Abstract

Keberhasilan dalam pembelajaran biasanya ditunjukkan dengan prestasi akademik yang optimal dari para siswa. Tujuan pembelajaran dapat dicapai jika guru dapat menciptakan atmosfir di mana siswa sangat termotivasi untuk belajar. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan motivasi siswa adalah dengan memberi mereka umpan balik yang berarti mengenai kinerja mereka dalam belajar. Umpan balik bisa berupa umpan balik guru, umpan balik siswa, dan umpan balik dari rekan sejawat. Makalah ini dimaksudkan untuk membahas bagaimana menggabungkan umpan balik yang berarti di kelas bahasa. Pada prinsipnya, umpan balik dapat diimplementasikan di kelas manapun, namun dalam tulisan ini penulis mencoba untuk berbagi bagaimana penerapannya di tiga kelas yang biasanya dia tangani. Kelasnya adalah Peer Teaching, sebagai bagian integral dari Magang 2, tata bahasa Inggris, dan Terjemahan. Umpan balik dapat diterapkan dalam berbagai teknik dan kategori sesuai dengan tujuan umpan balik. Dalam praktik ini, diberikan dalam bentuk lisan dan tulisan baik langsung maupun tidak langsung. Di kelas peer teaching, misalnya, diberikan secara lisan dan tertulis, sedangkan di kelas Bahasa Inggris dan Terjemahan siswa dan umpan balik rekan sebagian besar dilakukan dalam bentuk tertulis meskipun kadang-kadang juga diberikan secara lisan. Melalui penerapan umpan balik, diamati bahwa motivasi dan prestasi siswa meningkat secara bertahap.

Abstract

This study aimed at evaluating the implementation of integrated TBLT and ELLIS which emphsized on observing, questioning,  exploring,  and  communicating.  The integrated learning had been implemented at two different classes of SMPN 1 Banguntapan and SMPM Piyungan in Bantul regency, Yogyakarta. The task resources were selected from ELLIS units involving sixteen units. Of quesionnaires and interviews, the results indicated that the developed tasks had already met the standard of learning competence at the level. Teachers and students responded in several aspects, namely; learning objective, content material, integrated language skill exercise, and self-evaluation availibility. Thus, the integrated tasks conclusively helped the students achieve better and easier understanding, promotes learning interest, and evaluate their own learning and progress, inasmuch as these tasks equipped with the individual and group exercises. This study implies that combination of TBLT and ELLIS generated better opportunities to create more innovative English teaching.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui langkah-langkah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match, peningkatan keaktifan serta hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match. Ada 2 siklus, terdiri 4 tahap: perencanaan,pelaksanaan,observasi dan refleksi. Subyek penelitiannya siswa kelas V SD Negeri Jati Jajar 02 sebanyak 26 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes dan nontes. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan butir-butir soal dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar dan keaktifan siswa pembelajaran IPS dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match. Hasil ini dilihat melalui perbandingan antar siklus yaitu ketuntasan belajar PraSiklus 42%,skor rata-rata 71,3. Siklus I 73%,skor rata-rata naik 76,1%. Siklus II 100%,skor rata-rata 81,3. Keaktifan siswa juga mengalami peningkatan, PraSiklus 15% siswa aktif. Siklus I 73% siswa aktif. Siklus II 81% siswa sangat aktif. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keaktifan siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: (1) Pengaruh metode learning cycle dan inkuiri terbimbing terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa (2) Pengaruh pemahaman metode ilmiah tinggi dan rendah terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertipe kuasi eksperimen. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada program studi Pendidikan IPA FKIP UST semester 1 tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Teknik pengumpulan data untuk prestasi belajar dan pemahaman metode ilmiah menggunakan tes. Teknik analisis data untuk uji hipotesis menggunakan analisis variansi dua jalan dengan sel tidak sama (ANOVA). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Tidak ada pengaruh pembelajaran dengan metode learning cycle dan inkuiri terbimbing terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa (p=0.057) (2) Ada pengaruh pemahaman metode ilmiah  rendah dan tinggi terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa (p=0.000).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model Think-Talk-Write dan instruksi langsung. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas VIII terdiri dari 6 kelas di SMP N 9 Yogyakarta 2014-2015. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah 2 kelas yaitu kelas kelas eksperimen VIIIF dan VIIIE sebagai kelas kontrol. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan korelasi t-test. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1) matematika hasil eksperimen kelas belajar dalam kategori tinggi (x Ì… = 85,59), (2) matematika hasil kelas kontrol belajar dalam kategori tinggi (x Ì… = 81,61), (3) hasil penghitungan menunjukkan bahwa tobs = 4309> ttabel = 2,035. Sehingga penggunaan jenis pembelajaran kooperatif Think-Talk-Write (TTW) model memiliki lebih efektif untuk matematika hasil belajar, dibandingkan dengan penggunaan model pembelajaran konvensional dengan matematika hasil belajar.

