Abstract

A mobile application called Ruang Guru is one of the well-known E-learning applications in Indonesia which has the highest number of downloads; however, the large branding turns out to be inversely proportional to the quality or usability level provided. This study aims to find problems in the application of Ruang Guru which deeply interfere with the usability level by the experts. The method used was Heuristic Evaluation with the principle of E-learning, this heuristic method specifically used to evaluate E-learning, because in this method the principles used were 15 principles that include instructional content of learning. Based on the results of the study, 28 problems were found in 10 of the 15 heuristic principles of E-learning. 3 heuristic principles had the most number of problems with 5 problems, namely H1 (Visibility of System Status), H4 (Consistency and Standards), and H7 (Aesthetic). And the heuristic with the highest average severity rating is H5 (Error prevention). From the problems found, this study provided 28 recommendations for improvement. These improvement recommendations were divided into 3 types of improvements namely user interface design improvements, system and security improvements, and user training.

Abstract

FILKOM APPS is the system that support in FILKOM academic service, include in thesis. But in reality, there are problems in implementation, so it will make some troubles for the student as the users of this service. The problem is one with others student can't get verification from academic after the student upload their proposal at the same time. The other problem is student can't get letter of assignment in the same time with the other student. This problem will make impact for process research of their thesis especially for student of final semester. So, it need an evaluation business process for academic service in thesis using FILKOM APPS with quality evaluation framework (QEF) method. The Quality Evaluation Framework (QEF) have some dimension to measure the quality of time service. First step for researcher is modelling the business process base on event log in FILKOM APPS record especially in thesis service with data extraction from Disco tools and the automatically process business modelling with ProM 6.8 tools. Next step with heuristic method, the event log data will modelled automatically. After that we do some mapping for business process modelling from event log and operational standard procedure. After that, researcher do some evaluation with time efficiency matric. The result of this evaluation are the activity of publishing of letter of assignment, verification from academic study program, verification proposal document after P0 and the scheduling of result presentation with this percentage of those activity not reach 100%.

Abstract

LoRa (Long-Range) is a wireless transmission media that was designed to be used on low-powered devices such as sensors and only needs to transmit small data over long distances. The application of LoRa in IoT-based ECG (Electrocardiogram) monitoring will assist patients. However, one of the main challenges in implementing IoT is its data security. Moreover, health data such as ECG data are considered to be sensitive because they are used in medical diagnosis. Therefore, a solution to this vulnerability is implementing a security mechanism between endpoints (end-to-end security). End-to-end security mechanisms can be implemented using cryptography. In this research, an end-to-end security using AES and HMAC algorithm is implemented. AES and HMAC is chosen because the devices that is used are low-powered and only have limited resources. That mechanism is applied to sensor nodes and gateway because they are the endpoints.In this research, an end-to-end security mechanism has been implemented successfully. But, the application of this end-to-end security mechanism has an impact, that is an increase in end-to-end delay that exceeds the tolerated delay limit in ECG data transmission. So, this mechanism isn't recommended to be applied in ECG data transmission.

Abstract

Government agencies have the duties and authority of the regions regarding the field of communication and informatics is Diskominfo Kabupaten Madiun. There are fields in Diskominfo carrying out its duties, one of the fields namely application and informatics has the task of preparing technical policies, programs, monitoring, evaluation and reporting. Diskominfo Kabupaten Madiun needs a good IT governance in order to have IT service management in accordance with the objectives and carry out organizational tasks with COBIT 4.1 in the domain of delivery and support (DS) focused on service and monitor and Evaluate (ME) focused on IT governance. The purpose of this study is to measure the value of maturity level and the value of the gap (GAP analysis) between current conditions (as-is) and expected values (to-be). Determination of respondents using the RACI chart mapping and data collection by observation and interview. Based on the data obtained the results obtained by the DS domain maturity value of 1.97 and ME domain maturity of 2.02 are at the 2.07 repeatable level. And for the gap in the target to be achieved DS8 and DS13 sub-domains are 2.00 and the other DS sub-domains are 1.00. For the ME domain that is to be reached at the 1.00 level. Proposed recommendations in the form of formal SOPs and best practices in order to achieve existing IT services and governance in the application and information technology fields are achieved. A DS2 subdomain recommendation consists of periodic monitoring management documentation, risk analysis documentation, third party performance monitoring documentation. In the ME4 domain, designing an IT governance management plan, drafting regulations understanding IT problems faced by all parties, evaluating and reporting governance management, and establishing a forum on IT governance management.

Abstract

The development of technology, especially the web can be used as competition in a business world. There are many companies in the field of wedding organizer services such as Sido Rabbi Wedding Organizer that require an appropriate web information technology, this is because business services, especially wedding organizers, require rapid delivery of information and communication. For now At the time of booking process, wedding service packages are still using via telephone (manual) or clients come to the company. In addition, many brides are lazy to go look around the needs of a wedding and compare one by one a wedding vendor's products / services. Therefore the development of a web-based Sido Rabbi Wedding Organizer Application System was developed using the PHP programming language, JavaScript by utilizing the Laravel Framework for back end and using the HTML5 programming language, CSS for making front end. And for data storage using MySql database. In this study using the waterfall method which is only limited to the testing phase. The steps taken are the literature study stage by gathering the foundation of research theory, the stage of data collection by interviewing stakeholders, the needs analysis stage by knowing the needs needed, the design stage as a reference for implementation, the implementation stage of the results of the analysis and system design, the testing phase to check whether the system in accordance with the previous agreement and the stages of conclusions and suggestions that are useful for summarizing the results of all stages carried out. There are 40 functional needs and 1 non-functional requirement at the needs analysis stage. The system functionality testing is done by unit testing strategy, integration and validation with 100% valid results. To test non-functional requirements using compatibility testing where there are 2 critical in 2 different browsers.system uses compatibility testing with the results there are 2 critical issues on 2 different browsers.

