Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic in early 2019 made the face-to-face learning system in schools transformed into online learning. Online learning requires students to access digital learning materials, but the materials in the search results is often too broad which causes difficulties for students including junior high school students. This can be overcome with an Information Retrieval System that can make it easier for junior high school students to learn the desired materials, for example science materials. The Information Retrieval System in this study uses the Vector Space Model (VSM) method and the weighting using the Term Frequency Inverse-Document Frequency (TF-IDF) method. Systems that use the TF-IDF and VSM methods are tested with a combination of the TF-IDF, VSM and Word Embedding methods to determine the effect of the Word Embedding Method on the system. The result from this research is that word embedding can have an effect. The precision, recall, F-measure and accuracy values in the combined system test of the VSM and TF-IDF methods are 0.395, 0.8628, 0.5375, and 0.9306, respectively. The precision, recall, F-measure and system test accuracy values with the addition of Word Embedding in the VSM and TF-IDF methods are 0.38, 0.8880, 0.52822, and 0.9286, respectively. The effect of Word Embedding is that word embedding retrives more documents so that the range of documents obtained is larger. However, the use of additional word embedding in the vector space model can cause a reduction in the level of relevance because documents that should be irrelevant and unwanted by the user are likely to be retrieved by the system.

Abstract

Music is an important aspect within human daily life. The reason people listen to music is to fill spare time and to keep the mood in good condition. However, with so many music choices, users find it difficult to find music that suits their context. Examples such as considering music based on the location of the current user or the activity that is being carried out now. Required a system that can recommend music according to the context faced by the user. Application Development for Music Recommendations Based on Location moves on devices with the Android operating system. The recommendations are given in this system use the expert system method with forward chaining flow. The recommendation system will process the input obtained from the user and provide music recommendations in accordance with references provided by experts. Functional testing of this music recommendation system has met the requirements of "valid" by reaching a value of 100%. Similar to usability testing using the System Usability Scale method, this system managed to get a value of 75.5, this value is an indication that the system is in the acceptable category. This application can be used to find music according to the context considered based on the user's current location.

Abstract

The teacher is a professional educator who has a big task and responsibility to educate the nation's generation. Schools must improve teacher professionalism by evaluating teacher performance. SMP Islam Sabilurrosyad is a secondary level education under the shade of the Islamic Education Foundation of Malang City. It has not implemented teacher performance assessment. SMP Islam Sabilurrosyad didn't yet have the mechanism and rules of PKG. So that, made the gap between teachers because it could have an impact on the unfairness of schools in giving the rights of teachers or educators by the competencies, assessment indicators, and other supporting activities. Based on the problems that occur, the researcher designed the web-based information system user interface to help the teacher performance evaluation process. The approach taken uses Human-Centered Design (HCD) to fulfill user needs and facilitate users using the system so could be given satisfaction to users. The design was produced in this study were two high fidelity prototype designs, then evaluated using the usability testing technique with the Single Ease Question (SEQ) method to four respondents as users. Testing was done to measure the level of user convenience in working on the task scenario. The test results are based on data obtained that the tasks given can be done easily by respondents but need improvement based on suggestions given by respondents.

Abstract

SIAGUS is a teacher platform used to monitor the process of teachers' performances like teachers' promotion, teachers report to get performance allowances, teachers' data, performance appraisal, attendance, licensing or permission. SIAGUS facilitate teacher from Elementary teachers to Junior High School teachers whether they civil servants or not. This research is started by literature review. It is used as sources and references in doing the research. The next steps are choosing the respondents and design evaluation task which contains task scenarios which makes all the information gathered from the respondents is organized well. Next is usability testing evaluation and system usability scale questionnaire (SUS). In this step, data collecting is done by analyzing using ISO 9241-11 effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction. From the problems found, the researchers compiled an interface design recommendation in the form of prototype based on the guidelines.

Abstract

Coinciding with COVID-19 which is designated as a global pandemic by WHO, the Republic of Indonesia Government Regulation Number 21 of 2020 concerning Large-Scale Social Restrictions in the Context of Accelerating the Management of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is determined by referring to Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine. To increase the body immunity during a pandemic, one of the attempts is by eating healthy foods with balanced nutrition. Usually, when finding recipes, people often face many choices of recipes, which cause a longer duration of selection to start the cooking process because they will compare one recipe with another. With this application, the user can choose an efficient recipe more quickly. The recommendation system for healthy recipes to increase body immunity during a pandemic was designed using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. In the use of the SAW method, there were three criteria, namely the number of ingredients, the level of complexity, and calories. The tests carried out were functional testing which is a Blackbox test with 100% valid results, then nonfunctional testing which included comparison testing of system results and manual counting that got 100% results were same and SUS testing with Grade B results on the Grade Scale, Acceptable on Acceptability Ranges, as well as Excellent on Adjective Rating.