Abstract

The instrument is one of the tools used to collect a data, whether or not a research instrument needs to be seen the characteristics of the instrument being prepared. So the purpose of this research is to know the characteristics of test instruments Problem-solving mathematics that have been compiled on the material geometry for junior high school class VII. The research method used is the basic research method. Data analysis is done qualitatively and quantitatively. Qualitative analysis is used to see the characteristic of content validity, whereas quantitative analysis is done to see the characteristics of differentiating power and instrument reliability. The results show that all items have good content validity and distinguishing power, with a very high degree of reliability.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for the design and implementation of training model for the development of interaction and communication of children with autism that is effective according to the needs of the institution and the field. The formulation of the problem is "what kind of training model that suits the needs of teacher competence improvement in developing interaction and communication skills of children with autism disorder?". This research uses Research and Development (R & D) model of Dugan Laird model. This research uses purposive sampling which involves all respondents of alumni of related training. Data were analyzed using t-test and qualitative analysis. The conclusions are: (1) based on the result of the test on the data of the alumni of training perception on his own competence and the implementation of the training result in their schools, the result of the test shows that the autistic training conducted in Bandung is more effective than the previous two training, Medan and Semarang training. (2) The resulting training design model is assumed to be more effective than the previous training design because it has the clarity of the program structure and its evaluation system.

Abstract

A preliminary observation on the students’ term papers of the English language education department of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University showed that, in terms of using of concept maps, some were completed with ones and the others were not. Therefore, it was interesting to do a research on this issue. However, due to time limitation, this study focused on the term papers with concept maps and the objective of the research was to find out how students developed their concept maps. The research method was a mixed-method between quantitative and qualitative techniques. The objects of the research were the term papers on literature accomplished during the academic year 2013/2014. The quantitative technique was applied in classifying the objects according to the proportion of interest, while the qualitative technique was used to analyze the findings descriptively. The results of the research showed that 16.39% of 137 students writing term papers during the academic year analyzed literary works 91.30%  of which used concept maps. The concept maps could be classified into two groups: comprehensive and partial.

Abstract

Permasalahan penelitan adalah siswa kelas 4 SD Negeri 2 Kaligentong belum berpikir kritis, dan hasil belajar IPS yang belum maksimal. Pembelajaran kooperatif Team Game Tournament berbantuan puzzle akan diterapkan pada pembelajaran IPS kelas 4 menggunakan metode spiral Stephen Kemmis dan Robin Mc.Taggart, terdiri 2 siklus, siklus I dan siklus II dilaksanakan 3 pertemuan. Pengumpulan data dengan tes menggunakan instrumen soal, pada non tes menggunakan lembar observasi guru maupun siswa. Proses kinerja guru maupun siswa. Pra siklus skor guru 83,82, skor siswa 63,3, siklus I pertemuan pertama skor guru 88, skor siswa 83, pertemuan kedua skor guru 93, skor siswa 94, pada siklus II pertemuan pertama skor guru 96, skor siswa 97, pada siklus II pertemuan kedua skor guru 99, skor siswa 99. Ketuntasan IPS pra siklus 75%, siklus I 94%, dan siklus II 100%, nilai rata-rata pra siklus 68, siklus I 86,1, dan siklus II 91,6.

Abstract

The changes paradigm from “teaching” to “learning doesn’t always related with something that happen in the class such as interaction teacher and students, but also involves the changes of paradigm and it must be done by the institution as a system in an organization and it must be done by all persons. The changes mindset from teaching to learning, which gives some lesson to the planning must be done by the lecture or teacher, more over the development of information and communication technology in this era globalization is already developed. So it needs to be done the changes of learning system by using models or methods which can push the students to be an active learner. The using of ICT maybe can be the solution of this problem. That’s why lecture or teacher must follow the development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in learning process and also can apply in the environment which has been planed.
