Abstract

Education is a conscious effort to improve all forms of human resources. Vocational high school (SMK) is a level of education that prioritizes skills in certain fields. It has the main goal of preparing students to enter the workforce. SMKN 1 Darul Kamal is one of the vocational education levels which was interested by the junior high school graduates especially in terms of Electrical Installation Engineering. In class XI TITL,the students have a lot of difficulty in learning the science of Electrical Motor Installation (IML). This caused by limiting of teaching materials/printed books, that recently available in monochrome display theories and pictures. Thus, it is difficult for students to absorb their knowledge. The solution efforts should be done was applying the practicum module to assess the student learning outcomes and their responses to the electric motor installation module. This research used a quantitative approach. Based on the results of data processing, it shows that there is a different changing in students’outcomes that shown from the average score of students at the pre-test, which is 50 and the average score of students at the post-test, which was 76.25. As for the response to the electric motor installation practicum module, it showed a very high response from students, which the average of the response value was 85%.. It can be concluded that the motor installation module was effective in its application and it could be improved into other subject material.

Abstract

Digital technology has made a great contribution to the education achievement. This technology is especially in the use of various media which need to being developed in learning using interactive multimedia in the teaching matters of a course. This research is inspired by the lack of optimalization used of interactive multimedia in animation programming courses, especially in actionscript programming material. Therefore, the researchers designed an interactive learning media for actionscript programming by using the Articulate Storyline application which called actionscript learning. The problem formulation of this research is how to design and determine the level of feasibility of interactive media for actionscript programming for learning. This study aims to create an actionscript programming interactive learning media that supports learning activities in animation programming courses. However, this study uses the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method. The results obtained from the average value of material experts, media experts, and students are 3.22, 3.1, and  respectively in mean of 3.49, with the percentage of eligibility of 80.5%, 77.4%, and 87.2% in the worthy, worthy and very worthy categories. Thus the interactive learning media of actionscript programming can be said to be feasible to support learning activities in animation programming courses.

Abstract

One of the important things that support the implementation of an effective and efficient learning system is to manage data and related matters properly. E-roster, or the management of schedules and subjects in schools that are managed electronically, is one of the main options that is considered capable of improving data management problems. This research focuses on the design and development of the E-roster  application to help the process of managing the learning list at school so that it continues to run well and optimally. This E-roster information system will provide convenience in compiling and managing learning lists, and providing comprehensive information to subject teachers and students. The research method applied is the RnD (Research and Development) method, with system development using the Waterfall method. For the analysis of the quality level of the web-based teaching and learning E-roster information system. It is based on testing five aspects of Usability Testing which consist of aspects of learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors, and satisfaction. The result showed that the test percentage of usability test is 78.6%, which indicates that the quality and ease of application of the E-roster is very good (SB).

Abstract

This study aims to produce a digital e-book learning media product with the assistance of an android smartphone as a learning resource in electrical installation courses. This study uses the type of Research and Development (R & D) type of Lee and Owen's theory development model including Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Collecting data in this research used a questionnaire method and direct observation. The data collection technique which involved 20 respondents, 3 media experts, 3 material experts and 3 user experts. Based on the findings of the research analysis on the development of learning products with the help of Android Smartphones, it was found that the feasibility of learning media in terms of media experts with an average value of 83 is included in the "very feasible" category, the feasibility assessed by material experts with an average value of 89.6 is included in the category " very feasible”, as well as the feasibility in terms of using learning media with an average score of 66.75 and included in the “decent” category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that learning media with the help of Android Smartphones can be used in learning electrical installation courses.

Abstract

The development of information technology has given positive changes to the field of education. The leak mastery of technology both in terms of designing or implementing learning results caused less teacher competence and the achievement of student learning outcomes. Utilization of iSpring Suite application is based on the limitations of teachers in designing and compiling learning media. Thus, teachers are required to be able to adapt to the use of digital technology in the world of education. This study aims to facilitate the evaluation of Physics learning by using the iSpring Suite software which used laptop as a server (local hosting) and displaying student scores without the teacher checking manually. In addition, the iSpring Suite could also be used to create learning media in the form of an attractive ebook with available features. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. The sample in this study consisted of three classes, two experimental classes, namely XI IPA 3, XI IPA 4 and one control class, namely XI IPA 2. The data was collected by using interviews, test questions and student response questionnaires. The result of students' responses to ebooks and iSpring Suite-assisted evaluation proved that 79% in class XI IPA 3 agreed. Based on the data, it can be concluded that iSpring Suite can be used as an alternative application in making media and material evaluation quizzes. It is also recommended that this application can be continued its application to other subjects.

