The existence of repositioning and recreation of post-reform parliament has put Parliament in a position parallel to the local government, and restored to proper functioning as the regional legislature. Placed before Parliament as part of the Local Government Council is not able to play a lead role as it should. Quality of life research focused to the aspects of physical and psychological health. The research goal were to know the description of the quality of life of elderly in PSTW Budi Luhur and Paal V Village of Jambi City in 2016. This research design is quantitative descriptive research. The number of samples in the study were 20 subjects each elderly PSTW Budi Luhur and Paal V Village of Jambi city, elected by Proportional Random Sampling. Data collected by using the questionnaire of the WHOQOL. Data analysed as in an univariate and presented in the form of frequencies distribution and narration in tekstuler. The results shown that the quality of life of elderly have the same percentages which as many as 9 (45%) were good and 11 (55%) were poor quality of life of elderly in PSTW Budi Luhur has and also in Paal V Village. PSTW Management supposed to enhancer activities of daily living and social and more religious activities such as personal hygiene and places sircumstance, exercises and religious on a regular basis. The Head of Paal V Village in Jambi City supposed to develop existing community health care of elderly. Keywords : Quality of life, Elderly, PSTW Budi Luhur, Neighborhood Paal V

Traffic violations are the problem causes the majority of traffic accidents. Mainly because of the human factor that road users do not obey traffic rules, police have been carrying out various efforts, both preventive repressive through socialization to society and give blangko fines speeding tickets and persuasive manner through educational outreach to the public about traffic laws in perspective of legislation, traffic and road transport is regulated in Act No. 22 of 2009 about traffic and Road Transport (hereinafter referred to as the traffic laws and Road Transport). In the Traffic laws and Road Transport, among other organized effort of coaching, prevention and law enforcement in the field of road transport and traffic. The coaching efforts made through an increase in the intensity of traffic education and extension of law and the construction of human resources. Due to traffic accidents besides inflicting casualties and property losses also financially/materially, as the amount of losses in natural by riders. It is concerned, if not done strategic steps to enhance safety and compliance with traffic laws of society, then it will add to the long list of casualties and losses are material.Keyword : law enforcement, traffic

One type of flexible pavements that have high structural value is SMA (Split Mastic Asphalt), so that high school is widely used in Indonesia to the streets with a high service level. SMA 0/11 (Split Mastic Asphalt 0/11) composed of aggregates of several factions that have a certain gradation using bitumen belt material.This study uses a SMA 0/11 with variations in fly ash content of 0%, 5%, 10%. SMA 0/11 mixture then compacted with a compaction temperature of 1600C. Then the test piece immersed in water bath with a temperature of 600C with a soaking time of 0.5 hours and 24 hours. Then testing by using Marshall.The addition levels of fly ash with a variation of 0%, 5%, 10%, greater stability of the value obtained with a value of 1665.135 kg, the value VITM getting down to the lowest value of 4.90%, the value of flow rose to a value of 4.644 mm, the value VFWA getting down to the value of 71.499%, the greater the density value with a value of 2.125 g / cm3 and Marshall Quotient higher value with a value of 354.323 kg / mm.Key words : SMA 0/11, fly ash, Marshall Test

This is an experimental study, where the experimental class was taught by Problem Based Learning (PBL) method – assisted by Vee diagrams using virtual media lab and control class was taught by direct instruction methods without the use of virtual media. This study aims to find out the responses of students toward the methods and media used and the effect of the use of the PBL method assisted by Vee diagram in thermo chemical material using virtual media lab to the students’ skill on science process.The populations in this study were students of Chemical Education who took Thermo chemical subject in the second semester of academic year 2012/2013. Sampling technique in this study was non-random sampling technique based on purpose. Data collection techniques for measuring the science process skill used analytical test methods and observations (observation), while the response of students toward the methods and media used can be determined from the questionnaire.This study found out that there are differences in improvement of science process skills of students who were taught by PBL method with students who are taught by the direct method. The results data analysis is also parallel to the student responses related to methods and media used. Where 92 % of students were interested in learning patterns and 94 % of students responded if the learning pattern is very beneficial for them so, indirectly it can measure the extent to which attitudes of students in the learning process skills .Keyword : Problem Based Learning, Diagram Vee,Virtual Lab, Termokimia.

