Abstract

The number of cases of mental health disorders in Indonesia has increased every year, and dominated by women. This phenomenon needs more attention from various parties, including related aspects that can affect a person’s mental health condition, such as religiosity. This study aims to analyze the relationship between religiosity and mental health in early adult women who have early childhood. This research is a descriptive quantitative research. Data was collected using two questionnaires. The mental health questionnaire is a modification of the Mental Health Inventory (MHI-38) while the religiosity questionnaire was developed based on the theory and dimensions of religiosity from Glock and Stark. The subjects in this study were 49 early adult women who have early childhood. Data analysis was carried out by testing assumptions and hypotheses. Testing the validity of data was carried out by testing validity and reliability. The results concluded that there was a significant and positive relationship between religiosity and mental health. When a woman in her early adulthood and having early childhood has a good level of religiosity, she will have good mental health as well, and vice versa. This illustrates that individual efforts in maintaining religiosity can help maintain their mental health.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the underlying values, forms, and implications of the cultural adaptation strategies of the Bali Hindu community within the multicultural society in Patoman, Banyuwangi. The research was conducted qualitatively with an ethnographic approach based on the theory of cultural adaptation and social harmony. This study finds that the values that underlie the cultural adaptation strategy of the Bali Hindu community within the multicultural society in Patoman include Tri Hita Karana, Tat Tvam Asi, Manyama Braya, and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Forms of cultural adaptation strategy include strengthening socio-cultural and religious identities internally and developing external consolidation by mediating seven universal categories of culture in their social interactions. The implications of the cultural adaptation strategy include the formation of a “Bali Patoman Village” with a distinctive cultural and religious identity, the maintenance of social harmony in a pluralistic society, and the affirmation of a multicultural society structure marked by the coronation of Patoman Village as a “Kampung Pancasila”.

Abstract

This article traces the correlation of Genta Uter in yadnya ceremonies using a science-technology perspective. The news of Genta Uter or singing bowl through the phenomenon of the 'rain handler' of Moto GP Mandalika made Genta Uter increasingly popular, not only among the Hindu community. Genta Uter, as one of the means of ceremonies, has been carried out for a long time and has become a mandatory and traditional standard. The use of Genta Uter certainly has a variety of religious meanings in addition to being a legacy of tradition, which can positively impact the environment. Using the Matlab application, they discovered a rational justification for using Genta Uter as a tool for Hindu yadnya ceremonies through a quantitative descriptive approach with experimental test methods based on Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). Genta Uter's voice is positioned as a positive voice with positive energy that can be compared to Western Classical Music such as Mozart and Beethoven, thanks to the acquisition of Genta Uter's sound in various sizes and durations. The Genta Uter sound, which has the qualities of a joyous sound and positive energy, makes it a sound that can promote calm and relaxation, which can promote health in living things so that it can spread positive vibrations throughout the surrounding area.

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the concept of love in Christian theology as a basis for strengthening ukhuwah al-insaniyyah. The sociological and psychological situation of the Indonesian people has recently become increasingly worrying for the life of the nation and state. The phenomenon of mutual distrust among people, fear between groups, conservative truncation in the form of extremism, including disbelieving each other, and not respecting other people's cultures and beliefs is so difficult to contain. Based on library research, this research uses a descriptive method. The result is that verses about love are found in the Bible as much as 6.64% of the total 31,171 Bible verses. That is, love for Christians is a core part of the teachings of Christian theology. Love, as has been mentioned many times in the Bible, involves a fairly deep spiritual experience, involving the innermost voice of the heart in the form of noble morality praxis which is manifested in the behavior of everyday life.

Abstract

In Bali, the Village Credit Institution (LPD) has emerged as a noteworthy microfinance institution, characterized by its unique ownership structure tied to traditional village institutions. This institution's legitimacy is anchored in Governor of Bali Decree Number 3 of 2017, bolstered by the implementing regulations outlined in Governor of Bali Regulation No. 44 of 2017. The primary objective of this study is to investigate the impact of the Tri Hita Karana culture on the financial performance of Village Credit Institutions (LPDs) in Badung Regency. The Tri Hita Karana culture is assessed using subvariables encompassing Parahyangan, Pawongan, and Palemahan elements. The financial performance of LPDs is gauged using the Return On Asset (ROA) ratio. Data collection was conducted through cross-sectional surveys employing a Likert scale, with the Village Credit Institutions (LPDs) in Badung Regency as the unit of analysis. The study involved 55 respondents, specifically the heads of LPDs, selected using Proportional Random Sampling. Path analysis was employed as the method for hypothesis testing. The findings of this research underscore the positive and statistically significant influence of the Tri Hita Karana culture, encompassing its subvariables of Parahyangan, Pawongan, and Palemahan, on the financial performance of Village Credit Institutions (LPDs) in Badung Regency. As a result, it is strongly recommended that LPD leadership actively promotes and integrates the Tri Hita Karana culture into their operations, serving as a guiding principle for LPD managers. This cultural emphasis is poised to enhance the overall financial performance of LPDs, thus fostering sustainable development and empowerment within the local community.
