Abstract

Pengembangan pariwisata berkelanjutan, khususnya wisata bahari, memerlukan kesiapan masyarakat sebagai aktor utama dalam pengelolaan dan pemanfaatan potensi sumber daya pesisir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kesiapan masyarakat dalam mendukung pengembangan wisata bahari berbasis masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei melalui kuesioner kepada 40 responden yang terlibat langsung maupun tidak langsung dalam aktivitas pariwisata. Data dianalisis menggunakan skala Likert dan dikonversi ke dalam indeks persentase untuk menentukan tingkat kesiapan masyarakat berdasarkan empat dimensi modal masyarakat, yaitu modal ekonomi, sosial, budaya, dan kelembagaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kesiapan masyarakat berada pada kategori tinggi hingga sangat tinggi. Modal kelembagaan memiliki nilai tertinggi sebesar 83,17% dan modal sosial sebesar 80,35% (kategori sangat tinggi), diikuti oleh modal budaya sebesar 65,77% dan modal ekonomi sebesar 63,25% (kategori tinggi). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat telah memiliki modal sosial dan kelembagaan yang kuat dalam mendukung pengembangan pariwisata berbasis masyarakat. Selain itu, modal ekonomi dan sosial memiliki potensi yang besar untuk terus dikembangkan, terutama dalam pengembangan usaha wisata bahari dan penyediaan fasilitas pendukung. Temuan ini dapat menjadi dasar bagi pemerintah desa dan pemangku kepentingan dalam menyusun strategi penguatan kapasitas masyarakat, khususnya pada aspek ekonomi dan keterampilan teknis, guna mendukung pengelolaan kawasan yang efektif dan pengembangan wisata bahari berkelanjutan di Pantai Kurenai. Sustainable tourism development, particularly marine tourism, requires community readiness, as local communities play a central role in the management and sustainable utilization of coastal resource. This study aims to analyze the level of community preparedness in supporting the development of community-based marine tourism. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method through a questionnaire to 40 respondents who were directly or indirectly involved in tourism activities. Data were analyzed using a Likert scale and converted into a percentage index to determine the level of community preparedness based on four dimensions of community capital: economic, social, cultural, and institutional capital. The results showed that the level of community preparedness ranged from high to very high. Institutional capital had the highest value at 83.17% and social capital at 80.35% (very high category), followed by cultural capital at 65.77% and economic capital at 63.25% (high category). These findings indicate that the community has strong social and institutional capital to support community-based tourism development. In addition, economic and social capital have great potential for further development, especially in the development of marine tourism businesses and the provision of supporting facilities. These findings can serve as a basis for the village government and stakeholders in formulating strategies to strengthen community capacity, particularly in economic and technical-skill aspects, to support effective area management and sustainable marine tourism development at Kurenai Beach.

