Abstract

This study aims to assess the linkage between inequality and information access concerning criminal acts in Indonesia. Macro-level data of 33 provinces in Indonesia during 2012-2017 from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) were analyzed using panel data regression methods. The analysis affirms that Fixed Effect Model (FEM) is the most appropriate model in explaining criminal behavior. Interestingly, poverty reduction leads in increasing crime activity. There is not enough evidence that inequality and information access influence crime. It is necessary to reconsider the use of microdata to determine the effect of inequality and access to information on crime.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of role ambiguity and role conflict on employee commitment with burnout as a mediating variable. The research sample was 120 employees of four manufacturing companies located in Bantul, Yogyakarta. Research findings suggest that burnout mediates the influence of ambiguity and role conflict on commitment. The study produced an interesting finding that role ambiguity had a negative effect on burnout and role conflict had a positive effect on commitment.

Abstract

Waste Bank is a waste management based recycling management program that is driven by the active role and participation of members or customers. The community group with the status of Housewives are considered to have more potential resources for activities in the Waste Bank, while customer empowerment is the main indicator of the success of the program. The city of Padang Panjang still has a high final waste disposal ratio despite having a Waste Bank. The research objective is to analyze several variables so that they can influence the empowerment of Housewives. The number of respondents was 74 people taken by purposive sampling from the Kurabu Waste Bank in the city of Padang Panjang. The results of the analysis by the SEM-PLS method showed that there was a significant influence on education about the knowledge of resource utilization and the growth of an attitude of caring for the environment towards empowering customers who were housewives. Bank Sampah merupakan program manajemen pengelolaan persampahan berbasis daur ulang yang digerakkan oleh peran dan partisipasi aktif anggota atau nasabahnya. Kelompok masyarakat berstatus Ibu Rumah Tangga (IRT) dinilai memiliki potensi sumber daya yang lebih untuk berkegiatan di Bank Sampah, sedangkan pemberdayaan nasabah menjadi indikator utama keberhasilan program tersebut. Kota Padang Panjang masih mempunyai rasio beban buangan akhir sampah yang cukup tinggi meskipun telah memiliki Bank Sampah. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis beberapa variabel sehingga dapat mempengaruhi pemberdayaan Ibu Rumah Tangga. Jumlah responden sebanyak 74 orang diambil dengan purposive sampling dari Bank Sampah Kurabu di Kota Padang Panjang. Hasil analisis dengan metode SEM-PLS menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh signifikan dari edukasi tentang pengetahuan pemanfaatan sumber daya dan penumbuhan sikap peduli lingkungan terhadap pemberdayaan nasabah yang berstatus Ibu Rumah Tangga.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover and find out the meaning behind traditional retailer's marketing patterns, customer attitudes toward the application of these patterns and more in analyzing the interactions between traditional retailers and their customers and to learn the subjective norms that occur in these marketing patterns.This research is a qualitative research with ethnometodology approach. The study was conducted by direct observation and in-depth interviews with traditional retailers and their customers. Informants were selected with criteria 5 R occupying rural areas of Kediri, the chosen ones were Blabak village, Kandat district, Kediri district and Blabak village, Pesantren district, Kediri city. The observations themselves were made during the sale and purchase transactions at each traditional store, which then conducted open interviews to reveal the subjective norms that occur in the marketing pattern. The results of observations and in-depth interviews in this study indicate that the four dimensions of Hofstade's culture, namely Power Distance, Collectivism, Femininity, Uncertainty Avoidance develop positively where retailers place and make themselves as partners, brothers who empathize with customers by using a basic attitude of mutual trust for fluency fulfillment of each other's needs. The noble values of the culture of the people of Kediri in buying and selling "nya nggowo, podho mlakune" based on high trust give birth to stronger customer loyalty, especially when traditional retailers also practice the service quality dimension of reliability, assurance, tangibles, empathy and responsiveness.Keywords: cultural dimensions, traditional retailers, siding marketing patterns

Abstract

Happiness research on economics has increasingly developed since Easterlin Paradox appeared. This research tries to analyze the determinants of happiness in Java Island, Indonesia. We use data from the Happiness Measurement Survey 2017 conducted by the BPS-Statistic Agency of Indonesia. Taking 23,456 observations, we employ binary logistic regression to test the effects of 13 independent variables on happiness. The results showed that income, education, health, social relations with family and society, environmental conditions, and a meaningful life affect happiness. In general, these findings strengthen some previous studies findings.

Abstract

Employee Career satisfaction is an important element that needs to be managed by the organization. This study aims to find evidence of the important role of mediating Career Management Behavior in the role of Organizational Support For Career Development towards Career Satisfaction. This type of research is quantitative research. The population used in this study were all employees of PT Barito Putera who got 44 people. This study uses census techniques in sampling. While the analysis technique is used is partial least square (PLS) with the help of SmartPLS3 software. The results of this study indicate that Career Management Behaviors can mediate the effect of Organizational Support For Career Development on Career Satisfaction. Kepuasan karir karyawan merupakan salah satu elemen penting yang perlu dikelola oleh organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan bukti empiris adanya peran mediasi Career Management Behaviors pada pengaruh Organizational Support For Career Development terhadap Career satisfaction. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan PT Barito Putera yang berjumlah 44 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sensus dalam pengambilan sampel. Sedangkan teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah partial least square (PLS) dengan bantuan software SmartPLS3. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Career Management Behaviors memediasi pengaruh Organizational Support For Career Development terhadap Career satisfaction.

