Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the creativity development of children 5-6 years old with herbarium activities in PAUD Kasih Ibu I Luar Parit. The creativity development activities in the field use dry leaf collage activities and serveral other activities such as drawing coloring, and forming fruits from plasticine. But the work produced is almost exactly the same as the teacher’s example. Through this herbarium activity researhers want to see the creativity development of children 5-6 years. Quantitative reasearch with experimental methods in the form of quasi experimental is a method in this study. All children in PAUD Kasih Ibu I Luar Parit totaling 34. Group B1 experimental sample and B2 control sample with 12 children each class. Purposive sampling. As for the technique of collecting data using deed test and oral test.statement instrumen grid is used as a data collection tool. The results of the average experimental 77,77 and the control 70,83. So the use of herbarium activities had a significant effect on the development of creativity of children 5-6 years old at the PAUD Kasih Ibu I Luar Parit academic years 2018/2019.

Abstract

Enhancing Early Childhood Ability to Know the Concept of Numbers through Using of Learning Media Based on Nature. The purpose of this study is to improve the ability of children to understand the concept of numbers through using of learning media based on nature.  The type of research conducted is Classroom Action Research with data collection techniques in the form of observations and performance and then analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. This research was conducted in two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. In the first cycle the percentage of student performance achieved 30% of the percentage before use the cycle, in this cycle students who managed to achieve the Minimum Completeness Criteria drove 11 people who had not succeeded in achieving a large of minimum completeness criteria students could participate in learning activities well and encourage very active when using media. So the research continued the second cycle in cycle II, the percentage reached 45% and all students who succeeded in reaching 20 people managed to reach the minimum completeness criteria while the observations showed that students were very interested in learning to use the prepared media. From the results of the implementation of the first cycle and the second cycle the increase in the percentage of student learning completeness reached 75% of the percentage before cycle use. Thus, it can be denied that the learning media based on nature can improve the ability of children to understand the concept of numbers to support learning activities in early childhood can use media that are either natural media or media that have been supportive in order to produce learning that is conducive to children's abilities.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the relationship between a child who is cared for in a Child Care Center and a caregiver. This study used a qualitative approach with phenomenological research methods with the subjects of the study as many as 2 caregivers in the Yasmin Jember Daycare and 6 children who were cared for with criteria for pure daycare for children and school landfill children. Child Care Center is a form of Early Childhood Education institution that functions to be a substitute carer for families with learning programs that place more emphasis on children's life skills according to the age stage. As a family substitute institution in parenting, it is common practice to form a pattern of attachment to the relationship between a child and a caregiver. Caregivers act as a substitute for parents having duties and functions to stimulate aspects of child development. In a relationship like this there is a form of acceptance or rejection that affects the closeness of the child to the caregiver.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal the influence of storytelling method toward the ability of revealed language the of Child Aged 5-6 Years Old at Pertiwi 1 Banjarsari. This research uses quantitative approach by using experiment method; the research design uses Pre-Experimental design (nondesign) which includes pre-test and pos-test. Subject of this research is a child aged 5-6 years old in Pertiwi 1 Banjarsari Kindergarten about 19 students. Data collecting technique through the observation and documentation. Data analysis technique the inferensial statistics by using t data experiment analysis (T-Test). The result of data analysis is acquired value r = 0,68,  wich are -2,450  -11,66, thus is accepted wich means there is significanct influence between Sorytelling Method to child’s revealed language ability.

