The journal is pursues the academic exploration on Islamic education discourses in Southeast Asian schools, colleges, universities, and other Islamic educational institutions such as pesantrens (Islamic boarding schools). The journal promotes empirical research and theory relevant to Islamic affiliated educational institutions. The topics of the journal cover the micro, meso, and macro levels of Islamic education such as the philosophy of Islamic education, Islamic school leadership, and the politics of Islamic education. The journal is published twice a year in June and December. It was firstly published in 2013 (printed edition). Since Vol. 3, Issue 2 (December 2015), it has migrated gradually to an electronic journal system (Open Access). It is now a fully online journal, and since Vol. 8, No. 2 (December 2019) it only accepts manuscript submissions written in English or Arabic.

Abstract

The Qur'an asserts that the purpose of human creation is to serve (al-Ibadah) to Allah. Serving in this case includes the meaning of submission, helplessness, weakness, servitude, obedience and obedience of man to the law of God in living life on earth, whether ritual worship concerning vertical relationship (habl min Allah) and social worship concerning horizontal (hablun min al -Nas). The purpose of human creation is basically the ultimate goal of Islamic education. In order to achieve the goal of human creation as well as the goals of Islamic education above, the setting of objectives, content and teaching materials, learning strategies and evaluation of Islamic education becomes very important to do. Setting objectives may include the arrangement of the herarchical side of the broadest goal to the most narrow goals and objective categories of spiritual, social, knowledge and skill objectives. While the content setting can cover the breadth and depth of material including the development of teaching materials that support. Strategy settings include various models, approaches, strategies, methods, techniques and learning experiences that facilitate the delivery of content and teaching materials to achieve goals. Furthermore, the assessment arrangement includes various types of penilian either in the form of assessment that besifat qualitative or quantitative or assessment that is test or non test.

Abstract

This study departs from the low religious character of learners is one of the problems that occur in schools. This is due to two factors, namely, internal and external. To overcome these obstacles required a strategy in the formation of a systematic religious character that can be ”ammunition” in shaping the religious character of learners so that it can make learners become our human beings. The purpose of this study wanted to know about the strategy of character formation, the implementation of character formation and inhibiting factors and solutions in the formation of religious character of learners in high school Tenggarong. Research method in this research use field research type (field work research) with qualitative approach. The data collection is observation, semi-structured interviews and documentation. While the technique of data analysis using data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The result of research strategy of religious character formation of learners in Tenggarong High School is 1) Self-development which is not programmed include routine activity, spontaneous activity and exemplary already compatible with document of Ministry of National Education about character design of character education. 2) Implementation of religious character formation in routine activity shows significant similarity that is, class picket, worship, pray before and after learning in class and social service. As for spontaneous activity, that is, visiting the sick, throwing the garbage in its place, engulfing the argument. While the exemplary activities that is, by speaking polite, obey the order, dressed neatly and clean, and behave courteously. Although the spontaneous and exemplary activities have been implemented but not yet optimal. Due to the unavailability of all indicators on spontaneous and exemplary activities. 3) Factors inhibiting the formation of religious character that is, coming from the educators and education, the people who live around the school environment and the control of the competent. The solution in overcoming obstacles in the implementation of the formation of religious character is, by improving the quality of principals, educators and education, improvement of facilities and infrastructure, study appeal and cooperate with the competent.

Abstract

Perundungan at school is another form of the oppressive action against peer student whom perceived as weak, in some case, may cause a traumatic impact. By the early consciousness of its negative impact has triggered the SDIT Nurul Ilmi, SDN 002 and SDN 028 establishes policy of the Perundungan Anticipative Program. This research is meant to find out body of program and its implementation, as well as, the obstacle and supporting factor of the Perundungan Anticipative Program at SDIT Nurul Ilmi, SDN 002 and SDN 028. Method used in the research is qualitative with a qualitative-descriptive approach. The results of this study illustrate the form of anticipatory perundungan programs in the three schools are CCTV, polgu, polkam, no tech bench, committee, polkam, welcome students, murojah morning, dhuha prayer, tilawati, zippy's friend, ekstakulikuler, business day, visit and mushraka. The research result describes two forms of the perundungan anticipative applications, id est : 1) The Precautionary-measure, this is shown by the provision of the cutting-edged CCTV facilities, the teacher interim, the no-tech bench, committee, and security officer — who guards during break time. 2) The Prevention-measure, by the Character Building effort and the Religious Approach to student, through activities, such as, students’ inaugural, morning murojah, Dhuha Shalah, tilawati, zippy’s friend, extracurricular (boyscout, theater), business day, visitations, and musharaka. By all of the school residents’ support, and some ruled-out minors, the implementation of the perundungan anticipative program is declared as successful. And an absolute low rate of absenteeism has marked the successfulness of this program

