Abstract

This research sought to compare the effectiveness of Science Technology Engineering Mathematics Problem Based Learning (STEM PBL) and Science Technology Engineering Mathematics Project Based Learning (STEM PjBL) learning models in fostering critical thinking abilities. Quantitative research with a pretest posttest comparison group design is the methodology employed. Based on the outcomes of an investigation of normal and homogeneous data. The increase falls into the high category because the average N-gain value for STEM PjBL on all facets of critical thinking skills is 0.76. STEM PBL, however, is 0.66, thus the growth is in the middle range. The independent t-test results revealed that there was a difference between the two courses in the development of critical thinking abilities, with sig. (2-tailed) of 0.01. The study's findings indicate that both STEM PjBL and STEM PBL can be utilized to enhance critical thinking abilities, but STEM PjBL is more beneficial in this regard.

Abstract

During pregnancy there are safe changes both physically and psychologically. Mothers who experience anxiety and stress, the signal travels through the Hypothalamo-Pituitary-Adrenal (HPA) which can cause the release of stress hormones including Adreno Cortico Tropin Hormone (ACTH), cortisol and catecholamines. The release of stress hormones in pregnant women results in systemic vasoconstriction, including placental vasa utero constriction which causes impaired blood flow in the uterus, so that oxygen transport into the myometrium is disrupted and results in weak uterine muscle contractions. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of pregnant gymnastics has a relationship with anxiety levels as a prenatal service in reducing anxiety facing first labour. The type of research used in this study is the Quasi Experiment method. The type of research used in this study is experimental research, which is a research procedure carried out by providing treatment / intervention on research subjects, with the aim of assessing the effect of a treatment on the independent variable on the dependent variable. The results of the study indicate that pregnant gymnastics as a prenatal service is effective in reducing anxiety facing the first childbirth, this can be seen from the results before and after the treatment and prenatal service of pregnant gymnastics.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem whose incidence is quite high in Indonesia. Efforts to prevent and reduce stunting rates must involve all parties comprehensively. The process of stunting starts from pre-conception when a teenager becomes a mother who is malnourished and anemic. In Indonesia, 37.1% of women of childbearing age suffer from anemia. Several studies report that there is a relationship between anemia in pregnancy and the incidence of stunting in toddlers, however similar research is still rarely carried out in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). This study aims to determine the relationship between a history of anemia in pregnant women and the incidence of stunting in toddlers at the Nipah Community Health Center, Malaka, North Lombok Regency (KLU). This research is an observational analytical survey research with a case control design. There were 69 samples in the case group (stunted toddlers) and 69 samples in the control group (normal toddlers). The results showed that there were 101 mothers (73.2%) with normal Hb levels, 24 mothers (17.4%) with mild anemia and 13 mothers (9.4%) with moderate anemia. Overall, 37 mothers (26.8%) suffered from anemia. The conclusion of this study is that there is no significant relationship between a history of anemia in pregnancy and the incidence of stunting in toddlers with a p value of 0.842. Obtaining an odds ratio value of 1 means that mothers who experience anemia during pregnancy have no risk of having stunted children. Anemia during pregnancy, parental income, education level and mother's employment simultaneously influence the stunting variable by 14.9%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the topics that become students' misconceptions in kinematics, the causes that can trigger misconceptions, and the remediation used to overcome these misconceptions. The method used in this research was the systematic review method. Based on the data analysis, it was found that the biggest misconception among students was in straight motion. Several causes trigger the emergence of misconceptions in kinematics, where the causes that often arise come from the students themselves, namely, students' preconceptions or initial conceptions, students' abilities, students' cognitive development stages, wrong intuitions, and students' reasoning.  The remediation that was often used to remediate misconceptions was the use of learning models, for instance, generative models.
