Abstract

Virtual Reality (VR) is a technology that provide a user to interact with virtual world simulated by computer. To maximize the user experience in VR, a VR system must be able to recognize natural movement such as gesture. That's why gesture recognition system is important. Mobile VR development gets a lot of attention because of the increase use of cellular devices. One of the mobile VR devices is Head-Mounted Display (HMD), which is a display monitor that attached to the head to display virtual environment. Gesture recognition system can be implemented on HMD with controller such as Samsung Gear VR. Developing VR applications that have gesture recognition capabilities can take a lot of time, currently there are libraries that provide the ability to create gesture recognition system but the libraries only support VR Headset devices with 6DOF, but Samsung Gear VR only have 3DOF. In this research we have develop Gesture Creator Application on Samsung Gear VR for Unity Game Engine, this tool help developer to create and define new gestures and implement it to their VR application. By giving gesture through the controller, this application can record and define the gestures. Functionality of this application has been tested with Blackbox Testing and the result are valid as expected of the system requirement. This application use artificial neural network algorithm to predict the result with 86.67% accuracy. The result of usability testing using System Usability Scale (SUS) method is 65, which means this application get grade D or Good and categorized as Acceptable.

Abstract

The measurenment of body weight and height are very common ineveryday life, but there are still many people who do the measurenment manually and separately. When measuring body weight, most people will use digital scales, and for measuring height using a meter. To overcome this problem, the researcher made a system that can measure body weight and height while storing data on body weight and height into the database so that can be seen at anytime. In this system the researcher will use load cell to measurenment of body weight and ultrasonic HC-SR04 censor to measurenment body height. In this study, the data transmission will use a wireless and can store data into the database. From the test result obtained, the data from the reading of weight censor load cell has average data 2.73 kilograms with difference in data of digital scales 0,01 - 0,30 kilograms, and for ultrasonic censor HC-SR04 has average data 0.7 centimeter with difference of meters 0.1 - 0.5 centimeters. Data transmission using the wireless sensor can transmit data to a maximum range of 15 meters. And the data you get can be saved into the database.

Abstract

The occurrence of failure in development systems because of the bad cost estimation and scheduling. In estimating cost, CV. Profile Image Studio used a guesstimate method or guessing that is not based on evidence or theory, This makes CV. Profile Image Studio faces difficulties in justifying if there is a gap between estimated cost and actual cost. This research gives an insight into the comparative analysis of two estimation methods used for Sistem Informasi Manajemen Proyek (SIMPRO); Use Case Point and Extended Use Case Point. Furthermore, the scope will be allocated using Work Breakdown Structure approach that will makes the project scheduling is more structured, then be elaborated into a Gantt Chart. Use Case Point method produce the total cost required is Rp 169.233.405,00 with time allocation for 133,88 hours. Whereas Extended Use Case Point method produce total cost required is Rp 77.465.995.00 with time allocation for 61,28 hours. Based on the comparison of two methods, the calculation of cost estimation using Extended Use Case Point method is more recommended because it has smaller difference or gap with the actual cost that has value of Rp 44.150.000,00 than the calculation of cost estimation using Use Case Point method.

Abstract

The advantage of using network storage is users can access data easily and network storage will provide storage with unlimited capacity. However, there is a lack of data privacy and confidentiality in network storage and also there is possibility of internal attacks and external attacks if the data stored is not encrypted. SQL injection is one of them, SQL injection is used to get additional information by accessing the SQL console. Therefore, the stored data must be encrypted in order to overcome the attack. One of the ways to secure this data is to apply the SPECK algorithm to ensure data confidentiality. The SPECK algorithm is applied to securing files and data in the database. Tests that carried out in this study are test vector validation, system functionality, system non-functionality, active attack system security test, passive attack system security test and encryption and decryption validation. Test vector result from system is matched with the ciphertext result obtained from the journal, using input such as plaintext and key that also obtained from the journal.

Abstract

The Faculty of Computer Science is one of the best faculties at Brawijaya University. The Faculty of Computer Science (FILKOM) has several majors, one of which is the Informatics major which is most in demand by FILKOM students. When students enter semester 5, they are required to choose interests that are in accordance with their abilities. There are a variety of fields of study offered, one of which is artificial intelligence, which in this study, will focus on taking electives of interest in the field of Artificial Intelligence, to help students choose interests in accordance with their abilities. In this study, using the Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) method in order to get good accuracy for taking courses. The training data used as many as 30 data, where each class consists of 15 data for yes classes and 15 data for classes not with 5 elective courses. Then obtained accuracy values ​​for each elective course such as 40% Fuzzy Logic, 40% Decision Support System, 80% Digital Image Processing, 20% Evolution Algorithm and 40% Expert System

