Abstract

The research purpose of  this study is improve student learning outcomes. To study the response of learners to apply direct instruction model (DI). To determine the activity of students during the learning process takes place. This study applied milling machine CNC majors of SMKN 1 Cirebon on the topic the program milling machine CNC. The object of this study was student class XII PM1 year 2016/2017which consists of 34 students. The kind of this research is Classroom Action Research which consists of several cycles refers to completeness criteria specified. When the cycle of first step is can not obtained a value corresponding to the criteria of completeness, the cycle will continue until the obtained results are in accordance with the criteria of completeness. Each cycle has stages, planning, action, observation and reflection. Data obtained from this study were collected and analyzed qualitative description, while the instruments used in this study include the observation sheet learner activity, achievement test sheets, questionnaires learners. The results of this study are the application of direct instruction model on topic charging system using the program milling machine CNC courses, learning outcomes increasing student mastery criteria for achieving a grade of 75 (B+). This is indicated by the increasing learning outcomes in the first cycle is only one study that reached mastery criteria but on the second cycle all learners have achieved the final learning criteria score ≥ 75 (B+) and the activity of the learner's mean score = 86,77 to 97,22 , despite of the fact that the response decreased firstly learners first cycle with an average percentage of 79,99 % decreased to 77,64 %.

Abstract

The main problem examined in this study is the relationship between learning styles and science learning achievement in class IV SDN 08 East Jakarta. This study aims to obtain knowledge based on data or facts that are valid, true and trusted about the relationship between learning styles and science learning achievement. The hypothesis tested is that there is a relationship between learning styles and science learning achievement in class IV SDN 08 East Jakarta. In accordance with the problem and research objectives, the method used is the survey method with descriptive correlational techniques. The subjects in this study were fourth grade students of SDN 08 Elementary School, East Jakarta, with a population of 101 people and a sample of 34 people with a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used to obtain the variable X data is a questionnaire, while the variable Y data is the report card value. The data analysis technique uses the product moment correlation method to test the research hypothesis with α = 5%, the result of rxy (r count) is 0.47 with r table (32.5%) is 0.34. Because rxy> r table, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between learning styles and science learning achievement in class IV SDN 08 East Jakarta.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemahaman matematis ditinjau dari keaktifan belajar peserta didik melalui model pembelajaran make a match pada pokok bahasan bangun ruang sisi datar. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengamati keaktifan belajar peserta didik selama mengikuti proses pembelajaran. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan dokumentasi, observasi, tes kemampuan pemahaman matematis, dan wawancara. Analisis yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, triangulasi, dan simpulan atau verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik yang mempunyai keaktifan belajar tinggi juga mempunyai kemampuan pemahaman matematis yang tinggi pula, peserta didik yang mempunyai keaktifan belajar sedang juga mempunyai kemampuan pemahaman matematis yang sedang pula, sedangkan peserta didik yang mempunyai keaktifan belajar rendah ada yang berkemampuan pemahaman matematis rendah pula dan ada juga yang justru berkemampuan pemahaman matematis tinggi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the application of Meaning Theory and Drill Theory in statistical learning. The population in this study were the fourth semester PGSD students, amounting to 150 students and the sample in this study was 105. This type of research is a quasi-experimental quantitative research method. Data collection through tests through question instruments. The data analysis technique uses the t-test through a prerequisite test for data normality and homogeneity. From the results of the prerequisite test analysis of the post-test data of the experimental group and the control group, it can be concluded that the two groups are normally distributed and homogeneous. Based on the testing criteria, if the data are normally distributed and homogeneous, then proceed with the T test. From the results of the calculation, the results of the hypothesis test are tcount> t table (5.229> 1.990) with a significance of <0.05, 0.00. Then it can be said that H0 is rejected or Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that statistical learning outcomes through the application of meaning theory and drill theory are more effective than lecture or conventional methods.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative-project based learning models to develop critical thinking skills of UST PGSD students in Science Concept Basic courses. The research method used a quasi-experiment with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study was conducted on UST PGSD study program students. Data collection techniques using documentation techniques, test techniques and observation techniques of critical thinking skills. Data analysis consists of analyzing test results as well as analyzing the results of observations of critical thinking skills. From the results of different tests, the value of p = 0.000 was obtained so that there was a very significant difference in the achievement of critical thinking skills of students who took part in learning using conventional learning models and cooperative-project based learning models. Because the average grade of the class using the cooperative-project based learning model is higher than the average grade of the class using the conventional model, so there is an influence of the cooperative-project based learning model in developing critical thinking skills of USSD PGSD students in the Science Concept Basic course.

