Abstract

Agricultural extension is the first gate of agricultural development to empower farmer in district of Landak. However, the result of performance is not as expected, so strategy for enhacing extension  enforcement is needed. This purpose of the research is arrange the strategies to enhace the enforcement of agricultural extension in district of Landak. Research method is a survey with qualitative approach. Respondents of the study is 47 sample person of extension, 13 farmers, 13 person of group farmers, 2 representative of deparment of agricultural in Landak district. The analysis showed that the main strength is the ability to use technology, main weakness is the number of agricultural extension is not ideal, the main opportunity is the development of technology in agriculture, the main threat is the factor of uncertain weather conditions. The strategy priority is the ST (Strength Threats) strategy, which is coaching the extension like study case that related to extension programs.

Abstract

The research of technical efficiency analysis on rice Integrated Crop Management (ICM) in Bali Province had been conducted in three districts (Tabanan, Buleleng and Gianyar) involving 122 farmer samples. Simple random sampling tecnique was used to select farmer samples in two crop seasons during 2011 (wet and dry season). The research was focused to: (1) the level of technical efficiency in rice with ICM approach and (2) to analyze factors influencing its technical efficiency.

Mendong is a product of agriculture as material to make plait handicarf. Mendong is specific comodity because it's not producted in everywhere. Mendong was producted only in spesific region and one of them is Sleman. Mendong production of Sleman region have the best quality from other in Indonesia. Abstract

The research aim is to analyze the impact of import tarrif policy of beef to the social welfare, especially to the breeder as a producer and consumer of beef. Classical Welfare Analysis (CWA) model was used as analyze method using supply and demand analyze. The result shows that the impact of import tarrif policy of beef tends to increase the local beef price. the far impact increased the producarea welfare, on the other hand the consumerae walfare decreased

Abstract

The objective of this research is to know the revenue, cost and income in carrot farm. It wants to know the efficiency of carrot farm in Karanganyar Regency. The method used in this research was analytical descriptive with survey in implementation. The location was selected purposively and it was selected by 5 district which producing carrot that is Jatiyoso, Tawangmangu, Ngargoyoso,Karangpandan and Jenawi. From those district selected village by random. Selection of sample from each village use method “Simple Random Sampling".

Abstract

The development of Agribusiness Sub Terminal aims to increase the added value of farmers, by cutting the long chain of distribution, started from producer farmers, collector traders, large traders to consumers. However, the extension of the chain still occurs, where farmers prefer to sell their agricultural products to intermediary traders than to the Integrated Agribusiness Sub Terminal of  Taniran. The purpose of this research is to find out why farmers prefer to sell agricultural products to intermediary traders than to Integrated Agribusiness Sub Terminal of Taniran. The research approach uses qualitative case study design and informant determination techniques purposively. The results of the research found that there are four reasons why farmers sell their vegetables to intermediary traders, namely: (a) family and social relationship, (b) limited capital, (c) guaranteed marketing of vegetables in a fluctuated price, (d) assistance in the process of sorting, packing and transporting.
