The journal is pursues the academic exploration on Islamic education discourses in Southeast Asian schools, colleges, universities, and other Islamic educational institutions such as pesantrens (Islamic boarding schools). The journal promotes empirical research and theory relevant to Islamic affiliated educational institutions. The topics of the journal cover the micro, meso, and macro levels of Islamic education such as the philosophy of Islamic education, Islamic school leadership, and the politics of Islamic education. The journal is published twice a year in June and December. It was firstly published in 2013 (printed edition). Since Vol. 3, Issue 2 (December 2015), it has migrated gradually to an electronic journal system (Open Access). It is now a fully online journal, and since Vol. 8, No. 2 (December 2019) it only accepts manuscript submissions written in English or Arabic.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore information about the forms of juvenile delinquency, factors that influence the occurrence of juvenile delinquency, and the efforts made by the school in controlling juvenile delinquency. The object in this study is the State High School (SMAN) in East Kutai Regency: SMAN 1 Sangatta Utara and SMAN 1 Sangatta Selatan. The approach used in this study is a qualitative research approach, with data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the study show that the form of juvenile delinquency is mostly a form of juvenile delinquency in the case of violating school rules and violating regulations in the community. The factors that cause delinquency are due to external factors and individual internal factors. Efforts that have been made by schools in controlling juvenile delinquency is by preventive, repressive and curative manner.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the implementation of the 2013 curriculum by Islamic religious education teachers in elementary schools (SD) in Samarinda. This research is qualitative research and the point of research is in the second semester of Elementary School (SD) in Samarinda City academic year 2013/2014. The data sources used are the Islamic religious teachers  in elementary school in Samarinda. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Data collection techniques used is observation, interviews, and documentation. Testing the validity of the data include a test of credibility, transferability, dependability, and conformability. Data analysis techniques used is data reduction, data presentation, and verification.The result of the study shows that the implementation of the 2013 curriculum by Islamic religious teachers in elementary schools in Samarinda, Some of them is still not implementing the standardized processes optimally. Particularly, in the form of teaching planning administration. The problem is the lack of training 2013 curriculum, the lack of technology mastery, too much students, evaluation, and describing value for report cards, lack of cooperation between parents and teachers, the limitations of PAI books in 2013 curriculum.The results of this study concluded that the implementation of the 2013 curriculum by Islamic religious teachers in elementary schools (SD) in Samarinda is not done well and there are too much less optimal in practice.

Abstract

The religious culture is one of the main elements in the effort to bring children toward religious education, and that education begins with the family, then the family of religious education in particular will be key also in the formation of religious culture in children or students. Education key lies in spiritual education in the sense of nuanced religiuitas education, religious education for children. Because of religious education in the family can make the students motivated to behave religion in school. Education is either associated with Allah (hablumminallah) and relationships with other human beings (hablumminannas) and also the human relationship with the environment. This research was conducted with a quantitative approach that is descriptive correlational that is looking for a relationship and influence of the independent variables religious education in the family (X1) peers (X2) the religious culture of the dependent variable (Y), both individually and together. The results of this study indicate that each independent variable has a positive correlation and influence signifikan namely religious education in the family (0,266) and the religious culture of schools (0,356). Are connected with the same significant difference between religious education in families with peers in religious culture with a value of R 0,368, R2 0,135. This means that the percentage contribution of the influence of the independent variables (religious education in the family and peers) on the dependent variable (religious culture) of 13,5% From the results of numerical analysis it can be described that religious education in the family and peers have an influence on religious culture and the influence of peers is greater than religious education in the family's religious culture.

Abstract

This research is intended to find out correlation of 1) how is ability to understanding yellow book student of Nahdlatul Wathan Tenggarong Seberang Islamic Boarding School, 2) how is oral ability in arabic language student of Nahdlatul Wathan Tenggarong Seberang Islamic Boarding School, 3) how is writing ability in arabic language student of Nahdlatul Wathan Tenggarong Seberang Islamic Boarding School, 4) how is the relationship between the ability to understand the capability Yellow Book Oral and Written in Arabic student of Nahdlatul Wathan Tenggarong Seberang Islamic Boarding School. This research belongs to quantitative correlation by taking Nahdlatul Wathan Tenggarong Seberang Islamic boarding school. Data was obtained by interview, observation, documentation and instrument. Data analysis techniques performed with the test requirements analysis to test the research hypothesis. Finding of this research show that ability to understanding yellow book student of Nahdlatul Wathan Tenggarong Seberang Islamic Boarding School year academic 2015-2016 show that in general ability of understanding yellow book student of Nahdlatul Wathan Tenggarong Seberang Islamic Boarding School have ability to fairly high significance with an average mean 71.98 and standart deviation of 9.743. The ability of verbal have average score mean is 76.03. Shows the direction quite high with standard deviations is 10 407. The ability of writinghave average score mean is 76.77. Shows the direction quite high with standard deviations is 80.Partially multiple correlation the ability to understand the capability Yellow Book Oral and Written in Arabic student of Nahdlatul Wathan Tenggarong Seberang Islamic Boarding School showing the conclution: 1) The absence of a significant positive relationship between the ability to understand the yellow book with verbal ability is shown by a coefficient of 0.124. 2) While the ability to understand the yellow book with writing ability enough to have a significant relationship with a coefficient of 0.009. 3) There is a positive relationship between the yellow book with the ability to understand spoken and written ability student of Nahdlatul Wathan Tenggarong Seberang Islamic Boarding School. The strength of correlation the ability to understand the capability Yellow Book, Oral and Written in Arabic student of Nahdlatul Wathan Tenggarong Seberang Islamic Boarding School indicated by the multiple correlation coefficient of 0.503.

