Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Local Own Revenue (PAD), General Allocation Funds (DAU), Special Allocation Funds (DAK), and Privilege Funds (DAIS) on poverty rates across regencies/cities in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) from 2013 to 2024. A descriptive quantitative approach utilizing panel data regression analysis was employed. Partially, Local Own Revenue (PAD) has a negative and significant effect on poverty rates. Conversely, General Allocation Funds (DAU), Special Allocation Funds (DAK), and Privilege Funds (DAIS) do not exert a significant effect on poverty rates. The implications of this study emphasize the necessity of optimizing regional fiscal independence through PAD, alongside reorienting and enhancing the allocation efficiency of central transfer and privilege funds to align them directly with targeted poverty alleviation programs.

Abstract

The economic growth of Micro, small and medium is currently one of the business sectors that contribute to the regional economy. KRIBO has the potential to develop its business through digital marketing and integrated marketing communication through the right communication media, because some sales transactions are done digitally and online. The level of readiness to use digital marketing in the application used has an effect on the message that will be received or delivered to consumers. The IMC concept integrating businesses and integrates all communication channels in conveying the message of a product consistently and clearly. Furthermore, digital marketing significantly strengthens IMC by facilitating consistent and interactive communication across multiple digital platforms. Both digital marketing and IMC have significant positive effects on marketing performance, measured by market expansion, customer acquisition, brand awareness, and sales growth. The results demonstrate that integrating these strategic elements enables SMEs to respond more effectively to changing customer preferences, improve competitive advantage, and support long-term business sustainability. This study contributes to the marketing and SME literature by proposing an integrated framework that combines market development strategy, digital marketing, and IMC. The findings also provide practical implications for SME managers and policymakers seeking to strengthen SME competitiveness through digital transformation and coordinated marketing communication strategies.

Abstract

Advances in digital payment technology have reshaped how Generation Z students consume, largely through their growing embrace of a cashless lifestyle and digital wallets. This study set out to determine whether a cashless lifestyle and the intensity of digital wallet use shape consumptive behavior, examining self-control as a mediating mechanism and Islamic values as a moderating factor. Using a purposive sample of 80 students from Universitas Islam An-Nadwah Kuala Tungkal, quantitative survey data were gathered and processed through SEM-PLS. Findings indicate that both a cashless lifestyle and digital wallet usage intensity raise consumptive behavior, whereas self-control and Islamic values lower it. Islamic values were found to moderate only the self-control-to-consumptive-behavior pathway, while self-control failed to mediate the pathways linking cashless lifestyle or digital wallet usage to consumptive behavior. Taken together, the results underscore that cultivating self-control and instilling Islamic values are key to fostering wiser consumption habits among students.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effects of the role of agricultural extension workers and farmers' perceptions on the level of ICM technology adoption in lowland rice farming. This study employed a quantitative survey method involving 98 farmers selected through Proportional Simple Random Sampling. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicated that both the role of agricultural extension workers and farmers' perceptions had a positive and significant effect, both individually and simultaneously, on the adoption level of ICM technology (p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.585, indicating that 58.5% of the variation in the adoption level of ICM technology could be explained by these two variables, while the remaining 41.5% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening the role of agricultural extension workers and improving farmers' positive perceptions to promote wider adoption of ICM technology.

Abstract

Regional economic development is a strategic step to improve community welfare and strengthen regional economic activity. Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) serves as the primary indicator of economic performance, which is influenced by the availability of infrastructure, labor, and capital. This study aims to analyze the effect of road infrastructure, labor, and domestic direct investment (DDI) on GRDP in Central Java from 2017 to 2025. The research methodology utilizes multiple linear regression with panel data. The results show that road infrastructure, labor, and investment have a negative and significant effect on the GRDP of Central Java Province from 2017 to 2025. These findings imply that local governments are advised to focus on improving road quality, developing human resource competencies, and creating a conducive investment climate

Abstract

This study explores the economic resilience and challenges faced by women farmers engaged in collective agricultural ventures in the districts of Purbalingga, Banjarnegara, and Banyumas, Indonesia. Women farmers’ groups, known locally as Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT), play a vital role in rural agricultural economies by fostering cooperative farming, knowledge sharing, and mutual support. Despite their contributions, these women encounter multifaceted challenges, including limited access to capital, market barriers, infrastructural constraints, and entrenched gender norms. Employing a mixed qualitative approach of surveys, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions, this research reveals how KWT membership enhances household income, financial autonomy, and decision-making power among women. Livelihood diversification and social capital emerge as key strategies supporting economic resilience. However, persistent barriers like capital scarcity, infrastructure limitations, and generational engagement risks threaten sustainability. The study recommends targeted policy interventions to strengthen institutional support, financial inclusion, youth engagement, gender-sensitive policies, and market access to sustain and amplify these gains. These findings contribute contextualized insights into women’s economic empowerment through collective agriculture, informing stakeholders on advancing equitable and resilient rural development in Indonesia.

Abstract

Checking product categories and expiry dates in grocery stores is still largely done manually, making the process error-prone and time-consuming, especially for packaging with small or inconsistently formatted date prints. This research builds a two-stage pipeline that automatically classifies grocery product categories and detects expiry dates from product images. The method consists of an image classification model based on transfer learning with a frozen ResNet50 backbone, trained on three product categories (Fruits, Dairy Products, and Bread), and an expiry-date detection module leveraging the CRAFT text detector built into EasyOCR, combined with regular-expression matching and a tiered OCR fallback mechanism. The classification model was trained on 398 training images and evaluated on 98 validation images, achieving a validation accuracy of 83.67%, well above the 33.3% random-guess baseline for three classes, with the highest F1-score on the Dairy Products category (0.91). Testing of the date-detection pipeline on 63 test images showed a detection precision of 70.0% and an overall valid-date rate of 44.4%, indicating that a pragmatic approach based on a ready-made text detector can function without training a dedicated object detector, although reliability still needs improvement in filtering false-positive date candidates. Evaluation of the integrated system further found that the initial design assumption, that OCR should only run on packaged categories, was not entirely accurate, since the Fruits category showed a higher success rate (83.3%) than the packaged category (40.4%). The main contribution of this research is a pragmatic approach that leverages a ready-made text detector to locate very small date objects without training a dedicated object detector from scratch, allowing the pipeline to be implemented end-to-end under limited data and computing resources.