Lagan village Tengan Eastern District Geragai Tanjab District is one of the village is still experiencing problems in meeting the electricity needs for the community, but the middle of the village crossed by the river lagan lagan.River is a river lagan adequate when used as a power plant to meet the needs of rural communities. The aim of the research is to find out the number of room occupants, average tariff per room, and deflator PDRB that become the factors determining tax revenue of hotels in Jambi City. The research was a descriptive study. The methods of obtaining the data were observation and library research. The data were secondary data of time series. They were analyzed by using regression analysis. The results reveal that the number of hotel visitors staying and using hotel facilities with average payment and tariff per room has a significant influence on hotel tax revenue. On the other hand, deflator PDRB dies not have a significant influence on hotel tax revenue in Jambi City.Keyword : Revenue, Tax, Hotel

This research aims to examine the response to the abuse of narcotic drugs by law enforcement and religious awareness in the city of Jambi, with the focus of the study of how law enforcement against abuse of narcotics in the town of Jambi and how religious awareness can help in the prevention of the abuse of narcotics in the town of Jambi. The results showed the efforts of countermeasures against the abuse of narcotic drugs through law enforcement hasn't been fullest do, to overcome countermeasures against abuse of narcotics in the town of Jambi, the recommendation can be given i.e., expected future religion can be portrayed in a manner instilled the values of religious awareness to the community or law enforcement related.Keywords: tackling the Narcotics and Religious Consciousness

The purpose of the study is diiharapkan in this research is to determine the effect of the decision kosumen consisting of cultural factors, social, personal, and psychological to the purchase of the Yamaha brand motorcycles and to determine factors among cultural, social, personal, and psychological more influence on decision consumers in the purchase of the Yamaha brand motorcycles. Studies using the survey method, does not have to examine all individuals in the population, because it would require huge costs and time. Research can be done by examining a portion of the population (sample), In this study Total population is the number of consumers in the year 2012 as many as 277 population in question here is the consumer at PT. Pure Jaya Motor Branch Penerokan Batang regency sample size in this study was 74 samples. Cultural factors, social, personal and psychological jointly have no effect on purchasing decisions Yamaha brand motorcycles. With the calculated F value is smaller than the F table (1.793 <1.96) then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Cultural factors, social and psychological no partial effect on purchasing decisions Yamaha brand motorcycles. This is indicated by the value of T count is smaller than the T table (0.662 <1.671) and in that case H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. While personal factors influence purchasing decisions partially on Yamaha brand motorcycles. This is indicated by the value of T is bigger than the T table (2.053> 1.671) it is thus H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected.Key word : Decision, Purchasing, Motor

PENGARUH DISIPLIN DAN MOTIVASI KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA KANTOR DINAS PENDIDIKAN DAN KABUDAYAAN KABUPATEN BATANGHARI Etty Siswati

This study is intended to explain the influence of Discipline and work motivation on employee performance in the department's Office of Education and Culture, Batang day.Analissis method used is quantitative method that uses path analysis tool (part analisysis). Testing the significance of the study variables influence employee Discipline (X1) and work motivation (X2) as an independ- ent variable, and employee performance as the dependent variable (Y). Test performed F and t test.The results of hypothesis testing for the effect of variable discipline to employee performance shows that the value of t = 2.503 at 78 degrees and α = 5% greater than the value daari t table = 1.665. This significant effect and variable individual discipline on employee performance. Great influence on the performance of employee discipline is 8.80% (0.088) > The magnitude of the indirect effect of education employees through employee training on job performance is 4.10% (0.041).The results of hypothesis testing for the effect of variable motivation on employee performance showed the value t = 2.163 in the degrees of freedom = 78 and α = 5% greater than the value of the t table = 1.665.The third hypothesis testing results on the influence of variables on the performance of discipline and motivation shows that the value of F count = 11,800 in the degrees of freedom = 77 and α = 5% greater than the value of F table = 3.960. This means that together there is a significant influence of variables on the performance of discipline and motivation.The amount of influence jointly given by the variables on the performance of discipline and motivation is 0.235 or 23.5 percent of the independent variables are influential or well explain the changes in the performance of employees and 76.5 percent are influenced by other factors not included in the model.Based on these results it can be concluded that the influence of Discipline and motivation together significantly affect employee performanceKeyword: Discipline and Motivation, Office of Education and Culture department, Batanghari.
