Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memberikan gambaran spesifikasi, bentuk, dimensi dan metode pemasangan alat pelindung jaringan pipa gas bawah tanah antara Kilang PT. Pertamina Unit V – Mother Station SPBG dikawasan Muara Rapak Balikpapan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian terapan dengan pendekatan studi kasus masalah potensi ovresstress, kerusakan dan pecahnya jaringan pipa gas dibawah tanah. Hasil penelitian mennggambarkan, metode proteksi jaringan pipa yang digunakan adalah metode “U Ducting Reinforced Concrete Protection” yakni sistim proteksi pipa gas dengan struktur ducting beton bertulang mutu tinggi dengan bentuk “U” dan dipasang menutup pasangan pipa. Metode ini terbukti efektif digunakan sebagai metode proteksi jalur pipa proses, jalur pipa utilitas di kilang dan telah diuji coba sebelumnya pada jalur pipa gas didalam daerah operasi kilang. Implementasi metode “U Ducting Reinforced Concrete Protection” adalah replikasi keberhasilan penggunaan metode sejenis di kawasan operasi Kilang PT. Pertamina Balikpapan.

Abstract

Model Economic Production Quality (EPQ) mengarahkan perusahaan agar dapat meminimalkan total biaya produksi dengan mereduksi biaya inventori. Parameter model dasar EPQ adalah demand, biaya setup mesin dan biaya simpan persediaan. Namun dalam kenyataanya perusahaan tidak hanya memiliki demand yang bersifat kontinu, namun sering kali terjadi demand diskrit yang pemenuhannya dilakukan dalam suatu rentang waktu tertentu. Begitu pula halnya dengan UD. Sanda sebagai produsen kerupuk ikan khas Kalimantan Timur, dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan konsumen terdiri dari 2 tipe demand. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Dari peninjauan jumlah permintaan dan perhitungan terhadap tingkat persediaan, diperoleh waktu siklus pengiriman optimal adalah 2 kali  dan biaya rata-rata satu periode adalah Rp. 3.336.750,- serta biaya total sebesar Rp. 6.673.500,-

Abstract

Melting of metals generally used the energy source of natural gas which is flowed through a pipeline at high pressure. Production activities in companies that use these gases have high potential hazards because they can cause fires or explosions if not managed properly. This study aims to analyzed natural gas dispersion in the event of gas pipeline leak, determine assembly point and evacuation route map plan for workers in the event of emergency condition. Natural gas dispersion was simulated using Computational Fluid Dynamic Ansys Fluent. Results of simulation showed distribution concentration of natural gas indoors at leakage almost uniform with concentration between 5%-13,17%. At that concentration the mixture of air and natural gas has the potential to explode because it is in the range of natural gas flammability. The maximum natural gas concentration of 13.17% at a height of 12 m above the leak hole. Generated two points Assembly point based on the calculation of blast radius with total area of 58,500 cm2 and can accommodate as many as 65 workers.Keywords :CFD Simulation, Natural Gas Dispersion, Assembly point, Evacuation Rute

Abstract

Bulk Metallic Glass (BMG) gains attractions as a candidate for future material in various applications due to its physical and mechanical properties. The fundamental characterization of the crystallization of Mg58Cu31Gd11 has been performed using in-situ synchrotron radiation technique complemented with differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). The glass transition temperature was detected and the occurrence of two step crystallization found during the process. Abstract

Shopping centers construction have to do a good building management so it would have a comfort for visitors. One of comfort things that should get the attention is audial comfort. In Gorontalo City, Most of the electricity users choose to use electricity from Generator set supply, this results an increase in noise. The rotors of the electrical generators basically can be controlled by the use of box silent that has been specially designed so that it can prevent noise. In addition on the control of noise to the same type of chambers electrical generators may also be convened with arranging in layer interior of the same type of chambers with the material acoustic absorbed sound. The use of acoustic material sound-absorbent can work effectively with right material, in accordance with the degree of hardness sound taking place in the room. This research takes the generator chamber in one of shopping centers in Gorontalo. Generator chamber in this study has been tasted in two treatment tests of space generator. In first test, the wall of the coated material dampers from Styrofoam with thickness 2 cm, and obtained percent reduction noise of 8,32 % , While in the second test by using layers Styrofoam and rugs are able to reduce noise into 17,58 %. The final result of the research found is that the previous noise of 95db can be reduced to 78,3db.

