Abstract

In the last decade, natural fiber composite with thermoplastic and thermoset matrix has been applied by various industrial sectors in different parts of the world. Natural fibers such as kenaf, hemp, jute, and sisal provide various benefits such as reduction in the total product cost, reducing the dependence of products derived from petroleum, and can be recycled. This paper describes the idea of the kind and nature of green materials, the fiber use, method of manufacturing composite and green composite board manufacturing, and applications. Green composites emerging as a realistic alternative as a substitute for glass fiber reinforced composites and environmentally friendly, because the green composites from renewable resources, and material costs can be reduced on a large scale. The conclusion of this paper that the green composite is an important guide for producers of agricultural products, agricultural institutions, automotive companies, composite producers and material scientists. All dedicated to introducing environmentally friendly materials, production methods and applications.

Abstract

Pejagoan district is an outskirt near the central administration of Kebumen Regency. This position causes some people prefer to go to city for schooling. This condition becomes one of the factors for decreasing number of students that apply to Pejagoan district. Many schools lacks of students. Kebumen Regency education department has a plan to reduce some schools that do not fulfill the criteria of minimum number of students. Determining ideal location and number of schools has to be appropriate in order to does not cause problems in the future. In this study, the determining of location and the number of school in Pejagoan district are conducted by identifying the location and the distance of students’ house to the location of current elementary schools that considered as candidate locations. The school locations and optimum number of school are determined by using three models, p-center, p-median, and maximal covering model. These are conducted to identify the performance of each model and compare all of them. The calculation result concluded that p-median model is the most appropriate model to solve the problem. The optimum number of school is 26 and the average distance of students to the nearest school is 215.98 meters with deviation standard 138.08 meters, and the furthest distance is 1229.3 meters.

Abstract

Wireless Internet Media is wireless internet access which marks that the technology has become more advanced. Nowadays, mobile phones are not only used for communication but, can also accessing internet. Moreover, the discovery of the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) enables a mobile phone (mobile device) to access a lot of information, one of which is information about the Digital Library (Digilib). Digilib are inseparable part of the students, because it provides a collection of informations that can be used by the students as a reference to support lectures in particular and education in general. Therefore, a student or those who come from the education world inevitably will use this Digilib services. Many Digilibs are supported by web-based services. However, not all users can access Digilib easily because of limited personal internet access, so this thesis gives a solution to build Digilib applications based on Wireless Application Protocol (WAP-based). The result of this research is to produce a design of Digilib with a variety of features, such as a detailed book review, book search, and a link to download the books. This application was built using the Wireless Markup Language (WML) as programming language and PHP using MySQL database.

Abstract

PT. Bank XYZ is one of a growing bank in Indonesia. At the branch level and business unit, PT. Bank XYZ has been using the financial report or financial statements as a KPI (Key Performance Indicators) in order to conducting performance measurement. Beside the financial report, steps needed to survive the competition and developments in the banking world is equipped with an evaluation of service levels to customers and performance measurement in the company externally. At the external level, performance measurement is considered important because it can figure out how to deal with customers and commitment to listening to customers in the long term market success. This study aims to measure the performance of PT. Bank XYZ so that consistency of performance can be monitored. To know this, carried out using criteria Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award 2009-2010. One of the selected categories, namely customer focus category. In the measurement of customer focus category is divided into two parts, namely, measurement of performance-related managerial and performance measurement related to the consumer (customer). Measurements relating to Managerial done with interviews and discussions with the leaders (branch manager) PT. Bank XYZ, while associated with consumer (customer) is done by measuring customer satisfaction using a questionnaire based on five dimensions of SERVQUAL. Number of samples to be used as a customer satisfaction questionnaire in this study of 100 respondents who were trading in PT. Bank XYZ. From the survey results revealed that the quality of service PT. Bank XYZ is based on five dimensions of SERVQUAL is expressed either as the average interval between the range 3.4 to 4.19. However, when viewed from the level of customer satisfaction is based on the interests of performance, found that of the five dimensions of quality of existing services, the customer is not satisfied but the approach is quite satisfied with the service at the PT. Bank XYZfor satisfaction scores showed a minus (-). MBNQA criteria for scoring the results of customer focus category has score 54 of the total score of 85 points. Item get customer engagement score of 28, while the voice of the customer items to score 26. These results indicate a good first step in developing a performance measurement in the other six MBNQA criteria.

