Abstract

To increase the production of simplicia, has been designed and fabricated rhizome cutting tools with 5 parallel blades. Based on testing, there were still weaknesses known in the knife-blade thus inhibiting the cutting process. At the beginning of the research showed that the bottleneck caused by the cutting blade is too thick to be a narrow gap between the blade and the friction becomes large rhizome pieces. Thinning of the blade is not necessarily done because it will weaken the blades. This research aims to provide design solutions that is able to overcome a problem of the blade is. To obtain a solution to the existing contradiction problems, TRIZ method was used. The first step taken is identification the problem include the study of literature and direct observations of turmeric rhizome cutting tools. Then followed by determining technical requirements of design, resolve problems that occur contradiction, the last is preparation of design concept and the determination of the design specifications. The results of this research is produce design concept and resolve most issues contradictions mainly on cutting blades. By using TRIZ method, the design of cutting blades not occurring deflection, because the shape of blade was thin and there was additional features that serve to regulate the tension of cutting blades.

Abstract

Larissa Skin Care & Hair Treatment is one of service industry serving treatment of skin and hair which have the concept of ”Back to Nature”. by the using number of the same service industry in Surakarta and the awareness of costumers toward how important the quality is beauty clinique in Surakarta have to stunggle order to be able to give service in accordance with costumers needs and desines. To solve these challenges, research was done to observe ang to know what is exactly desires and needs of costumers in beauty clinique Larissa Surakarta. It used Servqual method is used to calculate the discrepancy between costumers preception and their hope. Quality Function Deployment is used as mean to evaluate quality of service given to costumers by arranging programs though house of quality. By combining those two methods of Quality Function Deployment method and Servqual method, hopefully it would improve performance better. The research resulted 3 variables which have positive gap so it could be said thet it had fulfilled the level of costumers desire. While the variables that couldn’t the fulfilled yet were focused on variables which have negative gap. Based on the house of quality, 5 variables werw choosed in priority scale to improve the quality of service, they are houlding towards costumers given by kapters, beautician, and doctors. beauty equipment used, recovery or the result of using Larissa treatment, how Larissa solve the probles or complains from costumers, and friendliness of staffs and doctors toward costumers.

Abstract

PT Kusumahadi Santosa is a company engaged in manufacturing, the textile industry. One of the major processes that occurs within the company is printing process where types of chemicals that are used are more than 250 different types. However, in conducting the management of chemical inventories, the company still use the manual process which has not been computerized. As a result, there are some problem occurs, such as miscalculation of 5%-30% in the process of recording the amount of chemicals, process of discharging chemicals not recorded, control and planning of chemical inventories is not optimum that will indirectly result in losses company. Therefore, it is necessary to design information system management inventory for controlling chemical inventories. Information system management is designed in the form of web applications and integrated with continuous review inventory model. In addition, the system is equipped with functional and non-functional requirements to fix of the previous system. By adopting the proposed information systems management, the process management of chemicals can be managed more effectively and efficiently. The proposed information system which integrated the system with continuous review inventory model can be adopted by the company for managing the inventories and reducing the inventory cost.

Abstract

Plan acceptance of sampel with method of Military Standard 105E is prosedure which used in decision making to product yielded by company, background of this method him is to accommodate accomplishment of producer ekspektasi and consumer in inspection of[is quality of product with acceptance mechanism or deduction of lot. Pursuant to from amount of sampel proposals, existence of improvement of percentage of probability for normal inspection at quality of I mount 24% and quality of II mount 10%, tight inspection at quality of I mount 26% and quality of II mount 12%, diffuse inspection at quality of I mount 23% and quality of II mount 4%. While SOP proposal have the character of independent to the each category so that deduction of lot earn happened at every category not requiring accumulation of amount of found defect as SOP early.

Abstract

Experiment use Taguchi method, with quality characteristic is shear strength at brazing joint based on standard examination of AWS C3.2M/C3.2:2001, while anticipated factor can improve shear strength is temperature, time held up and refrigeration method at heat treatment process. Data processing use two analysis to determine optimal level setting, consist of analysis of mean and analysis of signal to noise ratio, then conducted confirmation experiment to test value of factor level setting predicted at optimal condition.

