Abstract

Frequent floods in Indonesia cause many problems, therefore it is necessary to create devices with the implementation of Raspberry Pi-based IoT Gateways in the LoRa communication system. The gateway has a function as a performance informer and makes it easy to access the exchange of information data and the space to store a lot of data received from the node. To maximize the implementation, a Gateway was designed consisting of Raspberry Pi 3 B+, ESP-32, and LoRa 433 MHz. This research uses the Research and Development method. The data obtained includes how the Gateway works which will be displayed on the Raspberry Pi screen properly, monitoring the state of the water using Thinger io. Data were obtained from the Gateway and data transmission system from Gateway to Client as much as 42 times with an RSSI value of -53.3 dBm in very good condition at a distance of 1.54 km with a wajanbolic antenna and a very poor RSSI of -91.4 dBm at a distance of 8.32 km without a wajanbolic antenna. A poor RSSI value can cause an error. The results obtained from the experiments in the study showed that the implementation of Raspberry Pi-based IoT Gateways in the LoRa communication system on flood detection worked well.

Abstract

Damage to the 20 kV cubicle at PLN Branch Lahat often occurs because the overheater causes considerable losses. Insulation failure at the corroded cubicle terminal results in a decrease in heat production and heater resistance. So there is a mall function (saturated) and a short circuit. Therefore, this study aims to design a prototype to maintain temperature and humidity conditions in a 20 kV cell using Proportional Integral Derivatives (PID) and LabVIEW. Set the Kp, Kd, and Ki parameters, namely proportional, derivative, and integral constants, so that the desired temperature can be maintained to prevent corrosion. The parameter value was obtained at the set point of 40 °C by a value of Kp is 1, Ki is 0.1, and Kd is 0.05, resulting in a rise time of 188 s, a peak time of 216 s, stabilization of 288 s, and a steady-state error of 0.30%. In addition, the setpoint is 43°C, the rise time is 272 s, the peak time is 311 s, the settling time is 377 s, and the steady-state error is 0.60%. Moreover, the 45°C setpoint has a rise time of 338 s, a peak time of 380 s, a settling time of 448 s, and a steady-state error of 0.93%. These results indicate a reasonably good prototype performance.

Abstract

Electric power system voltage quality standards need to be maintained within the limits of applicable quality standards (-10% and +5%). Timor's electricity system in the working area of PT. PLN (Persero) UIW East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) experienced a voltage drop on the 70 kV transmission line, this was caused by the length of the line and the load and the plant was only concentrated on the West side (Kupang). Installing capacitors with the right location and value can increase the power factor as well as increase the system voltage. The Digsilent Powerfactory application-based loadflow analysis method is used to determine the selection of the most optimal location for capacitor placement with the lowest voltage drop indicator. To get the optimum value for the capacitor installation option at one Substation (GI), the lowest voltage drop of 1.66 kV at GI Atambua was obtained. As for the option of laying capacitors in two GIs simultaneously, the lowest voltage drop result of 1.55 kV was obtained by installing capacitors at GI Atambua & Nonohonis.

Abstract

Scraper cake tools based on the Internet of Things (IoT) are designed to improve efficiency and control in the cake production process.  The use of IoT technology in scraper cake tools is projected to give further benefits in terms of operational data collecting, real-time analysis, and remote control. The MIT application, which can be accessed via an Android-based smartphone, is used to control the Scraper cake tool. This Cake Scraper tool uses a dc motor as a machine rotating drive, making the cake cream smoothing operation easier and more efficient. Users interact with the program by modifying the motor speed as well as the x and y axis sides. The results demonstrated that an IoT-based cake scraper equipment improves cake production efficiency by decreasing human error and increasing consistency in flattening cake cream. The implementation of IoT technology in scraper cake tools also improves the collection of operational data for advanced analysis, production planning, and preventive maintenance.

Abstract

The goal of this research is to monitor the humidity and temperature conditions in the production facilities of oyster mushrooms using the Long Range data transmission and the Node MCU Esp32 microcontroller. The research utilizes a Long Range transmitter and receiver, which are placed at varying distances respectively, to determine the delay that the receiver receives. Based on the delay tests conducted at various distances, such as 200m, 400m, 600m, 800m, and 1km, this technology can provide a range of up to 600m.

Abstract

In order to improve the assembled set top box's signal reception sensitivity and compare the signal reception quality with set top boxes from the Sharp, D'Color, and HDTV brands, this study will design a set top box with an LNA on the receiver side. Using a Spectrum Analyzer tool to view the RSSI (Receive Signal Strength Indicator) value of each set top box as a signal reception quality parameter, data from each set top box used in four different locations in Palembang City—Kenten, Plaju, Kamboja, and Bukit—were collected for this study. The assembled set top box's RSSI value was higher than that of other set top boxes, which indicated that its signal reception quality was better to that of other set top boxes, according to the measurement results at four research locations. This indicates that the LNA applied to the built set top box device can improve the sensitivity of the reception quality of the signal received. In comparison to other areas, Kamboja has the best signal reception because it is nearest to the TV transmitter tower.

Abstract

The fraudulent act of mixing pork with beef often causes concern for consumers in Indonesia about the authenticity of the meat products purchased. This study used the YOLO algorithm to classify pork and beef images to address the problem. The method used in this study was first a dataset of pork and beef images collected and labeled with information about the type of meat. After passing through pre-processing, the YOLOv5 algorithm is trained and validated using the dataset. The evaluation results showed excellent performance with an average precision level of 97.9%, 100% recall, and 97.2% mAP50-95 on validation data. When tested, the algorithm was able to recognize and distinguish meat types with varying confidence levels, although some predictions had low confidence levels that required improved performance. The YOLO algorithm succeeded in obtaining an effective model in detecting and classifying objects on meat images, especially in the identification of beef and pork.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to utilize the C4.5 algorithm in data mining to classify child certificates that are registered and unregistered. Additionally, decision trees will be employed to determine the gain associated with each attribute. The implementation of the C4.5 algorithm will be facilitated by the utilization of RapidMiner 9.5 software. The initial step in the research process is gathering aggregate data pertaining to the recipients of deeds in Office of Population and Civil Registry Palembang City throughout the time frame of 2021 to 2023. Subsequently, the data is subjected to analysis with the use of Microsoft Excel and RapidMiner 9.5 in order to ascertain the entropy value, gain value, and decision tree. The findings indicated that a total of 1,606 individuals were identified as True Positive (TP), representing Palembang City residents who had successfully registered at Office of Population and Civil Registry Palembang City. Additionally, there were 397 records classified as False Negative (FN), indicating the number of individuals who have yet to register themselves on the birth certificate of Office of Population and Civil Registry Palembang City.

Abstract

This research aims to implement the LoRa (Long Range) protocol with the SX1278 transceiver module and use tree topology to build an effective air quality monitoring system and save energy. To detect CO levels, the MQ7 sensor is used, and the MQ135 sensor is used to detect CO2 levels. It can be concluded that the results of RSSI measurements and delay if the longer the distance tested, the RSSI value will be smaller (weaker) and the delay longer. SNR measurement results depend on the conditions of the test site, that the more noise, the smaller (worse) SNR value will be obtained. For CO and CO2 values, a reading is obtained on the sensor that a calibration process is needed in the program so that the sensor reading value is more accurate.
