Abstract

ABSTRACTThe times are getting faster and powerful impact on the changes in all fields. One in the field of education which requires students to improve the mastery of a concept. Efforts to support it, it is used in the form of learning media modules. This study aims to determine the effect of learning modules for students' mastery of concepts. This research is a kind of experimental research design with posttest only control design with a sample of 2 XI where samples taken by random sampling technique. The data was normally distributed through the test of normality (Kolmogorov-Smirnov test in SPSS 20) equal 0,654 significantion 0,786 (experiment class) dan 0,619 significantion 0,839 (control class) and homogeneous through the test of homogeneity (Levene's test in SPSS 20) for 0,025 significantion 0,874 . Posttest t test results which is obtained tmeasure> ttable to 5%. The research proves that the use of the module in the learning activities can improve students' mastery of concepts. Module development should be increased and combined with other learning models. KEYWORDS: module, achievement, the magnetic field

Abstract

ABSTRACTDevelopments in the world of education experienced a fairly complex problem where one of them the quality of learning. It should be noted and followed up by adjusting the era of the all-powerful state through the development of technology, information and communication (ICTs). Utilization of ICT through the internet facility in learning activities can improve the quality of learning both in the classroom and outside the classroom. One effort to improve the quality of learning is the learning activities with the Internet is a form of E-learning by using the facebook application. Facebook is a media that is already known to many people and can be operated anywhere and anytime. The use of media facebook expected to improve student learning outcomes. The discussion will be directed to the use of Facebook as a medium of learning an innovative, interactive, and communicative in improving the quality of the learning process. Abstract

ABSTRACTSelection of teaching methods largely determine the quality of teaching in the learning process. To enhance the students 'learning process necessary to activate learning strategy, challenge and empower students' thinking skills to find the concept itself, so it can help students gain a deeper understanding and meaningful. One of the learning strategies that can membelajarkan students are learning strategy kreaktif productive. Strategy pembelajran Airport has 5 syntax, namely: the orientation phase, the exploration, interpretation stage, the stage of re-creation, and evaluation phase. Based on observations during the learning process it was found that the activity of students during the learning process has increased. This was evident during the learning process seen active interaction between students and students, students and teachers, and the interaction between students with learning media used. It shows that during the learning process has been an increase in motivation, enthusiasm for learning and curiosity of students, the courage of students in the opinion, and cooperation among students in learning, as well as the responsibility of the student in completing the task group. This means the quality of student learning has improved. This increase can be realized thanks to the motivation and guidance teacher for learning, good cooperation between students and teachers, as well as the emergence of intrinsic motivation and awareness of students to learn. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to determine the problem-solving ability in the energy concept of harmonic oscillation. Students were given recognition problem task to determine the recognition ability of physics problem and requested to solve problems based on the problem-solving stage. Interviews were conducted to follow up on students’ problem recognition and problem solving. The results showed students’ construction of physics concepts have not formed properly,  students is able to distinguish between simple harmonic motion and damped harmonic motion, and students have difficulty in applying energy-theorem and energy-conservation laws in harmonic oscillation problem. Learning that involves asking the students give a conceptual explanation to the opinions and answer orally or in writing, giving the problem to be grouped based on the concept might can be done to help students establish physic concepts well and solve physics problems. Abstract

ABSTRACT In the process of communication with other person, there will be many possibilities of misunderstanding and misinterpreting of the meaning from the language we use. So that, understanding meaning is very crucial. In linguistics, we can explore our knowledge about meaning by studying semantics. This study is focused on analyzing the English translation of surah Al-Fath by T.B. Irving by using semantic theory. This study is conducted using descriptive qualitative method because the data are in the forms of sentences or words of surah Al-Fath. The result of this study shows three kinds of meaning involved in this surah namely lexical, sentential and discoursal meaning. Abstract

