Abstract

Introduction: This study aims to analyze human resource training and development in improving the performance of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Umalulu District, East Sumba Regency. Methods: This study uses a qualitative, descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used in this study include field observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews with research informants. Results: The research indicates that human resource training and development initiatives are primarily delivered through direct methods such as outreach, technical guidance, workshops, and simulations. While these approaches have the potential to enhance work performance and efficiency, their impact is not yet optimal. Several limitations persist, including a narrow training focus, varying levels of motivation and enthusiasm, limited relevance of training materials, and budgetary constraints. Therefore, it is essential for village-owned enterprises to implement more structured, strategic, and relevant planning and evaluation processes when analyzing human resource training and development needs. This will support the sustainable improvement of BUMDes' performance. Keywords: Based Performance; Human Resource; Practices; Training and Development

Abstract

Introduction: This study aims to examine the impact of influencer marketing and viral marketing on purchasing decisions for MS Glow products in Semarang City. This study also examines the role of electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) as a mediating variable in the relationship between the two variables.Method: A quantitative method was used by sending an online questionnaire to 192 respondents who had purchased MS Glow products at least twice in the past six months. The data were then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to determine direct and indirect relationships among the variables. Results: showed that influencer marketing and viral marketing had a positive and significant impact on e-WOM, indicating that credible influencers and viral beauty content effectively stimulate online consumer conversations. Furthermore, both influencer marketing and viral marketing were found to directly influence purchasing decisions. Furthermore, electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) has been shown to mediate the relationship between the implementation of marketing strategy and consumer purchase behavior. These findings highlight the importance of combining persuasive influencer endorsement with organically spread viral content to generate trust-based social proof in the digital beauty market. Businesses are encouraged to collaborate with relatable influencers while encouraging user-generated viral content to reinforce positive e-WOM and drive purchase conversion more effectively. Abstract

Introduction: This study examines the current landscape of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives in organizational settings. The review aims to synthesize empirical evidence on how contemporary DEI strategies operate and assess their effectiveness across sectors during the period 2020–2025.Methods: This study adopts a systematic literature review design following PRISMA guidelines. Articles were retrieved from Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar databases within the publication range of 2020–2025. Inclusion criteria covered peer-reviewed empirical studies focusing on DEI implementation at the organizational level, published in English. Exclusion criteria included conceptual papers, opinion pieces, non-organizational settings, and studies without explicit DEI outcomes. From 1,246 initial records, 78 studies met the eligibility criteria. Data were analyzed using thematic synthesis, supported by narrative integration. Quality appraisal was conducted using the Critical Appraisal Skills Programme checklist to ensure methodological rigor. Results: The synthesis identifies three dominant themes. Effective DEI initiatives rely on accountable leadership, high-impact practices, and sustained cultural transformation. Persistent barriers include symbolic compliance, implicit resistance, and weak evaluation systems. While psychological outcomes such as increased sense of belonging and perceived fairness are consistently reported, evidence of structural and policy-level change remains limited. DEI effectiveness is strongly associated with system-oriented and context-sensitive approaches. Conclusion and suggestion: The review concludes that DEI initiatives should move beyond isolated programs to integrate them into core organizational design and governance structures. Long-term progress requires sustained investment, justice-oriented leadership, and robust evaluation mechanisms. Future research should prioritize longitudinal analysis, cross-cultural contexts, digital and technological integration, sustainability-focused DEI models, and the development of innovative evaluation frameworks. Abstract

Introduction: The management of village funds involves not only distributing and using government resources but also demands accountability and transparency from village administrations. Accountability thus becomes a key determinant of public trust in the integrity and performance of local governance. This research aims to analyze the influence of human resources and the clarity of budget targets on the accountability of village fund management in Kabila Bone District, Bone Bolango Regency. Methods: A descriptive quantitative method was employed with purposive sampling, involving 54 respondents. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, data quality tests, classical assumption tests, multiple regression, and hypothesis testing. Results: Human resources have a positive and significant impact on accountability in village fund management, whereas budget target clarity does not significantly affect it. The study concludes that enhancing village officials' competence through ongoing training in accounting, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting systems is crucial to improving accountability in managing village funds. Future research should expand the model by incorporating additional variables to further explain the determinants of accountability in public financial management. Abstract