Abstract

Kelurahan Baru Tengah is a sub-district in Kecamatan Balikpapan Barat which is the coastal area. This sub- district is dominated by settlement activities. Based on the Spatial Plan of Balikpapan City Year 2012-2032, the target of providing the needs of clean water of Balikpapan Barat reach 100% in 2030. However, Kelurahan Baru Tengah is an area that until now the providing of clean water needs has not been evenly distributed. In addition, there has been no guidance of community participation in the provision of clean water in this area. This study aims to formulate the guidance of the water supply community-based participation by using Analytical Hierarchy Process. The result of the analysis that has been done is the communities in Kelurahan Baru Tengah can participate at the level of Delegated Power in the form of their idea. The results obtained from this research are expected to be a reference for the provision of clean water in Kelurahan Baru Tengah which involves local community participation.Keywords : clean water provision, community participation, coastal area, analytical hierarchy process.

Abstract

Industrial competition in the current global industrial era is not only influenced by product prices but also influenced by customer satisfaction with the products, one of the factors that influence customer satisfaction is the quality of the products, for which quality control is needed. This studies aims to measure the level of quality control as seen from the percentage of defective products and customer satisfaction. This research was conducted at PT X  which is a cable producing company. The method used in this studies is the First Pass Yield to measure the percentage of defective products, Customer Complaints and production claims related to the quality of raw materials & haspels to measure customer satisfaction through questionnaires. From data processing, the average value of First Pass Yield is 94.2% which indicates the average rate of defective products per month is 5.8%. Customer complaints show customers are not satisfied with the Non Standard Length relating to the marker and cable length. So as to improve product competitiveness we provide several improvement proposals based on the fault categoriesthat arise.

Abstract

In this modern era, the high consumption of electrical energy requires considerable resources. Resources used in this modern era include non-renewable energy and environmentally unfriendly, so it takes a new method that is environmentally friendly to meet the needs of electric energy consumption. The energy harvesting technique comes as an environmentally friendly source of energy, harvesting energy techniques utilize the resources around us without causing waste and pollution. Rectifier with matching impedance as a wireless power transmission with signal rectifier capability is an environmentally friendly method of energy harvesting technique. Rectifiers can generate electrical energy sources by utilizing electromagnetic waves as resources captured by antennas. Rectifiers are designed with application simulation process, matching impedance calculation, design printing and measurement with special measuring instrument. Rectifiers are designed and realized in the form of full-wave rectifier types. This rectifier uses a schottky diode HSMS 2860, The measurement of rectifier that uses a signal generator as a measuring device generated output of 5.08 V at 2.4 Ghz level +20 dBm and return loss -37.70 dBm at 2.4 Ghz level +5 dB. Keywords: Microwave, Rectifier and Matching Impedance

Abstract

This research intends to improve laterite material as an alternative filler composite mortar bricks, began with analyzing substitution of mortar sand composite, to its concrete mortar composite according to characteristic and compressive strength,  as comparison for common bricks  building materials had done. This research was pointed, to maximize the bricks compressive strength with laterite addition by experiment method. Samples were made with two variations, which is normally and laterite bricks (as sand substitution is 50%) and the compressive strength gain normal mixture was at 25,09 kg/cm2. Meanwhile, by using 50% bricks substitution and 50% sand substitution, the results was 28,56 kg/cm2. It can be assumed that compressive strength material can increase the compressive strength.