Abstract

Mohammed Arkoun adalah seorang pemikir Islam kontemporer yang berasal dari Aljazair yang aktif mengajar, menulis, dan aktif di bidang sosial. Pemikirannya cukup mempengaruhi perkembangan pemikiran Islam di Indonesia. Pemikiran Arkoun lebih banyak membahas mengenai sastra/ bahasa, pemikiran Islam, etika dan kemanusiaan, kemasyarakatan, pemahaman tentang kitab suci, dan persoalan kaitan antara Islam dan modernitas. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengaitkan pemikiran Mohammed Arkoun dengan pendidikan Islam dengan melihat relevansi pemikirannya dengan pelaksanaan pendidikan Islam saat ini di Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan (Library Research) yang bertumpu pada bahan-bahan tertulis dari yang berhubungan dengan tema ini, data dikumpulkan dengan teknik dokumenter kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis isi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa relevansi pemikiran Mohammed Arkoun dengan pendidikan Islam di Indonesia adalah 1) Integrasi unsur- unsur modern dalam pengembangan konsep dan praktis pendidikan Islam di Indonesia, melalui reorientasi tujuan pendidikan Islam yang ingin mewujudkan lulusan yang ahli bidang keagamaan sekaligus memiliki skill dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, yang dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan dan tetap menanamkan nilai-nilai Ilahiyah dan humanis; dan 2) Integrasi ilmu agama Islam dengan ilmu pengetahuan umum melalui pengembangan kurikulum terpadu di lembaga pendidikan Islam seperti Pondok Pesantren, Madrasah, Sekolah Islam Terpadu, dan UIN.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Artikel ini ingin menyoroti tentang dinamika pendidikan Islam di Zaman Penjajahan Belanda., yang mana, telah membawa perubahan yang besar bagi pendidikan yang ada, khususnya di Indonesia. Peran Kolonial Belanda tidak terlepas dari pembaharuan Belanda dalam pendidikan yang ada di Indonesia ini. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang bersifat kajian pustaka dengan menganalisis sumber-sumber yang terkait. Hasil: Perjalanan sejarah pendidikan yang ada di Indonesia telah mengalami perubahan yang luar biasa, yang tidak terlepas dari peran orang Belanda. Oleh karena itu, dalam hal melakukan perubahan tersebut dikenal dengan istilah transformasi, Ulama-ulama Indonesia dalam menuntut ilmu di Mekah, dengan relanya tinggal beberapa tahun di Mekah demi mendapatkan ilmu yang nantinya akan di ajarkan di Kampung halamannya. Ilmu yang diperoleh dari Mekah, nantinya akan diajarkan kepada santri-santri pada pondok Pesantren sehingga membawa perubahan pada pendidikan Indonesia yang dikenal sebagai modernisasi. Dampak yang dihasilkan dari perubahan ini, tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa kurikulum ikut mengalami perubahan juga.

Abstract

This research attempts to (1) describe the development of creativity through experiment, (2) and give some stimulation for childrens to try and explore their experiences (3) for developing the creativity of the children's be means of experiments (4) developing music creativities (5) Music for early childhood developments. The early childhood it's being primary ages and has characterized to discover something. Childrens exactly more interest for studying with practice directly than just hearing and seeing around .children are very happy to learn by dealing directly with material presented. A good example for this is when children were taken out of the room and for developing their capabilities with experiment greatly helping children to be more creatives and intelligence. The importance of music for early childhood attempting to increase their creativities and imagination and able to stimulate the memory. Therefore music is very useful o teach children for better development. Music is a place to express the atmosphere of self because with music childrens given opportunity to express their feelings and ideas by dancing and moving by following music sounds

Abstract

Achieving the objectives of Early Childhood Education is needed by an institution that deserves good quality and educational services. Then a quality assessment is needed in the feasibility of conducting education in an education unit called accreditation. The aim of the study was to describe PAUD management based on the National Accreditation Agency Standards in Kutai Kartanegara (Standard Levels of Achievement of Development, Content Standards and Process Standards). The methodology of this research uses qualitative research methods based on postpositivism philosophy or interpretive, naturalistic qualitative research methods whose processes are inductive, the data obtained are qualitative data, which will later be interpreted so that the meaning is understood. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that Mutiara Bunda Kindergarten was considered very Complete for Standard-based administration of the National Accreditation Agency, from 3 (three) standards, namely Standards for Achieving Child Development, Content and Process Standards, almost all documents owned. From the results of this study Mutiara Bunda Kindergarten has run its management management based on PAUD and PNF National Accreditation Standards as it should, from the 3 (three) standards it can be proved the administrative completeness of Mutiara Bunda Kindergarten so that it deserves A level of accreditation given by PAUD and PNF National Accreditation Agency in 2016. It is appropriate for the administration of documents from planning, implementation to evaluation to be carried out continuously not only at any time so that all management of the institution can be carried out professionally with the achievement of the level of development of students who are very good.

