Abstract

Smoking is an easily imitated adult behaviour and is the most noticeable behavior in demonstrating the attitude of maturity. Smoking can be a way for the youth to have them appear free and mature as they adapt to their peers. The decision to smoke may be a reflection of the problem of self-concept and influenced by culture (Potter and Perry, 2010). The concept of self develops gradually as babies begin to recognize and distinguish themselves from others. The formation of this self concept is strongly influenced by the care of parents and their environment (Tarwoto and Wartonah, 2011). The purpose of this research is to know the self-concept relationship with smoking behavior in class VIII teenagers in SMP Negeri 3 Pekanbaru. This research uses cross sectional methods. The population in this study amounted to 83 people. Sampling uses a total of 83 people. Data collection is performed using questionnaires. Data is analyzed univariate and bivariate. The results showed the teenage grade VIII teenagers in SMP Negeri 3 Pekanbaru had a low self concept as much as (53%) and adolescents who behave as much as (57.8%). And the results of statistical test Show (p value = 0.001) means there is a significant relationship Asntara self-concept with the behavior of smoking in class VIII teenagers in SMP Negeri 3 Pekanbaru. The results of this research can be used as input for the school to be more firmly sanctioned and more stringent in the overseas students in the school environment to prevent the occurrence of smoking behavior in students. Parents are expected to supervise the child who performs the smoking behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of profitability, lagged dividends, size, and leverage on dividend policy. The population in this study are companies in the consumer goods industry sector which are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in 2016-2018. This type of research is quantitative research. Sampling with purposive sampling technique resulted in 19 companies in the consumer goods industry sector in 2016-2018 according to the specified criteria, in order to obtain 57 research data. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis with the SPSS version 23. IMB program. The results of this study concluded that profitability and lagged dividends affect the dividend policy. While size and leverage have no effect on dividend policy.

Abstract

The archive is one source of information that has an important function to support the process of administration and management of an agency. All activities carried out by the agency, whether in the form of proposals, correspondence or other documents will be archived. The recorded information is evidence and documentation or memory for the agency concerned. In the village of Kampung Besar Teluknaga the letter filing system that is running is still not computerized, so that in the system there are some problems in the accuracy of the data. This study aims to create a letter management system to improve the efficiency of retrieval in the context of investigative and official reference activities. The Alphabetical Filing and Chronology System method is used in system design because it is simple and easy to implement, archiving letters to large villages in the bay using a desktop program that is easy to use in the system is also easy in terms of use and maintenance. In addition to simplifying the process of archiving letters, the system also facilitates employees in the process of making reports and searching data. The proposed system is expected to improve the current system so that it can make the filing system of incoming and outgoing letters in the village of Kampung Besar Teluknaga more effective and efficient.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship characteristic of respondents, purchasing power and the origin of ethnic groups with the foster pattern in the feeding of milk escort food (MPASI) in infants aged 0-12 months in Jambi city. This research using methods is an observational research with a mixed method research method between qualitative and quantitative research. This research was conducted in several tribes in Jambi city, such as the people of Origin Jambi as the result of the research is characteristic of respondents who have a last education low of 38 people (39.6%), knowledge of MPASI less well as 66 people (68.8%), customs habits (MPASI) less good as many as 45 people (46.9%), not working as much as 77 people ( And the foster pattern of poor MPASI as much as 50 people (52.1%).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of inflation, Gross Regional Domestic Product, and Human Development Index on poverty in Banjarnegara, Cilacap Purbalingga, Kebumen, dan Banyumas Regencies. The data used in this study are secondary data in the period 2000-2019. With the multiple linear regression method panel data. The regression output with the fixed effect model shows that the inflation variable does not have a significant effect on poverty, and the Human Development Index and Gross Regional Domestic Product variables have a negative and significant effect on poverty in Banjarnegara, Cilacap Purbalingga, Kebumen, dan Banyumas Regencies. This finding implies local governments to create jobs and provide training and improve education infrastructure and health infrastructure.

