Abstract

Bullying is an aggressive behavior carried out intentionally and repeatedly, causing the victim to feel hurt and oppressed. This phenomenon is still prevalent among Indonesian adolescents, including in Islamic boarding schools, which are supposed to be centers for instilling Islamic values. This study aimed to describe the level of knowledge about bullying among female students at Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Pondok Pesantren Islam Al-Mukmin Ngruki Sukoharjo. The research utilized a descriptive quantitative method, targeting female students in grade XI. A total of 129 respondents were involved using total sampling, and data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed descriptively. The results revealed that most female students had a good level of knowledge. Based on majors, the highest knowledge level was found among students in religious studies (98.3%), while based on region, students from outside Solo dominated the good category (97.1%). Raising awareness about bullying can be done through early education that includes its definition, types, effects, and ways to prevent it. These findings can also serve as baseline data for comparing bullying levels among male and female adolescent.

Abstract

Waste management has become a pressing environmental issue in Banjarbaru City, with increased waste generation due to population growth and economic activities. This study aims to provide a comprehensive picture of waste generation, composition, and community behavior in waste management. The research method was quantitative, with sampling based on the SNI 19-3964-1994 standard. Primary data was collected through a survey of 112 households and questionnaire-based interviews. Analysis was conducted using the chi-square test to identify the relationship between behavioral variables and waste generation. The results showed that the average daily waste generation reached 4.91 kg for wet and 2.80 kg for dry waste. Wet waste is dominated by organic waste, while dry waste comprises plastic and paper. An analysis of community behavior shows that only 20% of respondents actively separate organic and inorganic waste. Implementing programs such as waste banks helps reduce the burden on landfills, but infrastructure and community awareness challenges remain. Statistically, no significant relationship was found between community behavior in waste handling/management at the household level and the amount of waste generated, with p-values ranging from 0.099 to 1.000 (=5%). The conclusion of this study highlights the importance of collaboration between government, community, and technology to create effective and sustainable waste management

Abstract

Data dikumpulkan melalui pencarian jurnal dengan kata kunci seperti “Pencegahan Infeksi Nosokomial,” AND “Pengendalian Infeksi di Rumah Sakit,” OR “Kepatuhan Kebersihan Tangan.”

Abstract

Effective management is essential for health centers to ensure that standards for health services are met through proper planning, implementation, supervision, and evaluation. One method of assessing the quality of services at Community Health Centers is through the health centers Performance Assessment, which evaluates aspects such as activity coverage, quality, and management. Given the pivotal role of management in enhancing the quality of health services, the implementation of health centers management practices is critical. This study explores the obstacles to effective health centers management within Tabalong District. A qualitative research approach was employed, utilizing a case study methodology. Data were gathered via in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), observations, and documentation, involving 15 informants from both the health Office and health centers in the region. Despite efforts to adhere to Minister of Health Regulations No. 6/2016 and No. 19/2020, challenges remain, including non-functional SMD MMDs and mini-workshops that do not comply with established guidelines. Additional constraints comprise limited human resources, budgetary restrictions, incomplete standard operating procedures (SOPs), and fragmented information systems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence crew members' use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at Trisakti Port, Banjarmasin. The method used is quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach involving 107 crew members selected using the Slovin formula and proportional random sampling technique. The data was collected through questionnaires tested for validity and reliability and observation sheets. Data analysis used Fisher's Exact Test and logistic regression to determine the dominant factors influencing compliance with PPE. The results showed that leadership supervision, company policies, and self-efficacy significantly affected the behavior of using PPE, with leadership supervision being the most dominant factor. Crew members routinely supervised were 102.8 times more likely to comply with PPE than those not supervised. In addition, clear policies and high self-efficacy also played an essential role in increasing compliance. Although the perception of obstacles did not have a significant effect, PPE's comfort and suitability factors still need to be considered. This study suggests that companies strengthen supervision, implement consistent policies, and increase crew independence through ongoing training to create a safe and productive work environment.

Abstract

The use of pesticides by spraying can cause health problems such as pesticide poisoning, respiratory system problems which can affect lung capacity and can cause death if help is not given immediately. This study aims to determine the factors that influence lung capacity disorders in pesticide-using vegetable farmers in Kanreapia Village, Gowa Regency, Indonesia. The type of research used is quantitative with an analytical approach and uses a cross sectional study design. The population in this study was 216 farmers so that the sample size in this study was 83 farmers. The instruments used in this research were questionnaires and spirometry. The results of this study show that there is a relationship between spraying method p-value 0.003 and lung capacity, while age p-value 0.484, working duration p-value 0.117, working period p-value 0.959 and use of personal protective equipment p-value 0.367 have an insignificant relationship with lung capacity. Working period is the variable that has the greatest influence on lung capacity. It is recommended that farmer group leaders directly monitor work in the field regarding pesticide spraying carried out by farmer group members which could endanger them due to the risk of exposure to pesticides.
