Abstract

The satellite communication system that is used for ship communication in Indonesian waters is expected to transmit real time data at any time under any conditions. However, currently, the Vsat Gyrsoscope antenna that is installed on the Pelni ship still uses the Ku band frequency. This frequency band is very susceptible to rain attenuation. Vsat Gyro will automatically search for satellites that cover it. Only when it is raining and the ship is moving towards the port, is there a decrease in the receiving power level. SNR and power and C/N will drop. Therefore, it is necessary to do an analysis to overcome this problem so that it is not disconnected during the transmission. This study conducted an analytical study to validate the analytical predictions of phasing the vsat power signal level on the pelni ship to maintain communication during sea operations, which are included in TKT 3 (three). The tools used in the measurement are vsat modem, PRTG application, laptop, RJ 45 cable, and Spectrum Analyzer. By optimizing the calculation of the margin link budget, the calculation of Qos and the parameters vsat Eb/No, C/N and SNR when adjusted to the operating conditions of the ship with high rain intensity so that communication can continue to run even when the worst conditions can be maintained properly.

Abstract

The transition of RAN (Radio Access Network) development from the conventional model to Open RAN is motivated by the fact that Open RAN presents new services by reducing CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) and has the ability to integrate all cellular technologies in one server. One of cellular technology that can be developed using Open RAN is 4G LTE networks. The 4G LTE network produces internet with high data rate and low latency system. Various use case implementations can be carried out, for example to support learning on campus. In this study, the development of Open RAN 4G is implemented as a use case to build the Jakarta State Polytechnic SmartLab which produces its own cellular network. The importance of this research is to be able to ascertain the performance of the Open RAN 4G network using a Centralized RAN scenario. The method used in this research consists of knowing the problem, determining the tools used, determining the implementation scenario, configuring, and testing network performance. Parameters measured to test network performance are uplink downlink speed, RSRP value, and SINR value. Based on the scenarios that have been executed, the results show that the Open RAN 4G network has a maximum downlink speed performance of 13.6 Mbps, a maximum uplink speed of 7.22 Mbps, a maximum SINR of 22 dB, an RSRP of -200 dBm, and a maximum range that can be reached is 5 meters.

Abstract

Charity is a personality trait shared by those who want to serve others without being asked. Charity has been practiced for a long time all over the world, particularly in Indonesia. Due to the rapid advancement of digital technology, a new route for charitable programs has emerged: crowdfunding. Anyone who wishes to generate funds or make a donation can use crowdfunding. Crowdfunding is a collaborative effort of individuals who network and pool their money, usually over the Internet, to support projects, to help friends, family, or even strangers. The most common barrier that fund seekers experience is publication challenges. Publication is significant in fundraising since it increases the quantity of money raised. This research therefore presents an Android mobile app application that allows users to fundraise for charity activities, make donations to charity projects, search for donation, evaluate them (by interacting with donees), choose one or more charitable program, and make an online payment. This research adopt the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach to develop this mobile app’s system. The RAD approach enabled the development of the mobile app prototype to be completed quickly and enabled end users to test the mobile app to provide recommendations and make changes easily. Our research contribute to crowdfunding success factors related to publication barrier, user trust, privacy protection, perceived security, information quality.

Abstract

This study proposes a microstrip array antenna with frequency at of 2.3 GHz – 2.5 GHz for various applications, with smaller antena dimensions. The microstrip antenna designed in this study uses a rectangular patch consisting of two patch elements arranged in a linear array. The type of substrate used is FR-4 with a dielectric constant (εr) = 4.3 and a substrate thickness (h) = 1.6 mm. The feeding technique used is indirect feeding using a microstrip line feed. To increase the bandwidth, the antennas are arranged in an array with 50 ohm and 100 ohm microstrip lines. The simulated antenna parameters are return loss value -10 dB, VSWR 2, and gain value. The simulation results of the two-element array design with a substrate size of 123 mm x 65 mm obtained a return loss value of -27.99 dB at a frequency of 2300 MHz, -15.16 dB at a frequency of 2400 MHz, and -29.29 dB. The bandwidth generated in this study is 460 MHz or an increase of up to 283.3% when compared to a 2x1 antenna array without slit. Furthermore, the addition of slits succeeded in reducing the dimensions of 34.43% compared to 2x1 antenna arrays without slits. This antenna is very useful as a wireless communication receiving antena.

Abstract

Floods are one of the natural events that often occur, especially in areas that have a large population. Palembang is one of the cities in Sumatra Province which often experiences flooding due to its dense population and lack of infiltration areas. One way to improve flood preparedness is to identify floods by using fuzzy logic. This study aims to identify floods in the Palembang area using fuzzy logic mamdani and Sugeno methods. Flood identification is carried out in 6 stages, namely variable determination, fuzzification, inference, application of fuzzy rules, defuzzification, and evaluation. The variables used in this study are rainfall, temperature, area elevation, and the results of flood identification that have a value of flood or not flood. The results of flood identification using the Mamdani method achieved an accuracy of 82% while the Sugeno method achieved an accuracy of 91%. The results of this study indicate that the mamdani and Sugeno fuzzy logic methods are quite good in identifying floods so that they can improve flood preparedness attitudes.

Abstract

North Aceh is one of the districts in Aceh province that has great potential in the marine and fisheries sector. Many capture fisheries resources have become superior commodities, because some parts of North Aceh are suppliers of capture fisheries products. As for the problem in this study, there are several sub-districts in North Aceh district experiencing a shortage of fishery products supply due to their location far from the coastline, causing high logistics costs for the supply chain of fishery products. Therefore, an optimization model for planning the supply chain of fishery products is needed. The purpose of this study is to create a supply chain optimization model for capture fisheries using the mixed integer linear programming method. The steps involved in this research are compiling research instruments and literature review, collecting and analyzing data, determining parameters and decision variables, formulating objective functions and model constraint functions, designing optimization models, testing and modeling simulations. This model can minimize the operational costs of the fishery product supply chain from suppliers to consumers. Testing and simulating this model using the lindo program, with the result that the maximum value of the objective function is 36 in the 15th iteration.
