Abstract

Real-time parking availability information is an important factor in improving service quality in the hospitality industry. Conventional parking management still has limitations in providing accurate and timely information regarding vehicle occupancy and parking slot availability. This study aims to implement an Internet of Things (IoT) and Computer Vision-based hotel parking monitoring system using ESP32-CAM, the YOLOv8-L deep learning model, Kalman Filter through the SORT algorithm, Firebase Realtime Database, and a web-based monitoring dashboard. ESP32-CAM transmits video streams to the server, where YOLOv8-L performs real-time vehicle detection, while Kalman Filter is used for vehicle tracking and counting. The processing results are synchronized with Firebase Realtime Database and displayed on the monitoring dashboard. Experimental results show that the system successfully detected 14 vehicles out of a total parking capacity of 20 slots, resulting in 6 available parking spaces. The system was also able to perform real-time vehicle tracking and counting while automatically updating parking information on the dashboard. The proposed system can support hotel parking management effectively, efficiently, and in real time.

Abstract

The construction of the Singkawang Sedau to Sei Rasau Bypass Road is an important infrastructure project to reduce congestion and facilitate transportation flow. However, the delivery of information on this project is still limited to technical documents and two-dimensional images that are less capable of des the real conditions, making it difficult for the general public to understand. To answer this problem, a 3D animation design was carried out using the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) method, which consists of six stages: concept, design, material collection, creation, testing, and distribution. This study aims to design a 3D animation of the Singkawang bypass road (Sedau - Sei Rasau) using the MDLC method. It is expected to contribute to infrastructure development in the Singkawang area, as well as provide a positive impact on the community and regional development. The final result of this design is a 5:20-minute 3D animation of the Singkawang Bypass Road, which shows the condition of the road construction plan from Sedau to Sei Rasau and is considered effective in conveying information and facilitating public understanding of the development project. Questionnaire measured using a Likert scale by two subject matter experts and two media experts, yielded scores of 88% and 96%, respectively. A questionnaire was also administered to 30 members of the public, resulting in a score of 86%. The test results showed that all respondents gave it a very good rating, and this 3D animation is worthy of publication and presentation as an information and reference medium that can be used by the Singkawang Public Works and Public Housing Agency to continue the construction of the bypass road.

Abstract

Class imbalance is a major challenge in machine learning, particularly in datasets with varying overlap and dimensionality. While SMOTE and its variants offer synthetic oversampling solutions, their comparative effectiveness across diverse data structures requires synthesis. This systematic literature review applies the PRISMA 2020 protocol using a single database source, ScienceDirect, analyzing 20 papers (2021 to 2025) that explicitly compare at least two SMOTE variants (SMOTE, Borderline-SMOTE, ADASYN, SMOTE-ENN) on public or well-documented benchmark datasets. Of 777 identified articles, a staged screening process yielded 20 papers meeting the inclusion criteria. Results show that SMOTE-ENN and noise-cleaning based approaches consistently outperform in multiclass datasets with high overlap, while ADASYN and adaptive-weighting approaches excel in datasets with extreme imbalance ratios but low overlap. Borderline-SMOTE and boundary-based variants provide stability under moderate imbalance with low-to-medium dimensionality. Furthermore, G-Mean, F1-Score, and AUC proved more informative than accuracy for imbalanced conditions. This review offers methodological recommendations for selecting oversampling strategies based on dataset characteristics.

Abstract

Conventional Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems generally function only as passive surveillance tools and still require continuous human monitoring, which limits their effectiveness in responding promptly to security threats. This study aims to develop an intelligent CCTV-based security system capable of detecting and recognizing individuals in real time by integrating the YOLO (You Only Look Once) and FaceNet algorithms. YOLO is employed to detect humans and faces from video streams, while FaceNet performs face recognition through embedding extraction and comparison with registered user data. The system is implemented as a web-based application using the Flask framework and integrated with the Telegram Bot API to automatically send notifications when an unknown individual is detected. The prototyping method, consisting of requirement analysis, system development, and iterative evaluation, was adopted in this study. Experimental results show that the FaceNet model achieved the highest accuracy of 97.6% under the 60:40 dataset split scenario, while the YOLO model achieved an average inference time of 9.12 ms per frame. Furthermore, white-box testing confirmed that all system functionalities operated as expected. The proposed system is capable of providing active and real-time security monitoring, enabling faster responses to potential security threats in residential environments.

