Abstract

Calendar is an expression of the rhythm of collective activity and at the same time serves to ensure its order. Therefore, various civilizations from ancient times to the present give serious attention to arranging their calendar systems in accordance with the philosophy, outlook on life and traditions of the civilization. Determining the almanac is a reality produced by a handful of elites (read: important groups of people in power in society) who are full of interests. The Arabs used to apply the almanac based on the solar system (Sun), then switch to the lunar system (Moon). The pre-Islamic Arabs had the habit of counting the months with the appearance of the new moon, but irregularly added once a month in three years to harmonize the date with the seasons, so that it was not purely applying the lunar calendar but rather the luni-solar system. This intercalarymonth was then used by pre-Islamic Arabs as a tool to play the month of Muharram which was forbidden to carry out warfare. Qs. At-Taubat: 36 confirms the prohibition of the practice of intercalation (an-nasi ') and the commencement of a lunar-based calendar system. So that since Muhammad's apostolate until now the calendar system has been organized, namely to make the Moon the basis of its stipulation. The shift, change and even improvement of the dating system as part of the dynamics of the dating of the Arabs during the pre-Islamic era to the Islamic era

Abstract

Ahlu al-Halli wa al-‘Aqdi are people who have the authority to loosen and bind (parse). They are the highest power holders who have the authority to direct the lives of the people to the masses. They have the authority to make laws that are binding on all people in matters that are not strictly regulated by the Qur'an and al-Hadits. And they are also a place to consult with an Imam (Leader) in determining their wisdom. The position of Ahlu al-Halli wa al-‘Aqdi in an Islamic state is to embrace the power of the people as a form of supreme power over delegations from Allah SWT. It is said that because the power is the right of the people delegated to the head of state as a party that is obliged to obey. The power of the ummah has been collected in an institution called Ahlu al-Halli wa al-‘Aqdi. In an Islamic country, such power in forming rules cannot be separated from the texts of the Qur'an and as-Sunnah. In the power of a country, this power is divided into three parts, namely: Legislative Power, Executive, and Judicative. Abu A'la al-Maududi explained with the three types of power as follows: Legislative Power is a power which is an institution based on the terminology of identical fiqh referred to as an intermediary institution and fatwa giver (Ahlu al-Halli wa al-‘Aqdi). Whereas Executive Power is the power of Ulil Amri or Umara who is tasked with upholding the guidelines of Allah SWT delivered through the Qur'an and as-Sunnah and to prepare the community to acknowledge and adhere to these guidelines to be carried out in their daily lives . The Judicial Power is the power of the judiciary (qadhaa) whose duty is to uphold God's laws in people's lives. In the power of the head of state, it can be said that Ahlu al-Halli wa al-‘Aqdi is a voter institution. The people are located as people's representatives and one of their duties is to elect a caliph or head of state. This shows that the election system of the caliph in the perspective of Islamic scholars and the tendency of Muslims in the first generation (in history) is indirect election or through representatives. In this case, functionally the same as the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) in Indonesia as the highest state institution and representative body of the people whose personalities are people's representatives, elected by the people through an Election (General Election). One of the tasks is to elect the president (as head of state and head of government).

Abstract

This paper intends to discuss several issues related to community-based education in the view of Islamic education. There are two objects of study that are addressed in this discussion. First, the importance of community-based education in the present context. Second, discussing community-based education in the perspective of Islamic studies. This paper is a literature study where the author will discuss these two objects by digging data from written sources. From this discussion the following results are obtained: community-based education which is also called in several terms (adult education, non formal education, community base education) is still relevant to be implemented at this time. This is caused by several things: the lack of capacity of the community in developing countries to access formal education, formal education is felt not to solve the interests of society, the incessant issue of democratization in all fields, and the principle of lifelong education. Based on these things, community-based education is relevant to be developed to date. In the Islamic perspective the community has a responsibility also to educate and nurture members of its community, this is stated in several verses of the Qur'an which explain that humans are created as beings better than other creatures to always invite goodness and prohibit munkar. This explanation is contained in the letter Ali Imran verses 110 and 104. Historical facts also show that at the time of the Prophet Muhammad's Islamic education began with the community such as: friend's house, mosque, suffah, al-badiah. In the current context of community education institutions in the form of majlis ta'lim, mosques, madrasa diniyah, skills courses all of which need to be revitalized as community-based education is still needed today.

Abstract

The essence of the learning process starts from a concept that learning is a change of action through the activities, practices, and experiences of the twomain factors that determine the learning process are heredity, and the environment. According to Melvin L. Silberman, learning is not an automaticconsequence of delivering information to a learner, learning requires mental involvement and learning action itself. Their own clarity and wisdom will notlead to true and lasting learning. During active learning activities, learners learn ideas solving problems, and apply what they learn. Active learning is afast, fun, supportive, and exciting move. Active learning is a learning process that requires learning dynamics for learners, the dynamics to articulate the world of ideas and contribute the idea to the realm of reality it faces. According to Hisham Zaini et al argued that, active learning is a learning that invites learners to learn actively, when learners are active, meaning they dominate the learning activities. By this they actively use the brain, either to find the underlying ideas and learned material, to solve problems, or to apply what they have just learned into one real-life problem. Active learning is needed by learners to get maximum learning outcomes. When the learner is passive or just accepting and teaching, and the tendency to quickly forget what has been given, the factors that hasteninformation quickly are forgotten is the human brain’s own weakness factor, hence by actively learning the newly acquired information will be stored in thememory of the brain.