Introduction: This investigation examines the intricate causal nexus among international trade liberalization, industrial transformation, and sustainable economic advancement across Asian countries from 2000 to 2023.Methods: Employing panel data regression methods, including fixed-effects models, this quantitative inquiry analyzes secondary datasets from the World Bank's Development Indicators and the Asian Development Bank, incorporating Granger causality testing and impulse-response function analysis across Southeast and East Asian nations. Results: Empirical evidence reveals bidirectional causality between trade openness and industrialization, with coefficients of 0.347 (p<0.01), demonstrating reciprocal reinforcement mechanisms. Industrialization has dual effects on sustainability dimensions: it increases human development indices by 0.428 percent while simultaneously increasing carbon emissions by 0.561 percent per 1 percent increase in manufacturing value added. Threshold analysis identifies a critical inflection point at USD 8,500 per capita GDP where industrialization-environment trajectories reverse, corroborating Environmental Kuznets Curve hypotheses. Variance decomposition indicates trade liberalization explicates 34.7 percent of industrial variation, while industrialization accounts for 28.4 percent of sustainability outcome fluctuations. Conclusion: Findings necessitate recalibrating policy toward integrative frameworks that harmonize trade expansion, sustainable industrial upgrading, and ecological preservation through green technology adoption and strengthened regional institutional governance. Abstract

Introduction: This study aims to analyze the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction in traditional gift-giving (seserahan) services with a modern approach at Kreasi Istana Wingking. The growing demand for customized, aesthetically enhanced seserahan services underscores the importance of maintaining high service standards to ensure customer satisfaction and competitiveness in the creative services industry. Methods: This research employs a quantitative explanatory approach involving 35 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire developed based on SERVQUAL dimensions and customer satisfaction indicators. The instrument was tested for validity and reliability, and the data were analyzed using simple linear regression after satisfying classical assumptions, including normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests. Results: The findings indicate that service quality positively and significantly influences customer satisfaction. Customers generally provided very positive evaluations of the services received, indicating that reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangible aspects play an important role in shaping satisfaction in traditional–modern seserahan services. Conclusion and Suggestion: It can be concluded that improving service quality is essential for enhancing customer satisfaction. Service providers are encouraged to maintain consistent service standards, improve communication clarity, ensure timeliness, and provide personalized attention to strengthen customer trust and long-term business sustainability. Abstract

Introduction: Employment contracts in the mining sector require employees to work away from home, determining the duration of their presence at the worksite, which typically spans several weeks or even months. This arrangement results in prolonged absence from their families and communities. Job performance is a critical aspect of organizational behavior, with higher levels of performance associated with fewer errors. In the mining industry, companies can sustain optimal working conditions despite the potential for human error arising from low individual performance, provided that overall performance levels remain high. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of work–family conflict and family–work conflict on employee performance, with emotional exhaustion as a mediating variable, among employees of PT Sanca Sumber Semen, Indonesia. Method: This study adopts a quantitative research design, in which data are collected using a structured questionnaire employing a five-point Likert scale. A purposive sampling technique is applied, yielding a final sample of 160 employees of PT Sanca Sumber Semen. To test the proposed hypotheses, data are analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM).Results: The empirical results indicate that work–family conflict and family–work conflict have a positive and significant effect on emotional exhaustion. Furthermore, work–family conflict, family–work conflict, and emotional exhaustion negatively affect employee performance at PT Sanca Sumber Semen. These findings support the Conservation of Resources (COR) theory, which posits that when employees’ internal resources (such as emotional energy, time, and attention) are depleted by role conflict and emotional exhaustion, their capacity to maintain high performance declines significantly. Abstract