Abstract

Ketidak seimbangan data biologis lapangan dan kompleksitas morfologi alami akibat sifat hermafrodit protandri merupakan tantangan utama dalam pemantauan reproduksi komoditas perikanan laut lepas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimasi akurasi prediksi Tingkat Kematangan Gonad (TKG) udang utara (Pandalus borealis) melalui rekonstruksi data berbasis pendekatan Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD) dan kecerdasan komputasional. Metode penelitian diawali dengan merestrukturisasi lima kategori kematangan asli NOAA menjadi tiga kelas target yang tegas, yaitu Belum Matang, Peralihan, dan Matang. Ruang data tabular dinormalisasi menggunakan skala RobustScaler untuk meredam pengaruh pencilan (outliers), sementara masalah ketimpangan kelas yang ekstrem ditangani secara hibrida menggunakan kombinasi algoritma SMOTE dan Tomek Links pada data latih. Pemodelan klasifikasi dibangun menggunakan arsitektur Tree-Based Ensemble Learning tingkat lanjut yang menyinergikan tiga algoritma dasar (XGBoost, LightGBM, dan Random Forest) melalui metode Stacking dengan meta-learner Logistic Regression berbasis fungsi Softmax. Hasil pengujian menggunakan 20% data uji independen menunjukkan performa model LightGBM memberikan performa terbaik dengan capaian metrik akurasi sebesar 90,03% dan nilai F1-Score Macro sebesar 87,08%. Melalui analisis Permutation Feature Importance, model memberikan transparansi fungsional dengan menetapkan variabel umur (AGE dan LOG_AGE) serta jenis kelamin (SEX) sebagai dua fitur biometrik paling berpengaruh dari total 31 fitur hasil rekayasa data. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa implementasi model Ensemble berbasis penyeimbangan data hibrida memiliki urgensi penting untuk diaplikasikan dalam digitalisasi manajemen stok dan penentuan regulasi musim tangkap krustasea secara berkelanjutan. The imbalance of field biological data and the complexity of natural morphology due to the protandrous hermaphrodite nature are major challenges in monitoring the reproduction of open sea fisheries commodities. This study aims to optimize the accuracy of the Gonad Maturity Level (GMT) prediction of northern shrimp (Pandalus borealis) through data reconstruction based on the Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD) approach and computational intelligence. The research method begins by restructuring the five original NOAA maturity categories into three clear target classes, namely Immature, Transitional, and Mature. The tabular data space is normalized using the RobustScaler to reduce the influence of outliers, while the problem of extreme class imbalance is handled in a hybrid manner using a combination of the SMOTE and Tomek Links algorithms on the training data. Classification modeling is built using an advanced Tree-Based Ensemble Learning architecture that synergizes three basic algorithms (XGBoost, LightGBM, and Random Forest) through the Stacking method with the Logistic Regression meta-learner based on the Softmax function. The test results using 20% ​​of the independent test data showed a LightGBM model achieved the best performance, with an accuracy of 90.03% and a Macro F1-Score of 87.08%. Through Permutation Feature Importance analysis, the model provides functional transparency by determining age (AGE and LOG_AGE) and sex (SEX) as the two most influential biometric features from a total of 31 data engineering features. The conclusion of this study confirms that the implementation of the Ensemble model based on hybrid data balancing has a significant urgency to be applied in the digitalization of stock management and the determination of sustainable crustacean fishing season regulations.

Abstract

Caulerpa racemosa merupakan salah satu makroalga yang memiliki kandungan senyawa bioaktif dan berpotensi sebagai sumber antioksidan alami. Kandungan metabolit sekunder pada C. racemosa dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, salah satunya umur panen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kandungan fitokimia dan aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak etanol 70% C. racemosa pada berbagai umur panen. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan perlakuan umur panen 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, dan 45 hari. Skrining fitokimia dilakukan secara kualitatif terhadap senyawa flavonoid, alkaloid, tanin/fenol, terpenoid, dan saponin. Aktivitas antioksidan dianalisis menggunakan metode DPPH dan dinyatakan sebagai nilai IC₅₀. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol 70% C. racemosa pada seluruh umur panen positif mengandung alkaloid, triterpenoid, dan saponin, namun negatif terhadap flavonoid, tanin/fenol, dan steroid. Aktivitas antioksidan meningkat seiring bertambahnya umur panen yang ditunjukkan oleh penurunan nilai IC₅₀. Nilai IC₅₀ tertinggi diperoleh pada umur panen 20 hari sebesar 2394,07 μg/mL dan terendah pada umur panen 45 hari sebesar 126,01 μg/mL. Aktivitas antioksidan pada umur panen 45 hari tergolong kategori sedang, sedangkan umur panen lainnya termasuk kategori sangat lemah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa umur panen berpengaruh terhadap aktivitas antioksidan C. racemosa dan umur panen 45 hari merupakan waktu panen terbaik untuk memperoleh aktivitas antioksidan yang lebih tinggi. Caulerpa racemosa is a macroalga containing various bioactive compounds and has potential as a natural antioxidant source. The accumulation of secondary metabolites in C. racemosa can be influenced by several factors, including harvest age. This study aimed to evaluate the phytochemical composition and antioxidant activity of 70% ethanol extracts of C. racemosa harvested at different ages. An experimental method was applied using six harvest ages: 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, and 45 days. Phytochemical screening was conducted qualitatively to detect flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins/phenolics, terpenoids, and saponins. Antioxidant activity was determined using the DPPH method and expressed as IC₅₀ values. The results showed that all extracts positively contained alkaloids, triterpenoids, and saponins, while flavonoids, tannins/phenolics, and steroids were not detected. Antioxidant activity increased with harvest age, as indicated by decreasing IC₅₀ values. The highest IC₅₀ value was observed at 20 days of harvest (2394.07 μg/mL), whereas the lowest value was obtained at 45 days of harvest (126.01 μg/mL). The antioxidant activity of the 45-day harvest extract was classified as moderate, while the other harvest ages were categorized as very weak. These findings indicate that harvest age influences the antioxidant activity of C. racemosa, with 45 days being the optimum harvest age for obtaining higher antioxidant potential.