Abstract

Stunting remains a critical public health issue that requires not only prevalence monitoring but also an understanding of variations among affected children. This study aimed to stratify anthropometric profiles among stunted children in the Pamboang Public Health Center area using K-Means with Silhouette Score validation. A quantitative computational approach was applied to secondary anthropometric data recorded in 2025. The initial dataset consisted of 826 records; after removing one technical outlier, 825 records were analyzed. The clustering features included age in months, body weight, and Height-for-Age Z-Score (HAZ), while sex, height, height-for-age category, village/subdistrict, and integrated health post were used for interpretation. The optimal number of clusters was determined by testing K = 2 to K = 10. The highest Silhouette Score was obtained at K = 3, with a value of 0.4011. The clustering results identified three profiles: children with the most severe linear growth impairment, older stunted children with larger absolute body size, and younger stunted children with relatively milder severity. Spatial distribution was examined across the ten villages/subdistricts with the highest number of stunted children. These findings indicate that K-Means can transform routine anthropometric data into structured information to support more targeted growth monitoring based on child profiles and service-area distribution.

Abstract

Subjective bias, delayed data accumulation, and unfair bonus allocation are common issues resulting from the manual pramudi appraisal method at PT Samudra Jaya Transport. To resolve these challenges, this research develops a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) integrating the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). The AHP method is employed to establish priority weights for five core criteria: cargo, attendance, discipline, fuel consumption, and fleet maintenance. Concurrently, TOPSIS is implemented to rank 107 pramudi partitioned into three distinct categories: New Pramudi, Senior Pramudi, and Experienced Pramudi. The AHP evaluation yields a reliable Consistency Ratio (CR) of 0.0259. Furthermore, the TOPSIS analysis identifies the leading preference scores for each cluster, specifically PB-01 at 0.7909, PS-01 at 0.8691, and PSE-01 at 0.9308. Black-Box testing confirms that all core system features function correctly. Ultimately, this system ensures a data-centric evaluation process, eliminates bias, and delivers highly transparent monthly bonus recommendations.

Abstract

Porang (Amorphophallus muelleri Blume) is a leading commodity with high export value in Indonesia. However, diseases caused by Fusarium sp. fungal infections have become a major obstacle that can lead to crop failure if not detected and treated early. Limited knowledge of farmers in identifying disease symptoms and restricted access to agricultural experts highlight the need for a technological solution that enables independent diagnosis. This study aims to develop a web-based expert system capable of diagnosing Fusarium diseases in porang plants using the Forward Chaining method. The Forward Chaining method operates in a data-driven manner by matching symptom facts inputted by users against a rule base compiled from expert knowledge. The system's knowledge base consists of 6 types of Fusarium diseases and 22 clinical symptom indicators obtained through expert interviews, which are represented in 6 production rules (IF-THEN rules). The results showed that the developed expert system is capable of diagnosing Fusarium diseases in porang plants in real-time based on selected symptom inputs, while also displaying the disease name along with recommended treatment solutions. This system is expected to assist farmers in the early detection of Fusarium diseases independently, quickly, and accurately without directly relying on agricultural experts. System testing using the black box testing method demonstrates that all system functions perform as expected, ranging from the authentication process and data management to the disease diagnosis process.

Abstract

The advancement of wireless network technology has accelerated the implementation of Private 4G LTE as a reliable communication solution across various industrial sectors. This study implements router management using a MikroTik RB951Ui-2nD and a Quality of Service (QoS) monitoring system based on the MQTT protocol in a Private 4G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) network. The MikroTik router was configured as a relay through static routing and Network Address Translation (NAT) masquerading to distribute Internet connectivity from the Core Network to all client devices. The monitoring system was developed using an MQTT broker and Node-RED to display real-time QoS parameters, including throughput, delay, jitter, and packet loss. Performance evaluation involved six (6) active users generating video streaming, social media, and online gaming traffic. The results show that the routing and NAT configuration could transmit Internet connectivity to all devices stably and without interruption. The MQTT- and Node-RED-based monitoring system displayed QoS data in real time with an average latency of 45 ms. Furthermore, the implementation of Simple Queue on the MikroTik router proved effective in improving network service quality, reducing delay by 26.99%, jitter by 30.36%, and packet loss by 48.57%. All measured QoS parameters remained within the thresholds defined by ITU-T Recommendation G.1010. These findings demonstrate that the integration of MikroTik, MQTT, and Node-RED provides an effective solution for the management and monitoring of Private 4G FWA networks.