Abstract

The strengthening of religious and moral values in early childhood is not limited to intellectual aspects, but rather their habituation in daily behavior in school is important. The strengthening of religious and moral values of early childhood requires exemplary people around them, especially teachers. Strengthening religious and moral values in early childhood is done through coaching and learning strategies in a holistic and integrative way to support their optimal growth and development. This study aimed to describe efforts to cultivate the religious and moral values of Early Childhood in Kindergarten ‘Aisyiyah Busthanul Athfal of Samarinda. This research was qualitative by using a phenomenology approach. Sources of data are teachers, student advisers, and students. Data collection technique are participant observation and in-depth interview. While the data analysis technique uses an interactive analysis model of Milles & Huberman, through the process of presenting data, data reduction, and verification/conclusion. The findings showed that the strengthening of religious and moral values of early childhood at Bustanul Athfal Kindergarten in Samarinda were carried out by combining the curriculum of the Ministry of National Education and Al-Islam 'Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Early Childhood Education curriculum through program solutions, integrated programs, and programs special. The strengthening strategies of religious and moral values of early childhood at Bustanul Athfal Kindergarten were carried out through the example of the teacher in the school, habituation in behaving according to the child's development. Repetition in attitudes and good behavior is done intensively. The establishment of cooperation between schools and parents and the availability of facilities adequately become supporting factors in the strengthening of religious and moral values of early childhood. While the inhibiting factors include limited infrastructure for the process of overhauling religious and moral values.

Abstract

The low tendency to understand the implementation of the Curriculum 2013 assessment activities is one of the problems in Madrasas. The teacher as one of the actors in the madrasa becomes spearheads the success of learning. Related to the context of the assessment in the Curriculum 2013 at this time must be carried out systematically including the assessment of attitudes, knowledge and skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the desain of the revised assessment curriculum 2013 in 2017. This type of research is library research with data collection techniques using “panduan penilaian oleh guru dan satuan pendidikan SMP/MTs Revisi 2017” linked to the structure of the curriculum, syllabus History of Islamic Culture and education calendar of Tenggarong City Kutai Kartanegara District Learning Year 2017 / 2018 for SMP / MTs. The results of the study that the desain of the revised curriculum assessment 2013 in 2017 related to the History of Islamic Culture in the Islamic Education in Tenggarong City, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, are tied to 4 main keys, namely, the structure of the curriculum, syllabus, educational calendar and time distribution analysis. Spiritual attitude assessment desain uses observation techniques in the classroom and questionnaires outside the classroom. Whereas social attitude assessment uses observation techniques in the classroom, student self-assessment questionnaires and between students outside the classroom. While the knowledge assessment desain uses structured assignment techniques, written tests and oral tests. The desain of knowledge assessment uses performance techniques, projects and products and is archived in the form of portfolios. The final results of the assessment are in the form of leggers which consist of collated judgments in the form of report cards and can be evaluated through student absorption.

Abstract

The religious culture is one of the main elements in the effort to bring children toward religious education, and that education begins with the family, then the family of religious education in particular will be key also in the formation of religious culture in children or students. Education key lies in spiritual education in the sense of nuanced religiuitas education, religious education for children. Because of religious education in the family can make the students motivated to behave religion in school. Education is either associated with Allah (hablumminallah) and relationships with other human beings (hablumminannas) and also the human relationship with the environment. This research was conducted with a quantitative approach that is descriptive correlational that is looking for a relationship and influence of the independent variables religious education in the family (X1) peers (X2) the religious culture of the dependent variable (Y), both individually and together. The results of this study indicate that each independent variable has a positive correlation and influence signifikan namely religious education in the family (0,266) and the religious culture of schools (0,356). Are connected with the same significant difference between religious education in families with peers in religious culture with a value of R 0,368, R2 0,135. This means that the percentage contribution of the influence of the independent variables (religious education in the family and peers) on the dependent variable (religious culture) of 13,5% From the results of numerical analysis it can be described that religious education in the family and peers have an influence on religious culture and the influence of peers is greater than religious education in the family's religious culture.