Abstract

This research was conducted on the Circuit Wizard simulator application to simplify the students, especially in the field of Telecommunications Systems, Indonesia Education University, Purwakarta for understanding of the characteristics of each Operational Amplifier with a comparator circuit. In addition, this article presented and tested a comparator circuit to compare the results of two voltages, namely inverting and non-inverting Op Amps. The method used in the research, by making a comparator circuit with 10 different types of Operational Amplifiers. This is carried out to get more valid comparison result and the simulation is run for six times. The simulation was conduct in two comparison conditions with a Vin(+) value of 6V, a predetermined Vin(-) value and a DC voltage flowing of 12V. The results of the analysis through simulations with 10 types of Operational Amplifiers produced different outputs. In principle, it can be influenced by V rail-to-rail, intrinsic circuit, Zin, Zout, Pin and the different characteristics of each Operational Amplifier model. As a comparison, based on its characteristics, the LM741 data sheet has a value of Vs = ±15 V (output voltage swing) if RL 10 kΩ and RL 2kΩ. Whereas in the data sheet LM258 has a value of VS = 30 V if RL = 2 kΩ, VS = 30 V if RL 10 kΩ, VS = 5 V if RL 2 kΩ for positive rail, and VS = 5 V if RL 10 kΩ for negative rails. It can be concluded that the Circuit Wizard software makes it easy to simulate the comparator circuit, so it suggested to be simulated on other materials.

Abstract

Recently, urban communities are interesting gardening as their hobby which can be done at home on narrow land. However, this hobby is faced with several problems, which most of them are workers and busy thus they could not care, monitor and control their plants. The presence of Internet of Things (IoT) technology is a major breakthrough for the problems that exist in society. With IoT, it is easier for people to remotely monitor and control their gardens anytime and anywhere. However, this study develops a prototype of an IoT-based plant watering automation system for chili plants in Greenbox. The design of the prototype is a Cartesian robot with X and Y axes. The prototype performs automatically success depending on the input value of soil moisture or soil pH from the sensor. The result of this research showed that the robot is success automatically watering or giving liquid fertilizer to the Smart Greenbox. The automation carried out by this robot of watering or cultivating based on input from the sensor results. The accuracy obtained from the prototype reached 95.53% for the X axis and 99.15% for the Y axis. The application of this prototype automation system was considered efficient in the using. Finally, the quality of the received data transmission shows good results.

Abstract

Electronic mail is a web-based tool that is used to archive incoming and outgoing letters. This application was created to help and expedite the job of filing letters at SMK Muhammadiyah Banda Aceh. Defects are common in any new software development; development allows for errors to make the application heavier. As a result, testing software is critical; the purpose is to determine the quality of the information system that has been built or developed, because quality affects user happiness. A standard is required in the construction and development of a quality information system so that the feasibility of the information system can be measured. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9126 standard is used in this study's quality assessment. The results reveal that the built web-based document archiving information system satisfied the ISO 9126 criteria in terms of functionality, usability, dependability, and efficiency.

Abstract

This study has the aim of designing an Android-based 2D and 3D animation e-module application which will later become a source of learning for students and also determining the feasibility level of the 2D and 3D animation e-module application to improve student learning outcomes. This study uses research and development (R & D) research methods and uses the Luther development model in developing software engineering applications using MIT App Inventor. This type of research is in the form of quantitative research in which all data is obtained through questionnaires from media experts, material experts, and students, as well as the results of pre-test and post-test students. The respondents in this study were 11 students in Class XI multimedia animation lessons in 2D and 3D. The hypothesis was tested using a paired t-test. The study's findings revealed that the use of 2D and 3D animation e-module applications had significant an impact on improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Technology and industry are inseparable. Technology has made human work easier and more efficient and minimized the occurrence of errors. Recently, small household industries (home industry), specifically liquid product industries such as milk, syrup, fruit juice, and others, still use manual filling. This process requires a relatively long charging time. Automatic mechanical systems for filling liquids into bottles are a kind of technological advancement in the industrial world. The system helps the process of filling liquids into bottles precisely and quickly. It is necessary to design small-scale Internet of Things-based tools for the home industry by utilizing NodeMCU as a control system, and InfraRed and Ultrasonic as sensors. Arduino IDE as programming sketch software and Telegram as a data monitoring application. Based on this background, this study aims to create an automatic system for filling liquids into bottles based on the Internet of Things by monitoring data via telegrams. The results of the tool testing show that the installed infrared sensor can detect the filling of liquid in bottles consistently with a period of 5 seconds for each bottle. The Telegram application that is integrated with the tool can provide notifications of the amount of liquid in the main container automatically at the end of the filling process. Likewise when the amount of liquid is in critical condition. Overall, each component of this tool has worked well.
