Abstract

Code-Mixing Javanese Language of Banyumasan in Indonesian Language Learning at Vocational High School. This research will describe: (1) the form of code mixing, and (2) the factor that causing of code mixing that occur in the process of Indonesian learning class. Data and data sources in this research are a written data about speech that appear in a process of Indonesian language learning. Validity data technique is use triangulation of data source and informant review. Data analysis used intralingual method. The results of this study found the use of code mixing in Indonesian learning class in The Country Vocational High School of Banyumas. The form of code mixing that found are namely: (1) word insertion, (2) phrase insertion, (3) clause insertion, (4) the word repetition, and (5) idiom. The factor that causing of code mixing are: (1) changing situation, (2) want to explain something, and (3) establishing intimacy between teacher and student.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengulas tentang pilihan kosakata dalam nilai ekspriensial yang dilakukan guru perempuan Bugis dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di kelas. Dalam kajian tersebut, tuturan guru dalam mengajar dipandang sebagai interaksi verbal yang menjadi muara terhadap terciptanya praktik kekuasan. Praktik-praktik kekuasaan itu ditelusuri melalui pilihan kosakata yang terlihat dalam nilai ekspriensial. Model analisis wacana yang digunakan adalah model Norman Fariclough pada wilayah teks, yakni kosakata. Pilihan kosakata dilihat dari nilai ekspriensial ditemukan penggunaan kosakata yang berefek meyakinkan, pendominasian, dan pengontrolan. Hasil analisisnya ditemukan bahwa perlawanan guru perempuan Bugis dalam wacana kelas merupakan bentuk ketidakpuasan atas tradisi patriarki yang berlaku dalam masyarakat.

Abstract

Character’s Value Of Rerponsibilities from Subagio Sastrowardoyo Poems. The purpose of this study is to describe the value of responsibility character building of poems by Subagio Sastrowardoyo. This research includes descriptive qualitative research type with content analysis. Sources of data in this study book collection of Simfoni Dua by Subagio Sastrowardoyo. Techniques of collecting data using library techniques, refer method, and record. Data analysis technique uses interaction technique with stilistika approach. Based on the results of research that has been done, it is  found that the value of responsibility character building are implicit in the words, phrases, and sentences, ncluding spiritual responsibility to God, social responsibility to fellow human beings, and personal responsibility to yourself. The value of responsibility character building that is contained in the poems of Subagio Sastrowardoyo is relevant to literary learning which includes the competence of knowledge and skills of appreciating and writing poetry.

Abstract

This research aims at describing Asmat tradition in romance Namaku Teweraut (NT) written by Ani Sekarningsih. The study was designed with a literary anthropological approach. Data comes from Roman NT. Data collection is done through a note-taking method. Based on the result of the analysis, it is concluded that romance NT contains following traditions: matchmaking, dowry payment, and giving birth. These traditions tend to be gender bias. It can be seen from wife position in a family. A wife is always in weak, margin, and threat position. Romance NT contains patriarchal conservatism culture that becomes the root of practical life of gender bias stereotype to the women in Asmat society.

Abstract

Instructional Material Result in Writing a Procedure Text Based on Kitab “Safinatun Najah” in Pesantren. The research and development of this instructional material results in a product in the form of a procedure text module based on Safinatun Najah. This research and development model used the 4D model which is modified into define, design, and develop. The development of this instructional material was based on the 2013 Curriculum through the scientific approach. The result categorizes the module as a highly appropriate module with an average validity score of 91,7%. The implementation of the instructional material was conducted in two meetings. The results of the study obtained practical score of 95% and 98%. The response’s result toward the module obtained an average score of 89%. The result indicates that instructional material is appropriate to apply.

Abstract

Modality Sentence in Short Story Anthology Lukisan Kaligrafi By A. Mustofa Bisri. The aim of this research is to describe about modality sentence as a way to uncover A. Mustofa Bisri's style in short story anthology Lukisan Kaligrafi. This research uses descriptive qualitative research design. The results of this research are the types of modalities including intensional modality, epistemic modality, dynamic modality, and deontic modality. The functionality of modalities includes the function of changing the tone, expressing attitudes, and mood expression. Furthermore, modality as a learning alternative of short story text material for SMA class XI that focuses on characterizing short stories.

Abstract

Semantics Corruption Prototype: Cognitive Linguistic Study. Semantic Prototype Corruption: Cognitive Linguistics Review. This study aims to define corruption through prototype theory in cognitive linguistics. The research is designed through a qualitative-quantitative approach with Tomaszczyk (2007) prototype theory. The results of the study indicate that the most corrupt variables affecting the degree of corruption are (1) 'unlawful rewards' and (2) 'abuse of authority', while (3) 'knowing that it is corruption' and (4) 'corrupt intent' no effect. Based on the background of respondents there is no difference in the degree of degree of corruption.

Abstract

Children’s Vocabulary Production through Electronic Wordless Picture Story-book. This study aims to reveal the effectiveness of the use of electronic wordless picture storybook to improve the production of children's vocabulary. We compared a printed wordless story-book and an electronic wordless storybook. The quasi-experiment research with one group posttest design only was used in this study. The subjects were six teachers and 59 children aged 24-48 months. Samples were taken using a saturated sample technique in three early childhood educational institutions. The instrument used was an observation sheet. The data were then analyzed using the Mann Whitney Test. The result was an electronic wordless picture storybook more ef-effective to produce children's vocabulary.

Abstract

History, Cultural Elements, and the Value of Character Education in the Legenda Sungai Naga. The purpose of this study is to describe the history, elements of culture, and the value of character education on the Legenda Sungai Naga. Data collection through interviews, documentation, and observation. Data analysis technique used qualitative analysis of inductive model with purposive sampling technique. The results obtained that the name of the Dragon River taken based on the history of Gerdu figures that dispels the Dragon Snake that pass in the river. It found three elements of culture that is naming places, namely knowledge system, living equipment system and technology, and religious system. There are three values of character education that is the value of hard work character, religious character value, and value of environmental caring character.
