Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the problematic use of Gimkit as an interactive learning media in elementary school high class. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with Case Study approach. Subjects consisted of teachers and students of Class V in SDN Paron 1. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that although Gimkits can increase student engagement and motivation to learn, there are a number of obstacles faced, such as limited devices and internet networks, variations in students ' digital literacy skills, and limited time for integration in the curriculum. This study recommends teacher training and technology infrastructure support as the first step to optimize the utilization of Gimkit.

Abstract

his study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. Its objective was to systematically and objectively describe students' perceptions of the deep learning approach in the context of 21st-century education. The subjects of this research were 43 undergraduate students from the Education Department in Malang, class of 2022, selected through purposive sampling, specifically those who had taken the Curriculum and Instruction course.The study revealed that the perceptions of these undergraduate education students in Malang toward the deep learning approach in the 21st century were still at a moderate level. Some students expressed interest in and support for the deep learning approach, citing its relevance to technological advancements, digital literacy demands, and the need to improve the quality of learning. However, the students’ understanding of the deep learning concept remained weak. Many had not yet been introduced to or deeply understood the approach, both in terms of its foundational principles and its practical implementation in learning contexts.Students recognized that the deep learning approach requires critical thinking skills, reflective abilities, and sensitivity to student character diversity. They viewed the deep learning approach as capable of fostering more meaningful, personalized, and adaptive learning experiences tailored to students' needs.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy is a key competency of the 21st century, but student achievement in Indonesia is still low. The research aims to describe the constructivism approach in fostering students' mathematical literacy. The research method is qualitative with the type of literature study through the review of reputable articles indexed by Science and Technology Index and Scopus and relevant scientific books. The results showed that students experienced obstacles in solving mathematical literacy problems, including difficulties in interpreting problems, modeling contextual problems, drawing conclusions according to context, and understanding relationships between concepts. The constructivism approach based on Piaget and Vygotsky's theories can overcome obstacles through active learning, where students build knowledge through interaction with the environment and social experiences. To foster mathematical literacy through constructivism approach, teachers need to apply three main principles, namely authentic principle, scaffolding principle, and reflective principle. The three principles form a complementary pedagogical framework for building deep conceptual understanding and mathematical problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Assessment in differentiated instruction presents challenges for educators due to the diversity of students' potentials. This study reviews the effectiveness of assessment strategies in differentiated instruction to evaluate the diversity of student potentials. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review of 15 relevant articles published between 2020 and 2025. The findings indicate that diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments, as well as adaptive and multiformat assessments, are effective in accommodating diverse learning needs. Identified challenges include time constraints, lack of teacher training, and technological barriers. Adjusting assessment strategies through flexible methods, the use of portfolios, tiered tasks, and the integration of technology is key to enhancing the effectiveness of assessment in differentiated instruction. These findings provide important recommendations for educators in designing more inclusive and responsive assessments to accommodate student diversity.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the perceptions of class X students of Light Vehicle Engineering (TKR) towards mathematics learning and its impact on students' learning interests and attitudes. The study was conducted at one of the vocational schools in Yogyakarta with a qualitative approach and descriptive method. Data were collected using triangulation techniques through observation, open questionnaires, and in-depth interviews. The results showed that most students had negative perceptions of mathematics, which were considered difficult, confusing, and irrelevant to life or work in the automotive field. This perception resulted in low interest and negative attitudes such as indifference, passivity, and lack of enthusiasm. However, there were students who showed positive attitudes when the material presented was considered relevant and easy to understand. These findings indicate a close relationship between students' perceptions, interests, and attitudes towards mathematics learning. Therefore, it is important for educators to design learning strategies that are more contextual, applicable, and in accordance with the world of work in order to form positive perceptions of mathematics.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of social media Tiktok on the numeracy of class VII junior high school students. In this research, it consists of the independent variable, namely the use of social media Tiktok (X) and the dependent variable, namely student numeracy (Y). This research uses quantitative research methods with a cross-sectional survey design and the research instrument uses numeracy essay test questions and non-tests in the form of a questionnaire on the use of social media Tiktok. The population in this study were all class VII students of SMP PGRI 1 Cianjur for the 2023-2024 academic year, with samples taken using purposive sampling, namely 23 students or 46% of the total students. Data analysis techniques in this research are descriptive statistical tests, normality tests, linearity tests, homoscedasticity tests, anova tests and simple linear regression tests. Based on the results of quantitative data analysis using the JASP program version 0.16.3.0, it was concluded that there was an influence of social media Tiktok on the numeracy of class VII SMP students. The influence of using social media Tiktok on students' numeracy can have a positive effect if used well, for example for studying, and conversely it can have a negative effect if used for bad purposes.

Abstract

Education plays a vital role in human life. Every person deserves access to fair and equal educational opportunities. However, numerous challenges persist within the education system. At the elementary school level, one of the common issues is the difficulty students face during the learning process. Throughout teaching and learning activities, various obstacles often arise, which can be identified through the students' academic performance. These learning outcomes serve as measurable indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of educational processes. This study aims to explore the learning barriers in elementary schools as reflected in students' academic achievements. A descriptive method with a qualitative approach was employed in the research. The results highlight specific learning constraints present in elementary schools, as identified through students’ learning outcomes.