Abstract

This study is aiming to develop the youth ecopreneurship intention. We evaluate how to process plastic waste into a valuable product as well as maintaining a sustainable environment. This is qualitative type research utilizing participatory and project-based learning methods. This method was chosen so we can objectively explain the feasibility of the use of plastics waste into productive goods. Data is collected using a participatory observation method, in-depth interviews, and documentation techniques. The object of this research is the youth in the border area, especially in Bengkayang. The finding indicated that intention and internal motivation in the youth entrepreneurship for converting plastics waste into valuable products are very positive. It is due to a relatively easy and inexpensive manufacturing process. However, there are external factors, that can negatively influence youth entrepreneurs’ drive, therefore we need to have stimulus and encouragement from outsiders (mentors), training and motivation. There was a tendency for youth to get bored with the long due process, and they want to get quick results immediately. This study only focused on the youth ecopreneurship intention in border areas, therefore it could still be biased. Therefore, further research is needed to provide more complex variables and a bigger number of more varied samples.

Abstract

Proses Peningkatan keuangan berdasarkan teori yang dapat dilakukan oleh beberapa faktor terkait dengan kepemilikan manajerial dan kepemilikan institusional. Maka dari itu, dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kepemilikan manajerial dan kepemilikan institusional sebagai variabel independen. Penelitian ini membahas peran kepemimpinan dan kelembagaan terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan serta peran struktur modal sebagai moderasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling dengan mengambil sampel 72 dari sektor properti, real estat dan konstruksi bangunan yang diterima di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2015-2018 dan menggunakan perangkat gratisSmartPLS. Hasil penelitian membuktikan variabel kepemilikan manajerial tidak bertentangan dengan kinerja keuangan perusahaan dengan hasil p-nilai atas 0,05, kepemilikan institusional berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan dengan nilai p-nilai di bawah 0,05, struktur modal tidak mampu memoderasi investasi manajerial terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan dan struktur modal tidak mampu memoderasi kepemilikan institusional terhadap keuangan perusahaan dengan masing-masing memperoleh nilai p-nilai lebih besar dari 0,05.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of servicescape and brand image on Consumer Satisfaction in SK Coffee Lab. Kediri City. The reason for this research is because there are more and more coffee shops offering product variants, both local and outside coffee, bearing in mind that coffee is currently popular with all people, young and old. The population in this study is not known with certainty so that a sample of 100 respondents was taken with a simple random sampling method. In collecting data used questionnaires, literature and field studies. The analytical methods used in data processing include the validity and reliability of the questionnaire, hypothesis testing and the coefficient of determination. From the results of testing all hypotheses are accepted. The coefficient of determination is quite high and the value of the influence of a brand image that is higher than servicescape on consumer satisfaction proves that the better the brand image of the place, the higher the customer satisfaction.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh servicescape dan brand image terhadap Kepuasan Konsumen di SK Coffee Lab. Kota Kediri. Alasan penelitian ini dilakukan karena semakin banyak dan marak tempat kopi yang menawarkan varian produk baik kopi lokal maupun luar daerah mengingat saat ini kopi digemari oleh seluruh kalangan baik tua maupun muda. Populasi dalam penelitian ini tidak diketahui secara pasti sehingga diambil sampel sebanyak 100 responden dengan metode simple random sampling. Dalam mengumpulkan data digunakan kuesioner, studi pustaka dan lapangan. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam pengolahan data meliputi validitas dan reliabilitas kuesioner, uji hipotesis serta koefisien determinasi. Dari hasil pengujian seluruh hipotesis diterima. Nilai koefisien determinasi yang cukup tinggi serta nilai pengaruh brand image yang lebih tinggi daripada servicescape terhadap kepuasan konsumen membuktikan bahwa semakin baik brand image tempat tersebut, semakin tinggi pula kepuasan konsumen.

Abstract

This research on investment decisions, funding decisions, and dividend policy aims to see its effect on the company value of the LQ-45 Index for the period February 2017-February 2019. This type of ex post facto quantitative research approach uses a population of 225 companies and with purposive sampling found 29 companies. Hypothesis test results show that investment decisions have a significant effect on firm value. Funding decisions and dividend policies do not significantly influence the value of the company. Together these independent variables have a significant effect on the dependent variable. Penelitian tentang keputusan investasi, keputusan pendanaan, dan kebijakan dividen ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruhnya terhadap nilai perusahaan Indeks LQ-45 periode Februari 2017-Februari 2019. Penelitian berjenis ex post facto dengan pendekatan kuantitatif  yang menggunkan populasi 225 perusahaan dan dengan purposive sampling didapatkan 29 perusahaan. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan keputusan investasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Keputusan pendanaan dan kebijakan dividen tidak berpengaruh  signifikan terhadap terhadap nilai perusahaan. Secara bersama-sama variabel independen tersebut berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel dependen.
