Abstract

The hill of the Kintamani area with its misty natural conditions and cold nature makes it unique interms of religion and society, in contrast to the plains that are dominated by Hindu influence andclose to the aristocratic system. In the western part of Kintamani, there is Selulung Traditionalvillage which is still strong with a dualistic world view regarding its beliefs, socio-religions, andrituals. Belief in ancestors with the existence of Pura Kanginan-Kauhan, Palinggih Rong Kalih,Palinggih Dewa Hyang Kembar. A dualistic socio-religious system exists in the village eldercouncil called Ulu Apad which is divided into two, namely kiwa-tengen, sigar kanginan-sigarkauhan. Apart from that, there are also social rituals that are dualistic, such as the nyeheb rite, a riteasking for rain to the gods of the sky. This signifies a dualistic relationship between earth-heaven.

Abstract

Conflict between religious communities is a sensitive matter that often occurs. This is due to truth claims about various practices that tend to be different from the teachings of the religion adhered to. Indonesia as a country that embraces pluralism does not escape the turmoil of religious conflicts that characterize the life of the nation, so that it has an impact on the loss of tolerance between people and tends to bring up radical principles and coercion of one belief. To produce valid and reliable data, this paper uses a qualitative writing style. In producing logical data, this paper performs several stages of data sorting in the form of: 1). Data reduction, 2). Display data, 3). Verifying data, and 4). Interpret research data. In its presentation, measurable analysis becomes the foundation in processing the data obtained. The perfection of this paper cannot be separated from the library technique carried out by exploring the existing literature in Google Scholar. Truth claims that are too radical tend to foster a sense of intolerance in a nation, this situation will be used by terrorist elements to build a division of the state through religious cloaks. This situation became the center of attention of the Indonesian government so that a program called "the house of religious moderation" was conceptualized to rebuild the dignity of tolerance between religious communities. The legalization of houses of religious moderation begins through educational institutions which in fact are neutral institutions in a country. It is hoped that intellectuals born in educational institutions will be able to provide a concrete understanding of the importance of maintaining tolerance through the values of Pancasila and religious values that are relevant to the situation and stability of the country.

Character values in Hinduism contain many lessons about ethics, morals and manners.  The educational system could be found, for example, in the Adiparwa text, which is a part of the Mahabharata that tells about the birth of The Garuda, how he saved his mother from slavery and eventually became Lord Vishnu's mount.  In this Adiparwa, there is an interesting part of The Garuda's story.  Through this literature study, a narrative about the Garuda was obtained which was then made into a short story in the form of a synopsis.  Based on the research, the setting could be found in the story includes time and places where the story took place.  By this literature search, the characters of and in The Garuda story could also be formulated.  Based on the writing, five characters of education are found, which are reflected in the story that tells the students (The Kadru, The Winata, the dragons, The Garuda and Lord Vishnu). As for the character education in question, its botom lines are as follows: religious, honest, disciplined, hard working and responsible.

Abstract

Technological developments have made significant progress. One of them, namely the manufacture of computers designed to make it easier for humans to do their jobs. This advantage makes the role of humans reduced and displaced by the tools created by humans themselves. However, behind the sophistication of tools made by humans, stored the power of Ida Sang Yang Widi Wasa which is undetected and underappreciated. In fact, the manufacture of these tools turned out to be mirrored in the creation of Ida Sang Yang Widi Wasa, which was designed as if he wanted to emulate it. However, if explored and contemplated, Ida Sang Yang Widi Wasa's creation will not matched by the tools created by His own creation. Because nothing could match the creation of Ida Sang Yang Widi Wasa even though in the eyes of humans it is a monumental sophistication.