Abstract

Rice bran is one of the raw materials used as a mixture of animal feed concentrates, the use of rice bran in animal feed concentrates is 10% -30% from about 10 other types of raw materials mixed. with the number of percentages used, the company needs to pay attention to the availability of rice bran and also the price that changes every month, if the price of rice bran is too expensive it will change the basic price of animal feed concentrate, so the company must be able to predict the price of rice bran in the next month so that they can supply more rice bran when the prices would increase. To predict prices, we can use the fuzzy time series method with reference to historical data from the previous months, with which we can find out the price predictions of rice bran in the following month. The results of this study are expected to be able to help animal feed concentrate companies to be able to predict the price of bran in the coming months, in this study the best predictions resulted in a MAPE value of 4.43% with a number of training data 36 and interval length 12.

Abstract

Presence system is a system that will record a person's presence in an institution. There are variose methods in presence system. One of the is fingerprint biometric method. But this method can be contrained if the finger get injured or wet so the sensor can't read the fingerprint. Several attendance methods were implemented, signatures and biometrics authentification. Faculty of Computer Science (FILKOM) Brawijaya University still implements attendance methods such as signatures for students and fingerprint recognition for employees. Particularly for the presence of each employee both FILKOM lecturers and staff are recorded through the existing attendance system. But in its implementation sometimes there are some people who do not attend or forget to attend. This resulted in employees being considered absent. Therefore, This research will focus on an Android based presence system that will use autogeotagging metod. Geotagging is the proses of adding metada about the identity of geographical location. The collection of coordinates uses the Global Positioning System (GPS) which is integrated on mobile devices with the Android operating system.. The location point that has been obtained will be validated to determine whether the point is inside the presence area or not.

Abstract

The events of forest fires can occur naturally or artificial that impact environmental damage and loss of all aspects. Indonesia's wildfires are increasing annually. This is because Indonesia has many peatlands and rainfall in the dry season is less than half the normal rainfall or known as the El Nino Southern Oscillation (ENSO) phenomenon. Early indications forest fires can be known through a fire point (hotspot). In the years 2010 to 2018 found 14.070 fire points in Java region. One way to detect land fires is to divide the data of the fire points into groups using the Self Organizing Map (SOM) method. To measure the quality of the formed cluster, the Silhouette Coefficient (SC) algorithm is used. Based on the test results obtained the highest SC value of 0.248945455 with the value of neuron count is 3, alpha value is 0.1, maximum epoch value is 18 and the value of reduction of learning rate is 0.1. In 2017 the resulting SC value was 0,23416068940874324. The result is that East Java region has a big chance of land fires if seen from the point of fire that appears and confidence value.

Abstract

There are problems during the implementation of Job Training, namely the placement of students who are still not by the competencies they have. And students get jobs that are not by their fields of competence. Placement of street vendors is only still considering one factor, domicile or residence. As well as the existence of obstacles or obstacles experienced during the implementation of street vendors. Based on the problems that have been found, this study aims to determine the perceptions of students, teachers, and DUDI in determining the placement of street vendors and the obstacles experienced in the implementation of street vendors. The research method uses quantitative descriptive methods. Data collection techniques used were interviews, questionnaires, and observations. The study was conducted at State Vocational High School 2 Malang with the subject of research in class XII students of Computer and Network Engineering majors as many as 84 students, productive teachers as many as 4 people, and DUDI as many as 3 people. The results showed that there were several similar views when viewed from student questionnaires, teacher interviews, and DUDI interviews. The same variables of the three are academic, residence, readiness, and constraints.

Abstract

Wisma Rata is one of the buildings rental providers which can be used for wedding events, traditional events and similar events in Medan city, North Sumatra. Wisma Rata still uses a ledger in the data recording process. Although the data that have been stored in the ledger are considered sufficient for now, however the process of managing the reservation data and search the availability schedule of the building cause problem in finding data which are not efficient. Data storage is also not safe because the risk of possibility that the data being lost is very high. Another problem faced is the prospective customer must come directly to the office or must call just to find the information or check the availability of the building according to the desired day. Cause of those problems, the given solution is an building reservation information system that can help the process of building rental reservation, check on the building availability, store the reservation data, and recap the reservation data. Rational Unified Process (RUP) method is used when building the system with the phase of inception, elaboration, construction, and transition. The developed information system gets the results of validation testing with 100% valid results and compability testing with the result that the system can be accessed in different browsers. User Acceptance testing is then tested on five correspondents from each user showing that the information system of building reservation is well received by the user.
