Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the balanced scorecard as an alternative tool for school management systems in the 21st century as it is today. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques carried out by literature review / literature study relating to the concept of balanced scorecard and school management. The results showed that the concept of balanced scorecard is not only used for work measurement systems, but also used as a management system. This Balanced Scorecard can be used for the development of measurement systems as well as a means, which essentially involves the management system, especially strategic management. The balanced scorecard is a management tool that translates the organization's vision, mission and strategy into a comprehensive set of performance measurements to produce an organizational performance measurement framework through several perspectives: financial, customer, internal business processes, and learning and growth.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a direct positive effect from Principal’s academic supervision and interpersonal communication on teacher's performance. Total of 59 teachers were chosen as research samples to obtain data and analyzed using quantitative methods of path analysis. The results showed that there is a direct positive effect (1) academic supervision on teacher performance, (2) interpersonal communication on teacher's performance, (3) academic supervision on interpersonal communication is positive direct effect.

Abstract

The research is behind the issue of policy change implementation of field experience practice of faculty Tarbiyah from 2 months to 4 months with the reason first, the student is less gaining knowledge and experience, secondly, the time of doing PPL on In January to March to coincide with the national exam, third, relating to the allocation of honors for teacher teachers that were calculated according to the number of students he was tutored, and fourth, with the change of the policy of PPL 4 months that effect on Completion of student thesis. The purpose of the research is to know the perception of the stake holder against PPL IAIN Curup and to know a formulation of PPL majors Tarbiyah IAIN Curup. The research method used is qualitative research using an analysis-descriptive approach.  This study saw the implementation of PPL faculty Tarbiyah because the policy changes from 2 months to 4 months. The results showed the school's perception of PPL for paedagogic competence is still lacking, especially in classroom management, RPP manufacturing, and the development of learning evaluation tools. For personal competence is still low on student discipline and managing emotions, while for social competence most students impress their exclusive neighbors.

Abstract

In the era of information technology-based 4.0, all fields use information technology, as well as in the world of education. In learning, the use and use of information technology is very important in supporting the smooth teaching and learning process. So that the ability of teachers in information technology literacy is very important and needs to be developed. This study aims to describe the level of information technology literacy of mathematics teachers in private vocational schools in South Jakarta and identify the factors that influence it. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. The research sample was 41 mathematics teachers at private vocational schools in South Jakarta, who were taken by purposive sampling technique. Information techniques through questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that the level of information technology literacy for mathematics teachers in private vocational schools in South Jakarta was still low. One of the factors affecting literacy is the lack of training in the use of information.

Abstract

This research describe about the leadership of the head madrasah in improving quality of education and performance teacher at MAN 1. This kind of research is field reseach, with the design, case study. The data collection techniques through interviews, observation the questionnaire, and documentation of. As for the analysis of data used in the qualitative study conducted in an interactive and place in a continuous, to completion so that the data is saturated.Activity in, data analysis namely the reduction of, data , presentation of data the withdrawal of conclusions and verification. The research results have to conclude:  first an increase in professionalism teacher through direct strategy as the embodiment of a device for teachers, learning efforts to improve the performance of teachers and the evaluation of the learning process as well as training teachers; while coaching professionalism teacher indirectly such as include teacher in various seminars and training, a higher level of magister, including the gfc and mgmp.Both, the development of infrastructures, between pemavingan madrasah, another page the construction of a new building, and renovation of the old building, the manufacture of the fence madrasah, the construction of a mosque and madrasah, and improving the infrastructure of the multi media. Through the effort is expected to the learning process runs smoothly and potential on students. well developed. Meanwhile in the performance of teachers, peneingkatan islamic school head teacher always improve commitment in achieving discipline, motivate teachers work in intense, and the head madrasah be an example.

Abstract

The failure of academic supervision in various areas is more dominant due to inappropriate scheduling. In addition, the awareness of the importance of implementing academic supervision is also an inhibiting factor in the implementation of supervision. The era of media technology is a challenge for educational institutions from elementary to high levels. The problems that arise are related to the habit of teaching and learning processes based on communication technology. An interesting phenomenon is that Central Java ranks third in having the most madrasas in Indonesia. So it is necessary to know the mechanism for the implementation and evaluation of academic supervision. The challenge of providing supervision in the era of communication technology is seen from three points of view, namely intensity, quality, degree of relevance associated with teacher performance in madrasah. The research method used is mixed research by relying on the strength of the description that comes from the informant. And also involve respondents to explore quantitative data. The informants involved were 5 school principals and supervisors. Meanwhile, there are 190 madrasah teachers in Central Java. Data obtained from interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis used the Milles and Huberman pattern. The results of this study explain that the intensity, quality and degree of relevance of educational supervision are in the average category. This condition is able to improve the performance of madrasah teachers in Central Java. The teachers support online supervision and the method preferences tend to be CCTV, virtual and fingerprint.

Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic has an impact on the difficulty of school principals in carrying out academic supervision in their institutions in order to ensure the continuity of the quality of education in Kindergarten institutions. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of academic supervision of kindergarten school principals in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic. This study used a qualitative method with explorative case studies. The study was conducted at the Samba Taruma Kindergarten in Bekasi Regency in 2019/2020. Sampling uses purposive sampling. Respondents used as research samples are the principal and 3 teachers. Data collection uses semi-structured interviews by making a list of questions. Data analysis uses thematic data analysis. The results showed the implementation of academic supervision amid the Covid 19 pandemic by the Head of the Samba Taruma Kindergarten was going well. This can be seen from the supervision process in the form of online daily discussions, assisting teachers to overcome problems, inventory the basic competency achievements, and provide feedback on evaluating the successful learning process.

Abstract

Improving the quality of educational institution requires adequate competence from a school principal to develop of school he leads, to help improve the professionalism of the principal, the government appoints an education supervisor whose job is to carry out managerial supervision. This research aims to reinforce the impact of spectrums of educational supervision in coaching and development for school principals. The present study adopted a quantitative approach through surveys. The population in this study were all school principals in Bandung, whereas the sample was a member of the population taken through a saturation sampling technique of 39 people. Assessed through multiple linear regression analysis, the current research also examined primary sources of data collected through fulfilling the interviews and questionnaires covering three spectrums of surveillance activities (aspects of inspection, control, supervision) as well as coaching and development for school principals. The results of analysis demonstrated that Fcount is 51.7 with a significance level of 0.000 ≤ 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that the managerial supervision carried out by supervisors with inspection, control and supervision delivers a positive and significant impact in the coaching and development activities of school principals. This report presented the findings of research that supervisory must be proportionate, planned, directed and sustainable.

Abstract

The transition of the learning system from offline to online raises new problems at the teacher, the learning process is not optimal, and the process of understanding teachers who do not understand IT. The principal as the school manager must be wise and decisive in analysing issues of education management strategies in school management practices. This study aims to analyse the role of madrasa principal in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic risk management perspective in MTs N 1 Yogyakarta City. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collected through in-depth interviews and observation. The results showed that the principal of MTs N 1 Yogyakarta City as the Risk Manager had carried out three stages of risk management, first (1) risk assessment to identify online learning problems during the Covid-19 pandemic, (2) risk mitigation, to ease the burden on teachers and students in the learning process through the policy of providing internet quota subsidies for teachers and students who are unable and do not assign too many assignments to students, and (3) risk evaluation, to see the problems of the online learning process through reports or complaints from both teachers and students. The role of the madrasa head as a Risk Manager must be to minimize, even eliminate the risk or adverse effects of the learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. Online learning policies, giving quota subsidies, and reducing school work as a form of action to reduce the risk of being stricken with Covid-19 and alleviate psychological burdens, especially for students.

Abstract

The existence of a superior class in madrasah is an institution that is specifically designed and developed systematically, adequate facilities / infrastructure, curriculum, qualified teaching and education staff, and so on. The existence of a superior class can increase the competitiveness of madrasas and the bargaining position of madrasas as superior madrasas will be even stronger. To increase the competitiveness of these madrasas as superior madrasas, it is necessary to properly manage quality learning. This article discusses planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating and the implications of quality learning in superior classes at MTsN 2 Bandar Lampung and at MTsN 2 Tanggamus. This research is a field research, using a qualitative approach with a multisite study design. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. descriptive data analysis techniques with the Analysis Interactive Model. The results of the study, learning in superior classes at MTsN 2 Model Bandar Lampung and MTsN Model Talang Padang are designed through planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating middle input through superior processes based on the spirit of spiritual learning that can strengthen the learning system. The implications of managing quality learning in superior classes at MTsN 2 Bandar Lampung and at MTsN 2 Tanggamus are: The establishment of an integrated learning system and the establishment of teacher standardization.