Abstract

Self-tuning the database system is a database performance improvement process that focuses on the timing of queries performed by the database. Self-tuning determines the parameter value to be used by the database based on the query time generated by the database. Self-tuning is known as a system that helps improve performance with human assistance or without human intervention. Self-tuning itself can only be used on systems whose performance can be improved, one of which is the database. Therefore, in this study we propose a new self-tuning system using the Gradient Descent method. In the first stage, we determine the parameters that can affect the performance of the database by paying attention to the response time value of the query when changes to the parameters are made. In this self-tuning database research with the Gradient Descent method, the parameters used are buffer_pool_size, read_io_threads, write_io_threads and io_capacity. Each of these parameters will be processed in the self-tuning system and will output the query time and will be processed in the Gradient Descent method to determine the new parameter values. Self-tuning will be carried out on the MariaDB DBMS by using test data with a different number of iterations in each self-tuning process. The results of the self-tuning test with the Gradient Descent method get an increase in the value of each parameter with a number of iterations of 20.40, 60 and 100. From the test results, the increase in database performance itself shows an increase of 67.92% with an average query time of 20 seconds. at 80-100 iterations.

Abstract

Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) is a network formed from many nodes that communicate with each other without any main network. To be able to communicate with each other, a process is needed to determine the path for information exchange. The process of determining the path of information exchange is called by routing. The number of nodes incorporated in the VANET network may cause a high routing load on the network. But it can be minimized, one of which is the multipath method. The Ad-hoc On Demand Multipath Distance Vector (AOMDV) protocol is one of the routing protocols that has a multipath method. The multipath method in the AOMDV protocol works by providing an alternative routing path that will be used if the main routing line is cuts off on its multipath mechanism. The performance of the AOMDV protocol can be determined based on testing of Quality of Service (QoS) parameters; Packet Delivery Ratio, End-to-end Delay, Normalized Routing Load, Overhead Routing, and Convergence Time. And based on the test results of the QoS parameters that have been tested, the AOMDV protocol runs optimally at a speed of about 75 km/h.

Abstract

Delivery of goods is preparing the delivery of goods from the warehouse to the destination that has been adjusted to the order and delivery documents and in conditions that are in accordance with the requirements for handling the goods. Problems that often occur are the destination locations that are taken have different locations, the goods sent do not reach their destination, couriers who do not understand the delivery route, and lack of determining the distance from one location to another. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize the delivery of goods so that delivery can be carried out more efficiently. One method that can be used to solve this problem is genetic algorithm. Genetic algorithm is a computational method used to select a solution that fits the criteria without having to examine all possible solutions. In this study, a global analysis was carried out by comparing the results of manual calculations with the actual results of the system. Where the manual calculation is the result of deliveries made by JNE without the help of the system. The difference in fitness between the results of manualization of JNE delivery and the results of the system recommendation is 0.007950764. With the results of the recommendation system that gets a fitness of 0.1083108 is better than the results of manualization which produces a fitness of 0.1003060036.

Abstract

Technology in the field of speech recognition is currently experiencing rapid progress. One technology that utilizes speech recognition is virtual assistants such as Google Assistant, Cortana, and Alexa. In order to improve the quality of communication between virtual assistants and humans, virtual assistants need to know who their communication opponents are. One way is by knowing the gender and age. Recognition of gender and age range based on voice is one part of speech recognition. Audio cannot be directly classified, therefore there is a need for feature or feature extraction, feature extraction that can be used include Mel-Spectogram, Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC), and Chroma- Short-Time Fourier Transform. Artificial neural network architecture is able to classify it, one of the methods is Backpropagation. From the tests conducted by gender classification and age range with a dataset from Mozilla Common Voice, the accuracy is less good, that is 0.18357. From the test results it is necessary to do additional testing, namely testing the dataset. When testing the dataset for gender classification alone, the accuracy of classification with the Mozilla Common Voice dataset is 0.62504, while the accuracy of the classification with the dataset from Free ST American English Corpus gets 0.9349. From the tests conducted it was concluded that the use of the Mozilla Common Voice dataset was less recommended for gender and / or age recognition.