ABSTRACTCoverage of the subject matter in addition to a lot of biology and spacious, and most of the material using the Latin or foreign languages. The learning is still conventional, so many students are experiencing ksesulitan for the study, causing the value of these subjects average value below the value specified KKM school, which is 75. The solution to overcome this problem researchers use learning methods Group Investigation. This action research conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Nganjuk with research samples VII.3 classes in the academic year 2014/2015 the number of students 30 people. This research was conducted during March 2015. May s.d learning activity data obtained through observations by researchers, while learning achievement obtained through tests conducted at the end of each cycle. Based on research data can be summarized in one cycle of 30 students, there are 18 students have not completed their study or not reaching the KKM (≥ 75) with a percentage of 80% and 12 students completed with a percentage of 40% with an average value of class 62. In cycle 2 the average value of student activity increased to 85.0%, and all aspects of student learning activities lowest value B with excellent category, while the average value of the class became 84.56 and there was one student who falls below the KKM. The conclusion of this study is the Group Investigation learning methods can enhance students' learning activities and academic achievement. The research activity of this class action teachers will be motivated, to always improve student learning outcomes in all biological materials. To further solidify the concept that has been owned by the students, teachers can fuse with the GI method puzzle game play. The technique according to the nature of junior high school kids who still love to play, but they did not abandon the obligation of learning. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to produce products such as phytoremediation handbook for the course of Environmental Pollution. This study uses a model of research and development Borg & Gall until the fifth stage is a major product revision. Data obtained from the handbook development expert validation sheet material, teaching materials experts, education professionals (lecturers), and students, who then all the data is analyzed. The results of the validation calculation shows the results valid and sufficient valid and does not need revision, but the revision is still being done by taking into account suggestions and comments provided by all validator to fix the product. Results of the study are the product of the handbook entitled "Phytoremediation (Efforts to Maintain Quality Water Environment)" which has advantages such as: easy to understand language and accompanied by images that support, each chapter comes with questions related to environmental issues that can be fishing mindset of students to be more concerned about the environment and find solutions to problems, an explanation of phytoremediation, application and impact of the plant is described in full, while the drawback is still keeping up the real issues waters in Indonesia, tools and materials for research must be clearly stated so the procedure can work well understood, as well as the need for a glossary to explain terms of biology that are important. Abstract

Abstract In studying the concept of biology is not only enough to memorize it but it is necessary to have a direct learning experience by linking between the subject matter obtained with real life everyday. Lecturers no longer act as a learning resource that always convey materials to the students and make presentations, but acts as a mentor and facilitate for students willing and able to learn. Students are not regarded as a learning object that can be restricted and organized according to the lecturers' wishes, but students are placed as subjects who can learn according to their talents, interests, and abilities. Lecturers are required to be creative and innovative in developing also apply learning tools in accordance with the learning style and characteristics of the students. Where lecturers should be able to determine the appropriate learning model in teaching, so that there is an active interaction between students, lecturers with students, and students with the environment. Learning Cooperative learning can make it easier for students to learn. Students will describe the digestive system, so that the learning experience that students get through the activities during the learning will improve students' understanding. The method used in the research using experimental method with the design of One Group Pratest-Postest Design. From the analysis of the development of pretest and posttest values, in this study showed an increased posttest score, student response analysis of the Cooperative Learning Type Pair Chekk show students are motivated to follow the learning. Abstract

Abstract This study was aimed to answer a research question, is there any significant correlation between students’ motivation and English achievement at the fourth semester of English department at Islamic University of Malang. This study is classified into descriptive research and for more specific; the researcher used quantitive design, which is correlation study. The procedure of this study used the correlation formula of Person Product Moment. Based on the calculation of this research, the result of correlation between two variables is lower than the critical value. The research hypothesis was rejected and the null hypothesis was accepted. In other words, if this research had used only motivation as independent variable, it would not had significant correlation to the students’ English achievement of the fourth semester students of English department at Islamic University of Malang. Islamic religious education is the most important part of family education to form the human kamil. In guiding or educating a child let parents use the method or way, so that the education provided can affect the child.
