Abstract

This research examined compliance in early childhood with an age range between 5-6 years in TK X Bangkalan. Compliance is a behavior that early children need to have. Compliance is necessary for children to follow the rules set. The rules can be different in school settings and home settings, but there are several forms of rules that are almost the same in both settings. Rules are set by teachers and parents so that children can be more disciplined and independent. Compliance cannot be achieved instantly in shaping early childhood behavior, but it requires a process. This research aimed to see compliance reflected through concrete behavior in two settings and to see what kind of behavior children do when obeying the rules. The results of this research showed  that early childhood compliance formed behaviors at school and at home, such as taking off shoes, putting bags in place, greeting teachers and parents. This research used a quantitative research approach with descriptive research type. Determination of population and sample were done by purposive sampling, namely TK YKK1 Kab. Bangkalan with a total of 30  respondents of children. Data analysis was performed using SPSS and the results were obtained that child compliance in home and school settings had a medium category. The medium category means that the child has an obedient attitude towards the rules at home or school but there are several aspects, the child violates the rules applied by the school and home environment.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) to develop a classroom guide book for early childhood education (ECE)  teachers that provides alternative models of class setting and seating management in the classroom, (2) to determine the feasibility of developing a classroom guide book for ECE teachers. This study used research and development method by adapting the Borg Gall. The subject in this study were ECE teachers from 7 schools in West Surabaya. Data collection techniques used were interviews, questionnaires, and observations. The research subjects in the initial research were 15 teachers, and operational research was 30 teachers. The result of this research is the development of a class setting guidebook for ECE teachers. From the product trial results, the results of the development are feasible to be used to guide teachers in choosing alternative class settings that will be used in their classrooms by 83%. Based on the initial trial scores, main trials and operational field trials (3,6) from a scale of 1-4, the class setting manual is effective for increasing teacher knowledge about the types of learning models, class settings and seating arrangements in the classroom based on interviews have been done. So it can be concluded that the guidelines for structuring children's sitting in class are effectively used and the teacher has the right reference.

Abstract

This research is to find out how to improve the performance of RA teachers who excel in Yogyakarta so that it is the key to its success. This research is a qualitative research through a psychological approach that is carried out directly to the object under study, to obtain data relating to aspects of teacher performance so that the performance improvement is an example for other teachers. Data collection methods using interviews, documentation, and observation. The results revealed that to improve the performance of outstanding RA teachers through 6 (six) steps undertaken by outstanding RA teachers, namely: 1) Knowing there are still shortcomings in performance, 2) Knowing weaknesses and shortcomings in the seriousness of teaching, 3) Identifying what becomes causes of deficiency especially those related to performance itself, 4) Develop a performance plan that is presented, 5) Assessing the problem has been resolved or not (problem solving), 6) Starting from the beginning again, if needed and needed again.

Abstract

Branches of mathematics introduced by early childhood include: counting, numerating, geometry, measuring, estimating, patterns, and statistics. Unfortunately, the activity of introducing patterns in Early Age Education (PAUD) institutions still uses traditional media. The introduction of patterns that are part of the mathematical concepts at PAUD institutions must keep abreast of the times. The current development is in the digital era that allows all activities carried out by children integrated with digital media. The current digital era demands all components of society to be aware of digital literacy, including early childhood (AUD). This research is important to do, because of the lack of pattern recognition media for children, so that the results of Patt_art media development will be useful as an alternative media pattern recognition. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of digital literacy-based Patt_art media in introducing mathematical abilities of early childhood. The research method used experimental research methods. RA NU Matholibul Ulum 01 became the experimental group and RA NU Matholibul Ulum 02 became the control group. Data collection techniques to be performed used observation techniques and oral tests. Data analysis techniques used paired sample t test. The results show that: 1) the learning outcomes of the experimental group were higher than the control group; and 2) Patt_Art media is more effective than conventional media.

Abstract

In general, the purpose of teaching young learners is to develop students’ physical aspects, intelligence, social-emotions, personality, language and communicative competence. Addressing the challenge of the 4.0 Industrial age, teachers of young learners need to know well the characteristics of millennial generation and must be adaptive to accommodate the growth of technology to support learning process. Teachers need to support young learners’ witn learning process held in a meaningful and interesting way stimulating the ability of young learners to think critically and creatively. Besides, learning process accommodating rich content of media and opportunities for interaction/ discussion with teachers and peers prepare both, high achievers and low achieversfor lifelong learning. In simple words, meaningful and interesting learning in this study covers some principles as follows; (1) accommodating comprehensible input; (2) accommodating active - collaborative learning, and (3) adopting and adapting online learning sites for young learners. Through this conditioning learning atmosphere, students' affective filters becomes lower and their learning process becomes more effective.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze the development of early childhood creativity through yoga asanaat PAUD Bali Public School Denpasar. Research uses qualitative case studies. Research data is taken through observations, in-depth interviews and documentation studies. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant increase in the creativity of the students' imagination, while attending yoga asana activities packed in the form of games and also storytelling. Increased creativity can be seen after the child performs regular yoga asana for three up to six months. This can be seen from children's activities during learning activities both inside and outside the classroom.
