Abstract

Firm value influences investor perceptions to support the company's sustainability. The study aimed to analyze the effect of financial performance and islamic social reporting on firm value and the role of the maqashid sharia index in moderating financial performance and islamic social reporting on the company value of Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia. The research method used is quantitative. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample of 6 Islamic Commercial Banks registered with the Financial Services Authority for 2017-2021. The data analysis method used in this study is SEM-PLS with the SmartPLS version 4.0.8.7 application. The results showed that the variables of financial performance and islamic social reporting had a significant effect on firm value. Then, the maqashid sharia index as a moderator variable cannot moderate the relationship between financial performance and islamic social reporting on firm value. Thus, the Maqashid sharia index is a moderator predictor because it can only independently influence the dependent variable.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to examine the development of waqf-based Islamic Microfinance Institutions research in the world. The method used in this study is meta-analysis using data sources from articles published in international journals. The results show that there has been an increase in the development of IMFI waqf-based research from year to year. Many studies related to waqf based IMFI have been carried out with several countries in the world as case studies. A country that has become a lot of case studies in research related to this theme is Malaysia. In addition, based on the methodological approach used, the dominance of research was carried out using a qualitative approach. The paper that is widely cited is "Banking for the poor: The role of Islamic banking in microfinance initiatives". In addition, the author who often conducts research related to IMFI-based waqf is Mohamed Asmy bin Mohd Thas Thaker. The results of the analysis show that the management of cash waqf carried out by Islamic microfinance institutions is a solution to the current economic problems of the people. The potential of this waqf can later be used as a means of empowering the economy of the middle and lower classes with the role played by Islamic microfinance institutions. The implications of this research can be a reference for various stakeholders, especially the government, in the distribution of potential waqf managed by Islamic microfinance institutions.

Abstract

The aim of this investigation is to conduct a systematic examination of bibliometric data analysis utilizing VOS Viewer and to present a comprehensive, step-by-step demonstration. The analysis is intended to assist individuals who are utilizing VOSviewer for the first time in easily accessing and utilizing the software. This study uses VOSviewer's mapping tool to provide data analysis on Islamic banking profit loss sharing (PLS) and its evolution over his five years (2018-2023). The methods used were qualitatively descriptive to explain the performance of econometric literature analysis by creating network visualizations of selected topics. The search results found 996 relevant published journals from 2018 to 2023, grouped into 10 categories by year of publication. Once the journal data had been categorized, from our analysis, it was found that there were 996 articles related to profit sharing in Islamic banking that were published within the period of 2018 to 2023. Consequently, it was deduced that profit and loss sharing in Islamic banking could be linked to various other research domains, indicating that there are ample opportunities to uncover new perspectives on this subject. Additionally, this research aims to provide researchers with a source to identify promising research areas and to choose research topics.

Abstract

Indonesia Law No. 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Assurance requires that by 2019 halal certification should be effectively implemented for food and beverage products, as well as service products related to both. Out of the 1.6 million micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), only 10 percent have been halal certified. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the perceptions of culinary business owners regarding intention to register for halal certificates. Theory of Planned Behavior will be modified and implemented in preparing the frameworks of the dependent-independent variables. Using partial least square method, 200 sample of culinary producers -owners and managers- in Bogor were studied. Intention of producers is found to be significantly influenced by trust. Trust is also found to be sensitive to functional factor and subjective norm. Trust is also found to be determining attitude, together with functional factor and perceived behavioral norms. Trust is also significant in mediating the effect of perceived behavioral norms to intention, and also in mediating the effect of subjective norm to intention. The population of this study is the MSMEs culinary producers in Great Bogor Area, West Java, Indonesia. Only the respective owners and managers of the responding businesses were the main respondent. Similar research should be done for other types of halal product in order to generalize the results. This research modify TPB in setting the framework of determinants for halal certification intention. Variables added to the original TPB framework are trust and functional factor. This result concludes that trust is crucial in the effort to increase the number of halal certified products in Bogor. The halal certification authorities would have basis to review their policies, procedures, and technical guidelines for halal certification process. This study could be extended in terms of object and other potential determinant variables. Literatures related to halal certification has limited exposure to producers’ motivation for halal certification

Abstract

This study aims to understand the condition of BSI employees as one of the impacts during the first year of the merger process. This research and writing is also motivated by the idea that a business organization certainly wants optimal performance. In order for the organization to provide optimal performance, the thing that must be strengthened is the Human Resources (HR) as an asset and the company's internal customers. Study uses SPSS 17.0 and WarpPLS 7.0 as analysis tools. The reason for using WarpPLS 7.0 is because it can be used for large respondents and this is statistics for analyzing several research variables simultaneously and can be used for research using primary data using the survey method. The number of respondents in this study were 118 people spread throughout Indonesia. The consideration for the justification for using the number of respondents is based on the theory (Sholihin, 2020a) that the minimum sample size for SEM-PLS must be equal to or greater than (1) ten times the largest number of formative indicators used or (2) ten times the number of pathways largest structural unit regarding a particular construct in the structural model. The majority of respondents argue that the value of employee experience can influence employee satisfaction, and employee satisfaction with BSI influences employee love and loyalty for BSI which encourages employee intentions to be active in BSI's internal organization. Respondents also agreed with the hypothesis which states that the moderating generation affects the value of experience on employee satisfaction. Implications: this study also confirms previous research that satisfaction can affect the love and loyalty of a brand. This study also confirms that the majority of respondents agree that the value of employee experience can affect employee satisfaction, and employee satisfaction with BSI affects employee love and loyalty to BSI which encourages employees' intention to be active in BSI's internal organization. the practical implication is that the behavior of employees to be active in BSI's internal organization can be a medium that strengthens relations between employees. Variable value of employee experience and variable intention of planned behavior to join an internal organization as a novelty / novelty.

Abstract

Capital market players or investors will consider several elements that can indicate the state of the company, such as examining financial reports from cash flow to profit and loss statements. In addition, the company's share price will ultimately be related to its market capitalization value. The profits obtained by investors will increase along with the increase in stock market capitalization, and the greater the appreciation, the higher the level of profit from an alternative investment. This study aims to determine the effect of net income and net cash flow on market capitalization. Secondary data in the form of Sharia Banking quarterly financial reports that have been listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for 2019-2022 is the source of the data. Three samples for this research sample were obtained, namely Bank Panin Dubai Syariah (PNBS), Sharia National Pension Savings Bank (BTPS), and Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). Panel data regression analysis with the Eviews 12 program was used in this study. The results show that partially net income has a negative and insignificant impact while net cash flow has a positive and significant impact on market capitalization. Meanwhile, market capitalization is simultaneously influenced by net profit and net cash flow variables.