Introduction: The rapid growth of the fragrance industry, driven by increasing consumer awareness of lifestyle, personal identity, and self-branding, has created significant opportunities for local perfume brands in Indonesia. However, the market remains dominated by imported, mass-produced fragrances, while access to premium yet affordable local perfumes with strong emotional value and personalization is limited. Scala Wishes Perfume is a local brand that addresses this gap by offering high-quality extrait de parfum products with a distinctive character and competitive pricing. This study aims to develop a comprehensive business development plan for Scala Wishes Perfume by analyzing internal and external business environments, and the strategic aspects of marketing, operations, human resources, digitalization, innovation, risk management, legal compliance, and financial feasibility. Method: The research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, document reviews, and secondary data analysis from industry reports and market research sources. Strategic analysis tools employed in this study include SWOT analysis, IFAS–EFAS, Porter’s Five Forces, Design Thinking, Business Model Canvas, Lean Canvas, and the Timmons Model. Financial feasibility is assessed using Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period, Profitability Index, and Net Profit Margin.Result: The findings indicate that Scala Wishes Perfume has strong market potential supported by favorable industry growth trends and rising demand for premium local fragrances. Financial analysis confirms that the business development plan is economically viable, with positive NPV, a high IRR, a relatively short payback period, and a profitability index above one, indicating efficient capital utilization and attractive investment prospects. The study concludes that Scala Wishes Perfume has strong business potential and competitive advantages, particularly in product differentiation, emotional branding, and omnichannel marketing integration. With a well-focused strategy, effective resource management, and continuous innovation, Scala Wishes Perfume is expected to achieve sustainable growth and strengthen its position within Indonesia’s local perfume industry. Abstract

Introduction: This study aims to analyze the influence of Communication, Work Ethic, Quality of Work Life (QWL), and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) on Employee Performance at Hotel Java Heritage Purwokerto. This research was conducted to address performance inconsistencies, communication gaps, and unstable work outcomes, indicating the need to explore internal factors affecting employee productivity. Methods: A quantitative approach using accidental sampling was applied, involving 105 employees as respondents. Data were collected offline through a questionnaire containing 34 indicator items. The analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) version 3.0.Results: The findings reveal that Communication and OCB have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. Work Ethic shows a positive but non-significant effect, while QWL shows a negative but non-significant effect. These results indicate that strong communication and appropriate extra-role behavior can enhance performance, whereas work ethic and QWL do not directly improve employee outcomes. Conclusion and suggestion: This study highlights the importance of strengthening communication channels and supporting constructive OCB to improve performance. Although Work Ethic and QWL do not show significant effects, they remain relevant and require attention through training, motivation, and work environment enhancement. Future research is recommended to increase the sample size, include multiple hotels, and add moderating variables such as job satisfaction or leadership style to achieve a more comprehensive understanding of performance determinants. Abstract

Introduction: This study examines the determinants of fund management accountability within student organizations at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram, with an emphasis on the roles of internal control systems and administrators' competence. In practice, student organizations frequently face accountability challenges, including incomplete financial documentation, weak procedural compliance, and limited managerial capacity. Prior empirical findings on these relationships remain inconsistent and highly context-dependent, particularly within semi-formal organizations in higher education. Accordingly, this research seeks to reassess whether internal control systems and managerial competence significantly enhance accountability in student organization fund management. Methods: This research adopts a quantitative associative approach. Primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 127 core administrators of student organizations for the 2024–2025 period. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 3 to test the proposed hypotheses. Results: The findings demonstrate that the internal control system has a positive and statistically significant effect on fund management accountability. Administrator competence also shows a positive and considerable influence, indicating that knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes substantially contribute to transparent, compliant, and reliable financial reporting. Together, the two variables explain a considerable proportion of the variation in accountability. Conclusion and suggestion: Strengthening internal control mechanisms and improving administrator competence are essential to enhancing financial accountability in student organizations. In practice, the results highlight the importance of standardized financial procedures, structured supervision, and continuous training to support accountable governance in higher education institutions.