Abstract

The ability to understand mathematical concepts is a goal that must be achieved first in learning mathematics. Therefore, students are expected to have good mathematical concept understanding skills. However, in reality the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts is still low. One mode of learning that can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts is the guided discovery learning model. This study aims to determine whether the increased ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who use the guided discovery learning model is higher than students who use conventional learning. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study using Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students of class XI MIA Citra Kasih with a sample of class XI MIA 1 and XI MIA 2 with the sample collection technique was cluster random sampling. The test instrument in this study is a test description of the ability to understand mathematical concepts in the form of problem descriptions and non-test instruments in the form of observation sheets. Based on the hypothesis test conducted from normalized change data using the Mann Whitney U test, it was found that the increased ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who use guided discovery learning models is higher than students who use conventional learning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes on competency standards Mengukur Besaran Listrik Rangkaian Elektronika with the Demonstration method. The research method used was classroom action research with 2 cycles. Each research cycle includes planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The research subjects used were grade X students of Industrial Electrical Engineering 4 SMK 1 Cirebon. The results showed that the demonstration method used with the media can improve student learning outcomes because it can foster student self-confidence and can increase student understanding of the material being taught. Giving praise to students during learning can motivate students to learn so that student activity in learning increases. Providing guided training to students who have difficulty completing training during teaching and learning activities can increase learning activities of students of Class X Electrical Engineering Industry 4 SMK N 1 Cirebon City.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the contribution of motivation and independent attitude towards entrepreneurship interest in Student. Type of quantitative research . Population of all students are taking entrepreneurship courses in the academic many as 152 students. Sampling technique with proportional random sampling is 92. Data collection using questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique for the first hypothesis test used double regression of two predictors, second and third hypothesis test using partial correlation and significance test using t-test. All requirements test meets analytical requirements (test of normality, linearity, and multicollinearity). The results showed motivation, independent attitude and entrepreneurship interest in the category was with average observations higher than the ideal average. Multiple regression analysis showed Freg= 87,821 with chance of error 0,000 double correlation coefficient Ry1,2= 0,820 and R2= 0,627 mean 62,7% entrepreneur interest can be explained by both predictor change, meaning effective contribution of motivation equal to 35,21% and independent attitude equal to 45.39%. Partial correlation coefficient R1y-2= 0,531 and R2y-1= 0,570.

Abstract

Lesson study muncul sebagai salah satu alternatif yang berguna untuk mengatasi masalah praktik pembelajaran yang selama ini dipandang kurang efektif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menerapkan lesson study sebagai  model pembinaan yang berkelanjutan untuk memperbaiki kualitas pembelajaran pada mata kuliah fungsi peubah kompleks. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Adapun instrumen pengumpulan data meliputi lembar observasi dan dokumentasi. Melalui model lesson study diperoleh hasil bahwa adanya peningkatan aktivitas siswa dari setiap siklus. Dalam hal ini, Lesson Study dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu alternatif guna mendorong terjadinya perubahan dalam praktik pembelajaran menuju ke arah yang jauh lebih efektif.Kata Kunci: Lesson Study, Fungsi Peubah Kompleks.

Abstract

Songs that are combined with movements or dances are still the main media for the delivery of English for children. Unfortunately, children often do not understand the meaning of the lyrics of the songs they sing. This research was conducted to determine the time needed by children to understand the meaning of English vocabulary that is introduced through songs. This study involved 15 Kangaroo PAUD students between the ages of 3-6 years and had been familiar with English for 2-15 months. Within one week, they were able to memorize the 2 songs taught and during 4 days of observation, the understanding of English vocabulary from the lyrics was between 20-90%. The interesting thing is, all participants really understand the meaning of the word thumb, but they have difficulty understanding one word, namely nodding. The discussion of the results of this study is reviewed from the cognitive aspects of acquiring a foreign language by combining two language inputs, namely song and visualization in Total Physical Response.