Abstract

Bank Sampah Malang (BSM) is an organization that plays a role to process the garbage from the human activities. The trash is a residual material that has no benefit and tries to convert it into a valuable things. When the process of garbage savings transaction, there was the various problem that complained by the garbage picker and the customer. Based on the pickers' side, the problem was finding the customers' pick-up location. Meanwhile, based on the customers' side, when using the garbage pick-up service, the bookkeeping transaction of the savings book must hand over to the pick-up officer to recapitulate by the teller, it makes the customers do not know the result of the latest recapitulation also they must bother to take their passbook directly to the garbage bank of Malang. The researcher had developed a mobile application-based location that facilitated the pick-up officer and the customer to provide the pick-up location. The development of this application used the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) using the Java programming language-based Android. The researcher read and determined the pick-up location service using the Google Maps API. When examining the development of this application, it showed us that the usability value was 81.774%, it meant that this value could be classified as good for usability test also the validation test scored 100%.

Abstract

Engineering Faculty of Brawijaya University is the sixth faculty at Brawijaya University. Faculty of Engineering has a website that is used as a means for conveying information about various ongoing information that related to the The Faculty of Engineering. The website itself has several issues related to usabilities, such as less attractive user interface, indigestible content layout and the presentation of information that is difficult for users to understand. To overcome those problems, it is necessary to make a user interface evaluation and improvement. Human-Centered Design (HCD) is a method used in evaluating and improving interfaces. HCD is a standard in developing interactive systems by involving users at every stage of its development. From the results of the evaluation conducted, the results of the evaluation comparison between the two designs were obtained, where the percentage for effectiveness' aspect in the initial design was 97% and for the recommended design, it increased to 100%. The average time required for the initial design for efficiency's aspect is 30.81 seconds and decreases in recommendation design to 10.60 seconds. As for user satisfaction's aspect with the questionnaire System Usability Scale (SUS), the initial design scored 52 while for the recommendation design results, the score obtained increased to 75.5. From the results of the evaluation, it is proven that the improvement using the HCD method can fix up the usability problems.

Abstract

Cement is a material that is used as an adhesive for solid materials namely bricks or concrete blocks into a strong and sturdy unit, usually used for making houses, walls, foundations, roads, or other buildings. In Indonesia, cement production is quite high. In 2017, the total cement production in Indonesia has reached 107.9 million tons. However, high cement production in Indonesia is not matched by the number of requests. As a result, Indonesia experienced an oversupply of cement which caused the price of cement in the market to experience a decline. Therefore, research on predicting cement demand needs to be done as a solution for cement producers in estimating the amount of cement that needs to be produced. In this study, discussing the Fuzzy Time Series method used to predict the amount of demand for cement. The data used is data collected from PT. Semen Indonesia from 2006 to 2018 for each month. From the test results, the smallest MAPE error value was obtained at 10.42% with a parameter value of 80 intervals for 24 test data and 96 training data.

Abstract

The progress of digital cameras today is able to attract the interest of people from various circles to buy it. As one of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) based companies that produce digital cameras, PT. Xacti Indonesia needs to develop business processes that run on the company effectively and efficiently. This study focuses on the evaluation of business processes in the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) division of PT. Xacti Indonesia. The current business process in the MRP division has a number of problems, where when updating the amount of material stock to the system it must take longer than planned and within one week there are still 3 to 4 failures in the system which result in some material data updated by the MRP operator is not stored by the system. Through this research, the author evaluates business processes using the Quality Evaluation Framework (QEF) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methods. The QEF method is able to combine various needs related to quality factors (quality factors) and help evaluate business processes objectively, quantitatively, and based on facts. And, the RCA method is used to analyze the root causes that occur in the MRP division process. The results of the MRP division business process evaluation using QEF were found Q12 (Frequency Failure) and Q13 (Time Efficiency) which were not in accordance with the planning, then the results of the appropriate root analysis using RCA with the 5 Analysis Why tool.

Abstract

Wireless Sensor Networks are a series of nodes. That's nodes will make a network. On this network, there is a Master node that works to collect data from all nodes in the network. If the Master node dies then the distribution process will stop. To overcome this we need an algorithm that can overcome these problems. Bully Leader Election applies an algorithm to select leaders with the highest authority among other nodes. The selection is made by checking the energy capacity of each Slave node and then the Slave node with the largest energy capacity is selected as the Master node. The system is implemented on nodes with the LoRa communication protocol. Each selection process will have the same time slot so sending messages do not clash with each other. The choice of the Master node will be influenced by the energy capacity of each node. The more energy that is owned, the life of a node will be longer. By utilizing the energy capacity in the selection of new masters, it is hoped that the possibility of dead Master nodes will be smaller.