Abstract

Makroalga merupakan sumber daya hayati laut yang berperan penting dalam menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem pesisir serta memiliki potensi ekonomi yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi jenis makroalga dan menganalisis struktur komunitas makroalga di perairan Pantai Desa Lamamek, Pulau Simeulue. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Desember 2024 menggunakan metode eksploratif dengan teknik purposive sampling pada tiga stasiun pengamatan yang memiliki karakteristik substrat berbeda. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan menggunakan metode transek garis (line transect) dengan ukuran plot 1x1 m. Analisis struktur komunitas dilakukan menggunakan indeks keanekaragaman (H'), indeks keseragaman (E), dan indeks dominansi (D), serta didukung pengukuran parameter kualitas perairan meliputi suhu, salinitas, pH, dan dissolved oxygen (DO). Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi delapan spesies makroalga yang terdiri atas empat spesies Chlorophyta (Caulerpa racemosa, Caulerpa taxifolia, Halimeda opuntia, dan Chaetomorpha crassa) serta empat spesies Phaeophyta (Sargassum polycystum, Sargassum crassifolium, Turbinaria ornata, dan Padina australis), sedangkan Rhodophyta tidak ditemukan. Padina australis merupakan spesies dengan jumlah individu tertinggi. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman berkisar antara 1,38–1,89 (kategori sedang), indeks keseragaman 0,97–0,99 (kategori tinggi), dan indeks dominansi 0,15–0,25 (kategori rendah). Kondisi tersebut menunjukkan komunitas makroalga yang relatif stabil dengan penyebaran individu yang merata tanpa adanya spesies yang mendominasi. Parameter kualitas perairan masih berada pada kisaran yang sesuai untuk mendukung pertumbuhan makroalga yakni suhu 30,2-31,70C, DO 6,07-6,40 mg/L, salinitas 29-31‰ dan pH 8,10-8,22. Hasil penelitian ini menyediakan data dasar mengenai keanekaragaman dan struktur komunitas makroalga yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai acuan dalam pengelolaan serta konservasi ekosistem pesisir di Pulau Simeulue. Macroalgae are important marine biological resources that contribute to the stability of coastal ecosystems and provide significant economic value. This study aimed to identify macroalgal species and analyze their community structure in the coastal waters of Lamamek Village, West Simeulue District, Simeulue Regency. The study was conducted in December 2024 using an exploratory approach with purposive sampling at three stations representing different substrate characteristics. Sampling was carried out using the line transect method with a plot size of 1 x 1 m. Community structure was evaluated using the Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H'), evenness index (E), and dominance index (D), supported by measurements of temperature, salinity, pH, and dissolved oxygen (DO). Eight macroalgal species were identified, comprising four Chlorophyta (Caulerpa racemosa, Caulerpa taxifolia, Halimeda opuntia, and Chaetomorpha crassa) and four Phaeophyta (Sargassum polycystum, Sargassum crassifolium, Turbinaria ornata, and Padina australis), while no Rhodophyta species were recorded. Padina australis showed the highest abundance. The diversity index ranged from 1.38 to 1.89 (moderate), evenness from 0.97 to 0.99 (high), and dominance from 0.15 to 0.25 (low), indicating a relatively stable community with evenly distributed individuals and no dominant species. Water quality parameters were still within the appropriate range to support macroalgae growth, namely temperature 30.2-31.7°C, DO 6.07-6.40 mg/L, salinity 29-31‰, and pH 8.10-8.22. These findings provide baseline information for the management and conservation of coastal macroalgal resources in Simeulue Island.
