Abstract

The log-linear model is a special model of the general linear model of Poisson distributed data, and also the development of cross-tabulation analysis of two or more categorical variables. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship or interaction between the variables of maternal age, parity, and preterm birth. This study uses medical record data at the Haji General Hospital in East Java Province, namely patient data for pregnant women who gave birth between January 1st 2020 to 31st December 2021. The number of samples was 147 respondents. The data analysis method used is log-linear regression analysis. The log-linear model is used as an alternative solution to show if there is a relationship between several variables in a multidimensional contingency table, with the ability to modify the interaction between two or more variables. The resulting log-linear model is: log μijk = 4.083 − 0.693 (X) − 0.638 (Y) − 3.795 (Z) + 2.143 (YZ). The resulting model states that there is no simultaneous interaction between preterm birth, maternal age, and parity, but there is a partial interaction between maternal age and parity where preterm birth is significant in the model (YZ, X).

This research uses non-experimental quantitative descriptive. The number of respondents was 87 executive nurses in the inpatient ward at Ratu Zalecha Hospital, Martapura, selected using a cluster random sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires and observing directly on the CPPT sheet. The research results show that the p value = 0.000, which means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a relationship between nurse knowledge and completeness of integrated patient progress record documentation (CPPT) at Ratu Zalecha Hospital, Martapura.

Abstract

COVID-19 is a disease caused by the coronavirus. The COVID-19 pandemic poses a threat to all individuals, including pregnant women. It is essential for pregnant women to possess comprehensive knowledge about COVID-19 and to implement preventive measures to mitigate the risk of exposure to this disease. This study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge about COVID-19 and COVID-19 preventive behaviors among pregnant women at PMB Lasmitasari, S.ST in 2020. The study population comprised all pregnant women who underwent pregnancy check-ups (antenatal visits) at PMB Lasmitasari, S.ST in July 2020, totaling 172 people. The sample comprised of 60 pregnant women who underwent pregnancy check-ups at PMB Lasmitasari, S.ST during the same period. The sampling technique employed was accidental sampling, and data collection was conducted via a questionnaire. The findings revealed that the majority of pregnant women exhibited a poor knowledge about COVID-19, with less than 25 people (41.7%) exhibiting adequate knowledge. Furthermore, the highest proportion of pregnant women engaging in COVID-19 preventive behaviors numbered less than 33 people (55.0%). Importantly, a significant relationship was observed between knowledge about COVID-19 and COVID-19 preventive behaviors among pregnant women at PMB Lasmitasari, S.ST (p = 0.000). Consequently, it is recommended that healthcare professionals intensify health promotion initiatives concerning COVID-19 within the broader community, with a specific focus on pregnant women, leveraging electronic media, mass communication channels, and social media platforms.

Abstract

Nurses working in hospital settings face a heightened susceptibility to work-related accidents, which primarily stem from two underlying factors: unsafe behaviour and hazardous conditions. Work accident data at Dr Tadjuddin Chalid, there are 12 reported cases of work accidents in 2021. The objective of this study was to establish the correlation between unsafe actions, unsafe conditions, and the frequency of work accidents among nurses at Dr Tadjuddin Chalid Makassar Hospital. The research methodology employed for this investigation was observational, adopting a cross-sectional approach. The targeted population encompassed 205 individuals, with a final sample size of 136 nurses being involved in this research endeavour. The sample is taken using a simple random sampling method. Respondent data collection using a questionnaire. Data analysis used the chi-square test to see the relationship between independent variables, namely unsafe actions (perceptions, work experience, work stress, work shifts and supervision) and unsafe conditions (work environment, tools/materials and dangerous unsafe environment) with the occurrence of work accidents. The findings indicated a notable correlation between unsafe behaviour and work accidents (p-value = 0.001), alongside a significant relationship between unsafe conditions and work accidents (p-value = 0.007). In summation, it can be concluded that both unsafe behaviour and unsafe conditions are connected to the incidence of work accidents at Dr. Tadjuddin Chalid Makassar Hospital. It is recommended that the hospital emphasizes enhancing the work environment's conditions and elevating the quality of training and supervision. These measures are essential for mitigating the prevalence of work accidents among nurses.

Abstract

The Harmonized Test Score (HTS) results indicate that Indonesian children's academic performance is very low, scoring 394, well below the normal score of 625. Grade XI students' skills are similar to those of grade VI students. Eating habits, lifestyle, and physical activity significantly impact adolescent development. A total of 98 students from Health Vocational High School Annisa, Citereup, Bogor participated in this study with the purpose of investigating the relationship between fast food consumption, breakfast habits, and physical activity with academic achievement. Results showed 78. 6% had good academic achievement, 53. 1% frequently consumed fast food, 60. 2% had good breakfast habits, and 71. 4% were physically active. A significant connection was found between breakfast habits and academic achievement (p=0. 037), while fast food consumption (p=0. 418) and physical activity (p=0. 785) showed no significant relationship. Schools should educate about the importance of breakfast and the dangers of fast food and provide healthy canteen options to prevent students from buying fast food when they miss breakfast or lunch.