Abstract

The Qur'an asserts that the purpose of human creation is to serve (al-Ibadah) to Allah. Serving in this case includes the meaning of submission, helplessness, weakness, servitude, obedience and obedience of man to the law of God in living life on earth, whether ritual worship concerning vertical relationship (habl min Allah) and social worship concerning horizontal (hablun min al -Nas). The purpose of human creation is basically the ultimate goal of Islamic education. In order to achieve the goal of human creation as well as the goals of Islamic education above, the setting of objectives, content and teaching materials, learning strategies and evaluation of Islamic education becomes very important to do. Setting objectives may include the arrangement of the herarchical side of the broadest goal to the most narrow goals and objective categories of spiritual, social, knowledge and skill objectives. While the content setting can cover the breadth and depth of material including the development of teaching materials that support. Strategy settings include various models, approaches, strategies, methods, techniques and learning experiences that facilitate the delivery of content and teaching materials to achieve goals. Furthermore, the assessment arrangement includes various types of penilian either in the form of assessment that besifat qualitative or quantitative or assessment that is test or non test.

Abstract

Islamic School Network Integrated Curriculum (JSIT) is a curriculum that integrate curriculum with the curriculum of the National Local Content that based on Islamic education, which includes the National curriculum, the curriculum of Islamic education, Scouting curriculum, and skilled curriculum. Purpose of this study is describing the implementation of the curriculum of Islamic Schools Network Integrated (JSIT) in Junior High School Islam Daarussalaam North Sangatta East Kutai realized in school programs and find the factors supporting and hindering the implementation of the curriculum of Islamic Schools Network Integrated Integrated Islamic (JSIT) in Islamic Integrated Junior High School Daarussalaam North Sangatta  East Kutai. Research design of this study is a qualitative research. The main data sources obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. And data analysis technique obtained from data reduction, data presentation and verification of data by performing triagulasi data. The results of this study that the implementation of the curriculum of Islamic Schools Integrated Network Islamic in Integrated Junior High School (SMPIT) Daarussalaam North Sangatta East Kutai showed the indications on the Internalization of Islamic values in all subjects, local content and program curriculum. Some factors Supported implementation of curriculum Islamic Integrated School Network ISAM (JSIT) are the role of parents both morally and materially. National Education affair minister monitored and evaluated as well as the social environment that religious and strategic place while inhibiting factor Human Resources who lack an understanding of the Integrated Islami Curriculum School (JSIT) and inadequate infrastructure.

Abstract

Said Nursi said that in moral education is based on his understanding of the Qur'an and the inspiration of Allah SWT. The main task of moral education is to strengthen the principles possessed by humans to achieve human levels such as harmonious and balanced prophet in a positive way that gave birth to a noble attitude with morality karimah. There are 9 principles relating to morals contained from some books by Said Nursi, namely strengthening the faith, clinging to the Qur'an, the importance of understanding the essence of human creation, the importance of understanding the universe, the importance of understanding the 'al-Husna asthma, the importance of knowing Signs of doomsday, the importance of believing the end of the world, imitating the prophet Muhammad, and inculcating sincere, piety and alms. And from some of the principles / morals above, the most fundamental thing in strengthening his understanding is his interpretation of God, man, and the universe. First morality to God is related to the principle of strengthening the faith. Said Nursi believes that the ultimate faith in living a life. The faith in question is faith that is sufficient in the faith. Second is morality to man, is a manifestation of understanding the real creation of man. Humans have a tendency to goodness and always to the right path. And thirdly, the morals to the universe, Said Nursi says that the universe with all its elements, from the largest to the smallest, from inanimate to living things, are all created with a dose corresponding to their respective portions. Perspective Said Nursi about moral education, of course, very relevant to the context of character education as proclaimed by the government at this time. Theoretically Said Nursi's thought is based on al-Qur'an as-Sunnah and in practice can provide spiritual values through reason and morals so it is expected to change society to be morally in everyday life, both at school and at home.