Abstract

Brain exercise has many benefits, especially to balance the child’s brain and left, though brain gym activities can foster the spirit of learning children. This study describe brain gym activities carried out in the primagama padang creative kindergarden playgroup. This study uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are observation, interview and documentation, while the data analysis technique is data triangulation technique. The results of research in the primagama padang creative kindergarden playgroup that brain gym activities have been carried out well, seen from semester planning, weekly and daily planning and evaluations carries out in every brain gymnastic activity. The implementation of brain gym activities provides many benefits to children.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the improve cognitive development through cooperative learning methods type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) with beam media and geometric shapes of group A children at Pertiwi IV Kindergarten Lamongan. The research design used adopted a spiral model from the opinion of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart consist of four phase, planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research consists of two cycles, each cycle consisting of 3 meetings / actions. Data analysis uses quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data analysis with descriptive statistics is to compare the results obtained from the first cycle and the second cycle. While the analysis of qualitative data by analyzing data from the results of field notes and interviews during the research with the steps of data reduction, data display and data verification. The results showed an increase in cognitive development in the ability to classify colors and geometric shapes through the TGT learning model with beam media, it can be proved that the average score of pre-cycle cognitive development scores was 34.38%. Then experienced an increase in the first cycle of 14.76% to 49.14%. Furthermore, from cycle I to cycle II cognitive development of children increased by 2.93% from 49.14% to 52.07%. So that the total increase in children's cognitive development starts from the pre-cycle, the first cycle to the second cycle is 34.38% which is 49.14% to 52.07%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is how to increase creativity through fun cooking in group A RA Az Zahra Kebayoran Baru South Jakarta. This study was carried out in 4-5 years old group A children of 16 children. This research is an action research with Kemmis and Taggart model which consists of 4 stages namely (plan, action, observation and reflection). This study consisted of 2 cycles, with each cycle as many as 8 meetings. Data collection techniques are using observation, field notes, and documentation. Data analysis uses quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative data analysis is carried out with statistical descriptions to compare pre cycles to cycles II. The stages of qualitative analysis are data reduction, data display and verification. The results showed that there was an increase in creativity through the method of fun cooking. The results of the study in cycle I, and cycle II, the results of which increased significantly from before the action only 37.5% of the number of children in the class increased to 81% in cycle 2. The average value of the percentage in the pre-action was 33.20%; cycle 1 is 59.76% and cycle 2 is 84.375%. The increase from cycle 1 to cycle 2 reached 24.615%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the learning strategies management in forming the 9 Pillars of character in the MILAS Playgroup Yogyakarta. The subjects of this study were the principal and educators. Data collection has done by observation and interview methods. After that, the data validity test was carrying out by means of triangulation. Then the data analysis technique has done by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions or verification. The results showed that the 9 pillars of character through the learning strategies management learning strategies departing from vision and mission to evaluation. The learning strategies applied to create the 9 pillars of character in the MILAS playgroup are: (1) Love of God and the universe and its contents, (2) Responsibility, Discipline, and Independence, (3) Honesty, (4) Respect and Courtesy, (5) ) Compassion, Concern, and Cooperation, (6) Confidence, Creative, Hard Work, and Never Give Up, (7) Justice and Leadership, (8) Good and Humility, and (9) Tolerance, Peace Love, and Unity.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tulisan ini mendeskripsikan pendidikan karakter melalui pembelajaran di KB Dewi Sartika Desa Batu Mak Jage Kecamatan Tebas Kabupaten Sambas Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Berdasarkan penelitian yang penulis lakukan pendidikan karakter yang ditanamkan oleh guru berdasarkan sosial masyarakat dan kondisi lingkungan tempat tinggal siswa. Siswa yang ada di KB Dewi Sartika terdiri dari suku yaitu, Melayu dan Dayak. Penanaman nilai-nilai karakter oleh guru dilakukan melalui pembelajaran yang diberikan. Artikel ini ditulis secara deskriptif dan berangkat dari penelitian kualitatif yang penulis lakukan, berdasarkan pengamatan dan wawancara yang dilakukan kepada guru di KB Dewi Sartika Desa Batu Mak Jage.Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Karakter, KB Dewi Sartika Abstract: This paper describers character through learning at KB Dewi Sartika Batu Mak Jage Village, Tebas district, Sambas regency, west Kalimantan province. Based on research that the authors did, character education that was instilled by the teacher was based on the community’s social and environmental condition where the students lived. Student in KB Dewi Sartika consisof tribes namely, Malay and Dayak. Planting character values vy the teacher is done through learning that is given. Abstract

Multiple intelligences must be optimally stimulated. Its development will be very good for the development of early childhood abilities. This research will discuss the effectiveness of the use of picture books on preschool children's visual intelligence. The research aims to look for the effectiveness of the use of picture books on children's visual intelligence aged of 4-5 years. This study used quasi-experiment method. The subjects were children of TK-KB ABA Pringwulung, Yogyakarta. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling, including two groups, A1 as the experimental group and A2 as the control group. The subjects used in this study examined 40 children. The data analysis technique used a t-test using the SPSS for Windows version 16 computer program to see children's visual intelligence between the two cohorts. The results indicated that there was a significant impact on children's visual intelligence through the use of picture book media in group A at TK-KB ABA Pringwulung Yogyakarta. It can be used by parents, educators, and educational practitioners so as to build an appropriate strategy in developing early childhood visual intelligence.