Abstract

To determine factors that influence fracture patients on the selection of fracture treatment in Raden Mattaher General Hospital of Jambi. A cross-sectional study was conducted from May 23 to September 25, 2018, using a questionnaire with limb fracture patients as participants. The survey included questions about the selection of fracture treatment, severity fracture, beliefs, culture, side effects, and treatment costs, and was completed by 64 patients. Data analysis used for this study were chi-square test. The factors affecting the selection of fracture treatment were fracture severity (p 0.001; 95% CI 2.13-32.60), beliefs (p 0.003; 95% CI 1.70-20.53), and treatment costs (p 0.009; 95% CI 1.41 – 33.14). Professional personnel, especially nurses, need a persuasive approach and education with appropriate communication and media in fracture patients and families so that they can make the right decisions in fracture treatment.

Abstract

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in woman. In Europen there are approximately 175,000 cases found regarding breast cancer and more than 165,000 patients died if the cancer is not controlled, whereas in the United States 44,000 patients died of breast cancer. According to the Hospital Statistics in the Breast Cancer Hospital Information System, Indonesia is the first rank of the most breast cancer patients which can be found in almost every hospital in Indonesia. The impact of breast cancer on the aspects of bio- psycho- social- spritual in breast cancer patients include anxiety and depression.Unfortunately this study is not commonly carried aut by researchers. One effort to reduce anxiety and depression in breast cancer patients is to provide social support. This study aims to determine the relationship of social support with anxiety and depression in breast cancer patients. The method used is analytic cross- sectional study.Also this study is conducted at Raden Mattaher Hospital in Jambi, with 97 breast cancer patients were picked as participants. Data sampling that is utilised in this study was incidental sampling.The data were colleted by using several methods, such as the Multidemensional Scale of Perceived of Social Support (MSPSS) instrument, and the Hospital Anxiety and depression Scale (HADS), and later those data were analysed with Bivariate Analysis using the Chi Square test. The results showed that the average age of breast cancer patient is 46,57, length of diagnosis is 28,59 months, low education level patient is 68,0%, patient who has merried is 91,8%, unemployed patient is 78,4%, patient who reseived good social support is 54,6%, patient with anxiety is 49,5%, and patient with depression is 50,5%. There is relationship between social support and anxiety in breast cancer patients, with (p:0,000).

Abstract

The research aims to determine the influence of company size, leverage, profitability, sales growth, audit committee, and cash flow operations against tax avoidance. Dependent variables in this study are tax avoidance while the independent variables used in this research are company size, leverage, profitability and audit committees. This research is focused on the LQ45 company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) period 2015-2018. The selection of samples in this study used the purposive sampling method, thus obtained a sample of 51 sample data from the LQ45 company population listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) period 2015-2018. The analytical tools used in this study are multiple linear regression analyses. The results of this research show that the variable cash flow operations affect the tax avoidance, while the company size variables, leverage, profitability, sales growth and audit committees do not affect the tax avoidance.

Abstract

The incidence of online game addiction in teenagers of Indonesia is increasing every year. This lead to the impact of teenager’s behavior. This study aims to determine online game addiction level of teenagers in SMPN 13 Padang. The design of this study uses the descriptive analyst. The sample in this study is the students of SMP N 13 Padang with the number of respondent who had online games experience is 88 teenagers by using stratified random sampling. The research instrument used is GASA (Game Addiction Scale Assessment). The results showed that the average online game addiction average score was 63,32 in intermediate level of addiction.  This means that the teenagers of SMPN 13 Padang need to be given an intervention to decrease their addiction level and prevent further negative effect for their productive life. It is suggested that mental nurses can collaborate with the school and the education office to conduct cognitive behavior therapy on an ongoing basis in an effort to prevent online game addiction.

Abstract

In general, entrepreneurs always maximize profits. One way to maximize profits by avoiding paying taxes. Tax avoidance is a means of exploiting legal loopholes so that employers do not pay tax or pay tax but are very small. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of profitability, size, leverage, audit committee, independent commissioners and company age on tax avoidance. This type of research is quantitative research. The sampling method uses a purposive sampling method, so as many as 30 property and real estate companies are listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) in 2016-2018. The data used in this research is secondary data. Data analysis method used is multiple regression analysis. The result of this study indicate that the variable profitability, audit committee, independent commissioner has no effect on tax avoidance. While the variable size, leverage, and age of the company affect the tax avoidance.
