Abstract

Keaktifan siswa menjadi faktor krusial dalam keberhasilan pembelajaran IPAS di Sekolah Dasar. Namun demikian, tingkat keaktifan siswa masih tergolong rendah akibat dominannya penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru serta adanya perbedaan kemampuan awal siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing yang dipadukan dengan pendekatan Teaching at the Right Level terhadap keaktifan belajar siswa sekolah dasar pada materi transformasi energi. Penelitian ini mengguanakn pendekatan kuantitatif melalui desain quasi-eksperimental, penelitian melibatkan 30 siswa kelas eksperimen. Data keaktifan diambil melalui pre-angket dan post-angket lalu diolah dengan statistik deskriptif serta uji nonparametrik Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Temuan menunjukkan peningkatan rata – rata keaktifan dari 16,87 (pre-angket) menjadi 21,87 (post-angket). Uji wilcoxon menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,000, mengonfirmasi adanya perbedaan signifikan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Peningkatan terlihat pada semua indikator motorik, emosional, lisan dan mendengarkan dengan peningkatan tertinggi pada aspek emosional. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbasis TaRL terbukti efektif dalam mendorong peningkatan keaktifan belajar siswa SD.

Abstract

The study aims to describe how Catholic schools implement co-curricular activities by integrating government policies and the vision of Catholic education to achieve graduate dimensions profiles. The research used a descriptive qualitative method with a case study at SDK Hati Kudus in Samarinda for phase C students. The results showed that co-curricular model was developed based on an analysis of student needs and the integration of the graduate profile dimensions, school’s core values, and the vision of Catholic education. Learning was designed to meet national curriculum standards and to be a means of developing Christian virtues through authentic learning experiences that combine knowledge, faith, and life. The deep learning approach served as a pedagogical foundation that encourages active engagement and reflection among students. The findings also identified character strengthening in accordance with established profile dimensions. The implementation faced challenges related to the teachers' capacity to carry out their professional roles as teachers and as faith educators. Overall, this study confirmed that the co-curricular learning has the potential to be an effective strategy in realizing holistic and transformative education that is in line with national policies and the vision of Catholic education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences between PjBL-based GDL and TCL learning models on students' mathematical communication abilities, examine differences in FI and FD cognitive styles on students' mathematical communication abilities, and investigate the interaction between PjBL-based GDL and TCL learning models and cognitive styles on students' mathematical communication abilities. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research subjects consisted of fourth-grade students from two elementary schools in Cluster III, Depok District, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Data analysis was conducted through an independent samples t-test and two-way ANCOVA. The results revealed that the PjBL–GDL model had a significant effect on students’ mathematical communication skills (F = 116.75; p < 0.05; η² = 0.522). Significant differences were also found between FI and FD students (F = 46.29; p < 0.05; η² = 0.302). However, no significant interaction was observed between learning models and cognitive styles (p > 0.05), indicating independent effects. These findings imply that the PjBL–GDL model can be implemented inclusively without the need to differentiate instruction based on students’ cognitive styles, making it a practical approach for heterogeneous classrooms. The novelty of this study lies in integrating PjBL and GDL to enhance mathematical communication across diverse learners. It is concluded that PjBL–GDL is effective regardless of cognitive style. Teachers are recommended to apply this model flexibly, while future studies should examine its impact on other skills such as motivation and critical thinking.

Abstract

The decadence in the existence of regional languages in the modern era requires educational institutions to take part in efforts to preserve local culture, one of which is by introducing regional languages from an elementary school age. This research aims to explore the implementation of the Sundanese language local content curriculum in elementary schools through learning activities and cultural preservation programs. Using a qualitative approach to case study design, data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using interactive analysis techniques and tested for data validity using the Triangulation Technique and Source. The results of the study show that SD Negeri 5 Caringin actively implements the local content curriculum through three stages, namely: learning planning through the preparation of learning administration, the implementation of learning with various methods, and presenting learning media and resources that stimulate student activity and learning evaluation that shows the level of student understanding. In addition to formal learning, cultural preservation is strengthened through Sundanese language habituation programs and the use of traditional clothes on every Thursday, talent development, which is implemented by participating in several competitions and activities that carry local cultural themes, as well as commemoration of national holidays that are complementary in the introduction of Saunda culture in the school environment. Through this curriculum, the school succeeds in instilling local cultural values and providing students with a deep understanding of cultural richness. It was concluded that the school has created an environment that supports efforts to preserve Sundanese culture effectively, both in the school environment and in the community.

Abstract

Libraries play a vital role in providing a research ecosystem that supports students in actively seeking information to develop their knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the frequency of library visits and the academic achievement of Satya Wacana Christian University college students. This research was a correlational study using a quantitative approach. The sample size was 100 college students, selected using a random sampling technique non-probability sampling with the approach purposive sampling. Data collection in this study used a questionnaire. Research data analysis used the assistance of the software IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The results of processing the research data obtained a p value = 0.000 and a correlation coefficient value (rxy) of 0.673**. Based on statistical analysis which means there is a strong and significant relationship between the frequency of library visits and the academic achievement of Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana college students.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop a board game-based learning media called JUMATHJI for multiplication material in third-grade elementary school and to examine its feasibility and effectiveness in supporting students’ numeracy skills. A Research and Development (R&D) approach was employed using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The subjects were third-grade students from elementary schools in Kanigoro sub-district cluster. Data were collected through validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and a numeracy test. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques to determine the feasibility and practicality of the media, as well as inferential analysis using the Wilcoxon test to examine its effectiveness. The results of the study indicate that the JUMATHJI learning media achieved a very good category based on expert validation and received positive responses from students. The Wilcoxon test showed a significance value of less than 0.05, indicating that students’ numeracy test results had met the minimum mastery criteria (KKM). Therefore, the JUMATHJI learning media is considered appropriate for use in learning to support students’ numeracy skills. The practical implication is that the JUMATHJI media can be used as a learning medium in elementary schools.
