Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis tingkat efisiensi produksi, alokatif dan ekonomis petani jagung terhadap usaha tani jagung lokal, menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi efisiensi produksi. Analisis data yang digunakan berupa analisis fungsi produksi stochastic frontier yang diestimasi  dengan metoda maximum likelihood (MLE) dengan memakai program komputasi frontier versi 4.1 yang dikembangkan oleh Coelli (1996). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat efisiensi ekonomi komoditi jagung lokal di kecamatan Guluk-Guluk Kabupaten Sumenep sebesar 0,676. Efisiensi teknis sebesar 0,29 (belum efisien), sedangkan efisiensi alokatif/harga sebesar 3,108 (sudah efisien). Faktor yang secara nyata mempengaruhi efisiensi ekonomi adalah pengalaman usahatani dan pendidikan formal petani. Faktor yang secara nyata mempengaruhi efisiensi teknis usahatani adalah pengalaman usahatani. Abstract

This research analyzes the system of food expenditure based on the household food security level in Central Java. The household food security levels are classified into four levels, consisting of food-secure, food-less secure, food-vulnerable and food-insecure. The data used are the Susenas data in the form of raw data. The results show that there are significant differences in the proportion of food expenditure among the households of food-secure and food-less secure to the households of food-vulnerable and food-insecure. In each level of household food-secure, household expenditure on instant foods and drinks shows the highest proportion compared to other food groups. The more insecure foods in a household, the higher expenditure proportion for tobacco. In each household group based on the level of food-secure, the households in urban areas have a smaller proportion of rice expenditure compared to the households in rural areas. Based on these results, hopefully the handling priority for the foodsecure problem should be better given to the household groups of food-vulnerable and foodinsecure.

Abstract

Industri makanan memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan nilai tambah hasil pertanian sehingga memilikipengaruh yang signifikan terhadap PDB, penyerapan tenaga kerja, mendukung ketahanan pangan nasional, danpemerataan pembangunan industri di Indonesia. Peluang pemasaran di ritel modern sangat besar dengan adanyaPermendag 70/2013 yang mewajibkan toko ritel modern menjual 80% produk dalam negeri. Salah satu masalahyang dihadapi industri makanan berskala kecil, mikro, menengah untuk masuk ke ritel modern adalah daya saingproduk rendah karena kemasan yang kurang menarik, padahal kemasan berfungsi sebagai alat pemasaran sehinggasering disebut “silent salesman.” Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh atribut visual, atribut verbal,dan fitur kemasan terhadap proses pengambilan keputusan pembelian konsumen, yakni persepsi konsumen,pencarian informasi, evaluasi pemilihan alternatif dan perilaku setelah pembelian. Penelitian dilakukan denganmetode survey menggunakan teknik convenience sampling terhadap 400 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkanbahwa atribut visual seperti warna dan ukuran; atribut verbal seperti nama produk, informasi tanggal kedaluarsa,klaim halal, klaim nutrisi, dan klaim BPOM; dan komponen fitur kemasan yang ergonomis dan simpel berpengaruhbesar terhadap semua tahapan proses pengambilan keputusan pembelian.Kata Kunci: atribut kemasan, alat pemasaran, perilaku konsumen, keputusan pembelian, ritel

Abstract

Efforts to increase productivity of food crops, especially rice by using technology and innovation has been facing problems such as structure of the control and management of agricultural resources. This study aimed to identify the factors of farmer’s structural and managerial characteristics that affect paddy farming efficiency in Sleman. Survey conducted on wetland rice farmers in rural and sub urban areas that represent the condition of the structural and manjerial characteristics that  owned by farmers in Sleman. Analysis of stochastic frontier production function with the inclusion of the inefficiency effects model was conducted to identify determinants of production and the factors that affect the efficiency of farming. The result showed that the structural characteristics that influence the rice farming efficiency are the water irrigation source distance and the farm location, while the managerial characteristics factors are age, income outside the farm, participation in a group, experience and access to credit.

Abstract

Tourist village as a new trend of tourism that has been growing rapidly in Yogyakarta. Based on attractiveness, accessibility, facilities, community empowerment, marketing and promotion, institutional, and human resources, tourist villages are devided into growing, developing and developed categories. Wetland rice agrotourism offers attractions in tourist village that leads to increasing income of the perpetrators (main actors, supporting actors, and managers). This descriptive research aimed to compare agro-tourism perpetrators’s income contribution to household income in various categories of tourist village in Yogyakarta. This research was purposively conducted in Gabugan, Pancoh and Pentingsari Village as representation of grow, developed, and advanced tourism villages. The result depicted that the contribution of wetland rice agrotourism to household income of all agro-tourism actors was low in all tourism village categories. This indicates that the wetland rice agro-tourism has not contributed significantly in supporting the domestic economy of the perpetrators. The results of the study show that the advanced tourism villages have a higher contribution of income compared to developing and growing tourism villages.

Abstract

Research on technical efficiency of organic rice farming was conducted in Tampang Tua Vallage, Pematang Sawa District,Tanggamus Regency, Lampung Province. by using the respondents were 60 people taken by the census of the entire organic rice farmers. The aim of this research to analyze technical efficiency, factors influencing technical efficiency, and source of technical inefficiency of rainfed farm organic rice. Technical efficiency is measured by using frontier production function and is istimated using MLE method with Frontier 4.1c computer program. Estimation source of technical inefficiency applies linear regression model that approach simultaneously using frontier production function. The research result indicates that most variables are significant and have expected signs, except for organik solid feltilizer has not significant. The research olso find that the level of technical efficiency varies from 0.423 to 0.999 with the average of 836. Furthermore, variables of farmers education levels, farm organic rice experience, age of the farmers, frekuency of farmers agricultural extentions, and farmer perception on climate change are influencing to reduce technical inefficiency. Abstract

This research was conducted in the District of Mempawah, which is in the region of West Kalimantan and borders with neighboring countries (Malaysia), which of course has special characteristics, especially from the aspect of international trade, so that the comparative advantage of paddy associated with aspects of international trade, need to be examined. This study used a survey method, with 183 sample, where the number of samples of each pattern of agro-ecosystem isirrigation pattern has 55 samples, tidal patterns has 42 samples, rainfedpatterns has46samples and dry land patterns has 40 samples. The method of analysis in this study used the concept of DRC (Domestic Resource Cost). The results showed comparative advantage as indicated by the average value of the DRC is Rp 2,429, - This value indicates that the cost of domestic resources for the value to produce rice, can save foreign exchange worth US $ 1. DRCR average of 0, 24 which means rice farming has a comparative advantage (<1). Irrigation schemes have the highest levels of comparative advantage and the dry land pattern has the lowest level of comparative advantage. DRCR shows that rice is still cheaper economically to be produced in the country compared with imports from other countries. The implications of this conclusion is that the spur policy (increase) in rice production in the District of Mempawah still favorable compared to the expense of foreign exchange to import the commodity from other countries.