Abstract

This research designed of documentation management system laboratory for Mechatronics Laboratory based on SNI ISO/IEC 17025:2008 refers to documentation management system laboratory in UPT Integrated Laboratory. Mechatronics laboratory is expanding the scope of the UPT Integrated Laboratory. Design of documentation management system laboratory required to obtain accreditation from KAN. Documents were designed consisting of level 1 Quality Guidelines, level 2 Procedures, level 3 Work Instrictions, and level 4 Forms. Design of the documents were done with five stages document requirements identification, business process identification, analysis the availability of the necessary documents, designing documents, and documents verification. From the stages, are known that 10 documents level 1 need adjustments, 2 documents level 3 and 11 documents level 4 need to be designed. On documents verification, it is known that there are documents that requires improvements in the format and content. If Mechatronics Laboratory develop, then required adjustments to the documents

Abstract

The aim this research is; 1) to know the influence of music on the ability of mathematics student; 2 ) to know the type of music is more significant impact on the ability of mathematics. A kind of experiment the design chosen is the design of experiment single-factor experiment. Respondents in this research is a student of industrial engineering university of surakarta eleven march 2013. The experiments in this research are 20 students with twice replication the answer given by the writers math problem. Variable ability mathematics is measured in terms of the answer. During the experiment four of kind music compare with without music. The result of this peper Music increase math ability of student.

Abstract

This article explain about a performance measurement research in a graphic arts industry using Performance Prism method. The previous performance measurement system in that company has not been able to represent the performance of the organization. The performance prism method is used because this method complete the exiting methods. The stakeholder in CV. Cendana Offset consists of customers, investors or owners, communities, governments, employees, and suppliers. The company’s system contains 10 KPI performance with 2 KPI of customers, 2 KPI of employees, 2 KPI of investor/owner, 2 KPI of suppliers, and 2 KPI of government. Based on the result, there is the fundamental problems in special services for customers. Based on the problem that have been discovered, this article propose several option for improvement. One of them is by providing great discounts on certain periods and improving the print quality through increasing the company resources (i.e. operator’s skill and production machines).

Abstract

TELKOM always make an effort to fulfill the society need upon products and services of fixed phon. The effort of TELKOM such as repair the old network (existing) and add the new network in certain area that have high potency of demand, such as in Gentan, Purbayan, Colomadu, Jaten and Kaliyoso. Those reparation and increament of the network give chances to customer of TELKOM who want to have a new installation of fixed phone (PSB). Process of PSB fixed phone in existing area is different with new network area. In new network area, TELKOM not yet had standard business process, and this is stimulate some problems, such as delayed activation, untidy network, lack of access of network and escalation (fatal cancel).Evaluation and improvement of business process are required in order to prevent and to reduce some problems. Evaluation and improvement of business process are conducted using the method of Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA). Based on the result of FTA and MBNQA, there is improvement on business process new installation (PSB) of fixed phone in new network area by adding Drop Wire withdrawl in early stage.

Abstract

To improve the performance of human resources effectively and efficiently, there needs a performance assessment system to benchmarks of success in human resource development. The performance assessment system should be able to assess the ability of employees to carry out their tasks and responsibilities and became the basis of reward and punishment system. Performance assessment system of employee in Banaran 9 Hotel & Resort is a form of evaluation work. The performance assessment only assess aspects of the work, work attitudes and job skills. However, it is still subjective of assessment system. The manager could assess the work of each employee based on like and dislike because there are no clear indicators of performance assessment. On the other hand, the level of turnover Banaran 9 Hotel & Resort is quite high. This research objective is to develop an objective system of performance assessment to support the achievement of corporate goals. The method used in this research is fuzzy AHP and fuzzy logic. The results showed the highest rank earned by the employees with the code E26, which means that the employee is eligible to be promoted or given rewards according to his performance and achievements

Abstract

One of Unit Pelaksana Teknis Pemberdayaan Masyarakat, Perempuan, dan Keluarga Berencana (UPT BAPERMASPER dan KB) Region XV District of Mijen’s duty is to lead, plan, do, evaluate, and report the data management in service, management, and control of family planning programs and the empowerment of women in the district. The inadequate number offield officers (PLKB) often become spectacle in collecting and reporting the data KB. Family Planning Data Information System (SIDAK) is developed in order to support the mentioned task to make it easier to report, store, and manage the data. Additionally, SIDAK is equipped with a data analysis feature with association mining technique using SQL-Based FP-Growth algorithm. This algorithm analyze the data KB and create a relation (association rule) between the attributes used for analysis; the wive’s age, the highest education achieved by the couple, the number of children, the welfare level, and the contraception method. The research analysis of 302 dataKBs resulted in maximum support value of 1.66%, maximum confidence value of 100%, and maximum lift ratio of 60.24.