Abstract

From the supply chain management (SCM) perspective, the low level of information accessibility to rice commodities availability has been one of the major postharvest distribution-related problems. This issue potentially cause delay in delivery, product scarcity and eventually financial loss for stakeholders. Previous studies concerned more with web and mobile applications for distribution of production means applicable for pre-harvest stage. This study focuses on the development of modest web and mobile SCM applications for distribution of post-harvest rice commodities. The characteristics of these applications are capable of addressing problems faced by those involved in such product delivery system. Web application was designed using Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) through Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) towards a service at Uniform Resource Locator (URL). Mobile application was designed using Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME) to build a smart client loaded onto handphone. Comparison of system simulation on sofware requirement specification (SRS), use case diagram was presented in tabular form enabling users for need adjustment. Output of this research included user interface model and application prototype introduced to client and user to obtain feedback. The tabular SRS measure using use case showed on average a degree of appropriateness of 92%. User satisfaction level averaged 4.345 (out of 5) suggesting a good performance of the designed applications. Utilizing internet and handphone technology, the application models have fulfilled theoretical requirements and have adequately responded problems relating to the poor information accessibility in an SCM-based, postharvest rice distribution system, hence are worthy of being called as a modest web and mobile SCM.

Abstract

Enterprise uses ERP systems with considering four rationales namely technology, competitive, business process, and strategic. Evolution of ERP: 1960’s (Inventory Control), 1970’s (MRP-Material Requirement Planning), 1980’s (MRP II–Manufacturing Resources Planning), Mid 1990’s (ERP– Enterprise Resource Planning), 2000 onwards (ERP II–Collaborative Commerce). ERP systems is a software solution that addresses the enterprise needs. It takes the process view of an organization to meet the organizational goals and tightly integrates all functions in that organization. The frequently module in ERP used by companies is financial and accounting. ERP solutions could be developed by using internal resources, buy, and using external resources. Measurement of ERP project considers on intangible factors, hidden outcomes and the changing nature ofinformation technology.

Abstract

Penggunaan serat alam sangat potensial untuk menggantikan peran serat sintetis sebagai bahan komposit. Limbah kertas dan serabut kelapa merupakan serat alam yang keberadaannya melimpah di alam. Seraterat tersebut berpotensi untuk dijadikan komposit serap bunyi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh faktor jenis kertas, kerapatan dan persentase perekat terhadap kekuatan bending komposit panel serap bunyi. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua jenis kertas yaitu HVS dan koran, variasi kerapatan yang diuji yaitu 3:1, 4:1 dan 5:1, persentase perekat (PVAc) yaitu 2.5%, 5% dan 7.5%. Metode pengolahan data menggunakan teknik factorial completely randomized design experiment. Pengujian kekuatan bending menggunakan alat Universal Testing Machine dengan metode three point bending. Sedangkan pengujian kemampuan serap bunyi menggunakan metode tabung impedansi yang diujikan untuk spesimen dengan nilai bending tertinggi. Hasil eksperimen diperoleh bahwa masing-masing faktor tersebut berpengaruh terhadap kekuatan bending komposit panel serap bunyi, dengan nilai bending tertinggi sebesar 35,297 kgf/cm2 untuk komposit berbahan dasar kertas HVS dengan kerapatan 5:1 dan persentase perekat 7.5%. Nilai tersebut telah memenuhi standar minimal kekuatan bending papan serat menurut SNI 01-4449-2006. Spesimen tersebut memiliki koefisien serap bunyi sebesar 0.25 pada frekuensi acuan (500Hz) dan telah memenuhi standar minimal koefisien serap bunyi berdasar ISO 11654:1997.

Abstract

The successful completion of project requires effective management of the multiple barriers faced by the parties involved. The basic concept of project success is ambiguous because of the varying perceptions of the different parties involved in the construction and the owner, architects,contractors and surveyors as well as experts. This study aims to identify the criteria for project success from the desire of stakeholders involved and the achievement of goals of the project. Definition of success is often changed from one project to another. It also depends on your point of view different from the individuals involved and the objectives to be achieved and associated with several elements such as technical, financial,educational, social and professional issues.

Abstract

Batik Komar is one of a famous Batik’s Small Industries in West Java. As a Small Industries, Batik Komar has to survive in the competitive. One mission of batik Komar is to make Batik knowing in the world. To meet that mission, Batik Komar has to compose their strategy specially in technology strategy. This research aim is to develop technology strategy using technometric model. By using technometric model, the contribution of each technological component can be conducted as complement to overcome weakness of performance assessment at this time. From the research component with the highest contribution intensity is humanware, and then orgaware, infoware and technoware. The technology contribution coefficient value (TCC) of Batik Komar is medium. It show that Batik Komar has enough technology contribution.
