Abstract

In today's era, technology is growing rapidly. People are very easy to access information through various media either directly or indirectly. Therefore, society as consumers is very selective in determining the products and services to be consumed. There are many factors behind consumers in product selection. Among them are in terms of idolatry, food safety and quality. Companies must be able to set standards in order to maintain consumer trust and loyalty. This study aims to find out the relationship between halal factors, food safety and quality in consumer buying decisions. The object of the study is the student. As a younger generation, students can show selective and conscientious attitude before choosing a product and also have control in determining the development of trends in the future. This study uses structural equation modeling (SEM) methods. The results of this study are that of the 4 hypotheses only 3 hypotheses are accepted. The accepted standard of a hypothesis is if the CR (Critical Ratio) value ≥1.967 and the value of P (Probability) ≤0.05. The three accepted hypotheses are first, the influence of halal on food security. Second, the effect of safety on quality. Third, the influence of quality on buying decisions. The rejected hypothesis that halal affects the quality does not meet the critical ratio standard of -1,993 so that the results are not significant.

Abstract

Railway is one of the popular modes of public transportation in Indonesia, but there are conditions where length of platform does not cover the entire length of the railway coach. This causes access in and out passengers must be added with tools such as staircase. The condition of staircase that is currently available is large and heavy, so to place the staircase right at the door of the railway coach takes a longer time. The initial survey conducted on 106 passengers obtained data 34% of respondents stated that the staircase currently available are less comfortable to use, in addition 32.1% of respondents stated that the available staircases are not adequate in terms of number and physical condition. Based on this background, the study aims to redesign the staircase that according to the needs of two user they are: train passengers and Indonesian Train Service Provider by using the multi-layer Quality Function Deployment. The result of this study shows that both users agree that the design of new stair design should consider anthropometry of passengers, safety features, easy to be move during use (portable and light weight).

Abstract

PT Wonojati Wijoyo is a company that produces furniture for export. In carrying out the production process, work accidents often occur. One of the causes is the factor of human negligence. Work accidents that have occurred include torn wounds due to being hit by a machine, legs hit by wood to make them swollen, fingers hit by machines to open wounds, fingers caught in blocks to open wounds. This study aims to determine the value of Human Error Probability (HEP) and recommend improvement strategies for activities that have the potential to cause human errors to minimize work accidents. The method used in the analysis of human error is the HEART method and the SHERPA method. The results showed that there are critical activities that have the potential for human error to occur, namely in 14 subtasks of 9 processes. The highest probability of human error is in the subtask of cutting wood plates using a circle machine with a HEP value of 0.88827 including the high category. While the lowest probability of human error is in the subtask of setting a copy machine with reference wood with a HEP value of 0.00372 including the medium category. One of the recommendations for improvement strategies to minimize work accidents is that the company needs to conduct training on K3 on a scheduled basis with an explanation of the risks that occur if you do not use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Abstract

Infrastructure development in an area, including the construction of toll roads, is aimed at developing a region and increasing the economy of the region. The construction of the toll road which is connected from Krian-Manyar-Gresik is carried out to facilitate traffic connecting the two cities. Traffic jams often occur at the link between the two cities. Congestion that occurs is usually caused by an increase in the volume of vehicles. Therefore, the construction of a toll road connecting the two cities is the best alternative. This research aimed to know government policies effectiveness in the construction of this toll road. The method used in this research is to use a dynamic system approach. From the results of the traffic simulation model design, it is found that the construction of toll roads is considered very influential and can be a way out of congestion problems. This is due to a decrease in the degree of saturation of congestion and although there is an increase from year to year, it is only slightly and not too significant. So the researchers suggest to continue the planned toll road construction project.

Abstract

Nickel is one of the resources that is often used by humans with its use increasing from each year. In order to increase nickel production, an integrated and optimum system is needed with carrying out the production and business processes in the one of Indonessian nickel company. To achieve the objectives, system integration between the demand for nickel products and the process of supplying raw materials urgently needed to support nickel processing. Therefore, this study aims to estimate the amount of raw materials and scheduling the availability of raw materials with applying the Material Requirement Planning. Furthermore, to find out the differences in the strategy of ordering raw materials in the system. Order fulfillment strategies (lot sizing) used are level, modified level, and dynamic lot sizing. The level strategy, as the initial strategy of the company, is a strategy that uses inventory as a support with labor made steady and demand is met from inventory. Modified level strategy are formulated to adjust level ordering in dynamic time. The dynamic lot sizing is a strategy of dynamic order quantity and dynamic time order. As for the analysis. The initial level strategy ,that simulate with several equations, shows some overstock and understock condition in the nickel production and material inventory. Its resulted in higher total cost and unfulfill nickel production. The formulation of modified level strategy and dynamic lot sizing can fulfill the material demand with lower total cost.
