Abstract

Introduction: This study aims to examine the effects of financial inclusion, digital financial literacy, financial management, and locus of control on the performance of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Banyumas Regency, using a Resource-Based Theory framework. Methods: The quantitative methodology of this study is based on primary data collected from 115 respondents, selected at random from a pool of MSME owners, via an online and offline survey. Results: The findings indicate that financial management and locus of control have a positive, significant effect on MSME performance, underscoring the importance of internal managerial capabilities and psychological resources. Conversely, financial inclusion and digital financial literacy do not show a significant impact on MSME performance, suggesting that access to financial services and digital financial tools has not yet been optimally utilized to enhance business performanceConclusion and suggestion: These results imply that financial access alone is insufficient without adequate managerial skills and strong internal controls. Therefore, MSME development programs are encouraged to focus on strengthening financial management practices and internal locus of control to improve MSME performance and sustainability. Abstract

Introduction: Poverty remains a major development issue in Gorontalo Province, particularly due to disparities between urban and rural areas. Differences in socio-economic structures shape the characteristics of poor households, leading to varying patterns of poverty across regions. Understanding these differences is essential to formulating more effective, targeted poverty-alleviation policies. This study aims to analyze and compare the characteristics of poor households in urban and rural areas of Gorontalo Province, focusing on education level, employment status, household size, and the age of the household head. Methods: This study employed a quantitative, descriptive, and comparative approach. The data were derived from the 2024 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) microdata published by the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The sample consisted of 265 poor households in Gorontalo Province. Data analysis was conducted using cross-tabulation and Chi-Square tests at a 5 percent significance level to examine differences in household characteristics between urban and rural areas. Results: There are no statistically significant differences in education level, number of household members, and age of household heads between urban and rural poor households (p-values> 0.05). However, a significant difference is found in employment status (p-value < 0.05). Rural poor households are predominantly employed as permanent and non-permanent laborers, whereas urban poor households are more likely to be self-employed or salaried workers. These results suggest that employment structure is the primary distinguishing factor between urban and rural poverty characteristics. Conclusion and suggestion: The study concludes that poverty characteristics in Gorontalo Province are multidimensional, with employment status being the key differentiating variable between urban and rural poor households. Therefore, poverty alleviation policies should be region-specific, emphasizing employment quality improvement, income stability, and human resource development in accordance with local economic conditions. Abstract

Introduction: Worsening air pollution and high exhaust emissions from fossil-fueled motor vehicles have become an urgent environmental issue. The use of electric motorcycles is viewed as a solution to reduce those emissions, yet adoption in Indonesia remains low due to factors such as high initial costs, limited charging infrastructure, and a lack of consumer awareness. Methods: A quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed. Data were collected via a questionnaire distributed to 110 respondents in Jakarta. Data analysis evaluated construct validity and reliability, as well as the relationships among variables in the research model. Results: The findings demonstrate that perceived product quality and perceived price significantly impact brand image, yet do not exert a direct influence on purchase intention. A green lifestyle also significantly affects brand image, yet it does not directly influence purchase intention. Brand image was identified as a significant intervening variable that mediates the relationships among perceived product quality, perceived price, and green lifestyle regarding purchase intention. Conclusion and suggestion: Brand image plays a key role in enhancing purchase intention for electric motorcycles. Therefore, manufacturers are advised to strengthen brand image through effective branding strategies and product quality improvements. This study contributes to the development of marketing strategies for electric motorcycles in Indonesia. Keywords: Brand image, green lifestyle, perceived price, perceived product quality, purchase intention

Abstract

Introduction: This study aims to analyze differences in financial behavior between poor and non-poor households in Gorontalo Province and to identify the socio-demographic, economic, and financial access factors that influence these differences. Poverty in the region remains a significant issue and is closely related not only to income levels but also to financial behavior and access to economic resources. Methods: The study employed a descriptive, quantitative approach, using secondary data from the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and official publications from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The analysis focused on spending patterns, savings and investment behavior, debt management, financial planning, and household socio-demographic characteristics. Results: In September 2024, the poverty rate in Gorontalo Province was 13.87 percent, or approximately 107,030 people, with an average household poverty line of IDR 2,837,704 per month. Poor households had an average family size of 5.14 persons, higher than non-poor households at 4.03 persons. The education level of poor household heads was generally lower, and their income tended to be unstable, leading to a larger proportion of expenditure allocated to basic needs. In contrast, non-poor households demonstrated greater capacity to allocate income toward savings, investments, and non-essential consumption, as well as better access to formal financial services. Conclusion and Suggestion: This study confirms that poverty in Gorontalo Province is influenced not only by income disparities but also by financial behavior, education level, financial literacy, and access to financial institutions. These findings provide an evidence-based foundation for local governments and stakeholders to design more targeted and sustainable poverty alleviation policies, strengthen financial literacy programs, and promote inclusive household economic empowerment initiatives. Abstract

Introduction: This study examines the effect of Return on Assets (ROA), Interest Rates, and Inflation on Stock Prices of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2019–2023 period. The objective is to identify key predictors of stock prices to support investment decisions. Methods: Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was applied to secondary financial report data, which is suitable for analyzing complex relationships with limited samples. Results: ROA has a positive and significant effect on stock prices (β = 0.512, p < 0.05), indicating that strong financial performance drives stock price appreciation. Interest Rates have a negative and significant impact, while Inflation is insignificant, indicating that this macroeconomic factor is less dominant. ROA is the strongest predictor, followed by Interest Rates. In conclusion, internal profitability is more crucial than external conditions such as inflation. Suggestion: Investors prioritize high ROA; management should improve asset efficiency. Keywords: Inflation, Interest, Return On Assets

Abstract

Introduction: This study aims to analyze the implementation of sustainable accounting practices using the Triple Bottom Line framework at Cafe Jamu, a village-owned enterprise (BUMDes) in Kepuhanyar, Mojokerto. Methods: This study uses a qualitative case-study approach based on Geoff Lamberton’s 2000 sustainable accounting framework, which includes five evaluation components: sustainable financial performance, eco-efficiency, ecological sustainability, intragenerational equity, and intergenerational equity. Data collection involved semi-structured interviews, observation, and document analysis. The results were analyzed using the interactive analysis model by Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. Data validity was maintained through source and method triangulation, with results confirmed by informants. Results: The results indicate that Cafe Jamu has implemented sustainable activities despite the absence of a formal accounting and reporting system. Empirical findings highlight five key areas: sustainable financial performance, eco-efficiency, ecological sustainability, intragenerational equity, and intergenerational equity. These practices are reflected in business stability, effective utilization of available resources, business reliance on local raw materials, community empowerment in the village, and preservation of knowledge about the use of traditional herbal medicines. Based on stakeholder theory, sustainability practices are influenced by local stakeholders’ interests and needs, and legitimacy theory implies that the social legitimacy of BUMDes will be related to the alignment of its operations with the community. Conclusion and suggestion: According to the study’s findings, Café Jamu's sustainable accounting practices are unevenly implemented, with environmental and cultural factors prioritizing distribution, and economic factors. To improve economic performance while upholding community-based sustainability values, it is recommended that the company gradually establish a basic financial and sustainability recording system.