Abstract

The term scholars, so far more dominant is associated with men. However, the fact that many female figures have been found in Islamic history, especially in Malay families. Therefore, the disclosure of women's economic side became a noteworthy study. The focus of the problem in this study was discussing the existence and dedication of female clerics on Islamic education in Malay family. This research is a type of literature research or called a library research. Data sources include books and research outcomes related to the role and gait of female scholars in the archipelago. While the data analysis technique uses content analysis technique. The results of this study concluded that public recognition of female scholars in the archipelago is still lacking. The dedication of female scholars to Islamic education can be seen in the form of providing enlightenment to the community, organizing a regular Taklim assembly, being the leader of educational institutions as well as the oganization of other Islamic, and devote All efforts, energy, and time for the development of Islamic education in the archipelago.

Abstract

This thesis is a study of the concept of parenting parents in the Koran (verses analysis study of communication parents and children), and aims to explore the type of parenting as well as the methods used by four parents in providing education and guidance to children became the object of this study. As for the four parents who meet the qualifications for being the object of this study are: As Noah and his sons; Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Isma'il As; As the prophet Jacob and Joseph As well as Luqman and his son. By knowing parenting and methods used in the verse, it will be easier for parents to imitate and take lessons that are inside.This study is a pure research library using interpretation approach, using methods maudu'i. This method was chosen because it is considered the most appropriate, at least until recently, to study the concepts of Quran on an issue, if the expected results of comprehensive and intact. Because this study involves the Koran directly, the first source is the holy book of Quran. Manuscripts that are used are the manuscripts of Religious Affairs. Other sources include books of commentaries, books and other writings related to this research.The results showed that the type of parenting parents in the verses of communication parents and children have a pattern and pattern Authoritarian Democracy. Authoritarian pattern can occur when educators provide that pressure followed by learners, while pattern Democracy can walk when educators give students the freedom to think, be creative and not to impose to the learners. In addition, another result of this study is the existence of several methods used to instill the values contained in the QS. Hud (11) Verses 42-43, QS. Alsaffat (37) Verses 102, QS. Yusuf (12) Verses 4-5, QS. Luqman (31) Verses 13-19) are: a) the method of behavior, b) the method of mau'iz}ahh}asanah, c) the method of meeting , d) the method of attention.This research, contributing positively in spreading the wisdom-the wisdom of Quran learn how to ducate children well and help to answer everyday issue within the family so that cen createsakinah mawaddah wa rahmah.

Abstract

This research is a type of research and development. The development model used through the adaptation results from the Borg and Gall models. In this study carried out only with 8 stages: 1) Potential and Problems; 2) Information Collection; 3) Product Design; 4) Design Validation; 5) Design Revision; 6) Product Testing; 7) Product Revision; and 8) Usage Tests. The stages carried out in this study are: Phase 1, namely the potential and problems carried out with the aim of finding out the problems in the field about learning models that can improve six aspects of early childhood development. This stage was carried out in six PAUD institutions with observation, interview and documentation methods. Stage 2 is gathering information/data, taken from three sources, namely learning implementation plans (RPP), teaching teachers, and students in six PAUD 5-6 year age groups. Stage 3 is product design, namely developing an existing learning model into a science-based learning model. The purpose of developing this learning model is to improve six aspects of early childhood development. The basis of the development of this science-based learning model is the curriculum 2013, several references from science learning books, learning material taken from daily activities of students, and traditional games that are easily played by early childhood. The observation results from the teacher as a user based on the questionnaire are as follows: 1) PAUD Mutiara Ilmu Samarinda received an average of 4.2 with the category "Good"; 2) PAUD Palapa Samarinda gets an average of 5.0 with the category "Very Good"; 3) RA An Nur Al Ikhlas Kutai Kertanegara received an average of 4.2 with the category "Good"; 4) PAUD Media Sandika Balikpapan gets an average of 5.0 with the category "Very Good"; 5) PAUDBalikpapan Anggrek I  received an average of 4.6 with the category "Very Good"; 6) Anggrek II ECD gets an average of 4.5 in the category of "Very Good". So that the observations from the teacher as a user based on the questionnaire as a whole got an average of 4.6 with the category "Very Good". Based on all of the above descriptions, the results of student and teacher testing as instructors are known to be effective science-based learning models used to improve six aspects of early childhood development.
