Abstract

Most of the technology from universities (PT) related to technological innovation often fails to enter the market. This problem then becomes the basis and object of improvement in technology-based entrepreneurial practices (technopreneurs). Learning is carried out through Independence Learning Campus Independence (MBKM) which converts courses according to training subjects in collaboration with PUI UNS and BPPT. This practice is a model of participatory and collaborative learning, in which students are directly involved in solving existing case studies and act as perpetrators of technology commercialization and become technopreneurs. Students are initially given training materials in accordance with the curriculum and direct learning from existing tenants. As a result, through this learning process, students can design business process proposals that exist in tenants. The success of this learning method was assessed based on technopreneur analysis from students in answering problems faced by tenants based on aspects of product technology innovation, product development, business development, and its implementation at BMC. One of the tenants who is the object of the case study in this study is the start-up PT. EKM who have problems with the commercialization of technology in the case of konverter kit products.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Higher education institutions often face a number of challenges in managing data and reporting information effectively, such as limited availability and distribution of information. This also happened in the Industrial Engineering Study Program at Sebelas Maret University (PSTI UNS). PSTI UNS needs a performance monitoring platform for study programs in the field of student and graduate affairs to support study program management and quality assurance activities. The information system currently provided by UNS is not yet able to complete PSTI's needs for monitoring and quality assurance functions at the study program level. A solution that has been proven to be able to solve similar problems is through the use of an information dashboard or dashboard. The unavailability of dashboards and PSTI's urgent need for study program performance monitoring activities led this research to design a dashboard in accordance with PSTI's needs and ensure that the design developed could be used immediately. To ensure the success of the design, this research uses a user-centric method in the design process and heuristic usability testing as an evaluation stage. This research produced a dashboard design, data filling template, and a guidebook that was used to make dashboard use easier. The successfully designed dashboard has more complete study program level information from the information system provided by UNS and has succeeded in meeting the needs of PSTI users with a user satisfaction level of 7.6. Based on the level of implementation readiness, this dashboard scored 86.83% for its usability test with minor problems. The root of the problem identified has been found and repaired.

Abstract

Kemuning Sky Hills is a natural tourist attraction in Karanganyar Regency that offers various extreme rides, including a glass bridge, a sky swing, a flying chair, and a flying bicycle. Although it attracts tourists, the safety risks associated with these rides have not been optimally managed. This study aims to assess safety risks using the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Determination of Control (HIRADC) and provide a deeper understanding of the importance of safety risk analysis in extreme tourism destinations. The risk assessment is based on the Australian Standard HB 205-2004 reference. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews with officers and visitors, and field documentation. The results showed that several potential hazards fall into the High Risk to Extreme Risk categories. There are 10 risks in the High Risk category and 4 risks in the Extreme Risk category. The most extreme risks identified include overloading due to visitor density, gaps in the fence on the Glass Bridge, broken ropes on the Sky Swing, and the threat of landslides in the tourist area. Proposed controls include installing safety nets, rope guides, and warning signs, establishing a structured maintenance schedule, and providing education. This study concludes that safety management at Kemuning Sky Hills should be strengthened by implementing an integrated, structured safety management system that includes standardized operational procedures, routine risk assessments, clear emergency response mechanisms, and continuous staff training to ensure a consistently safe and sustainable tourist environment.
