Abstract

Abstract:This study aims to determine: 1) The level of learning outcomes and communication skills of students before and after the implementation of ADI; 2) Improvement in learning outcomes and communication skills of students after the implementation of ADI; 3) significant improvement in learning outcomes and communication skills of students. This type of research is Pre-Experimental Design with a one group pretest-posttest research design. The population is 315 students of class VIII SMPN 24 Makassar. A sample of 27 students using purposive sampling technique. The research instruments are in the form of learning outcome tests and communication skills questionnaires which are analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the study show; 1) The level of learning outcomes before the implementation of ADI is in the low category with a score of 6.04 and after the implementation of ADI is in the high category with a score of 14.07. The level of communication skills before the implementation of ADI is in the moderate category with a score of 26.00, while after the implementation it is in the very high category with a score of 48.89; 2) The increase in students' science learning outcomes after the implementation of ADI is in the moderate category with an N-Gain score of 0.59. The improvement of communication skills is in the moderate category with an N-Gain score of 0.67. 3) there is a significant increase in learning outcomes with t-count = 11.50> t-table = 1.706. This means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted and in communication skills with a p-value of 0.001 <0.05. means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) the level of students’ science process skills (SPS) who taught using POE learning model in experimental class and conventional learning model in control class at SMPN 2 Sungguminasa, 2) the improvement of SPS after applying POE learning model in experimental class and conventional learning model in control class. 3) the effect of POE learning model on the SPS. This type of research is Quasi-Experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The results of analysis showed that: 1) the level of SPS of VIII grade students that taught using the POE learning model is in the high category with an average score of 16.80 and the control class is in the medium category with an average score of 13.53 2) The improvement of SPS of VIII grade students after applying the POE learning model is in the medium category with an average N-Gain score of 0.42. And in the control class is in the medium category with an average N-Gain score of 0.33 3) There is an effect of POE learning model on the KPS of VIII grade students of SMPN 2 Sungguminasa.

Abstract

The study aims to determine: (1) The level of students’ learning outcomes before and after the application of Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach based on Kajang local wisdom. (2) The improvement of students' learning outcomes after the application of the CRT approach. (3) A significant increase in students' learning outcomes after the application of the CRT approach. This research is pre-experiment research with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design. The study population was students of class VII of SMPN 1 Bulukumba in the 2023/2024 school year, with 24 students from class VII.6 as sample that selected using Purposive Sampling technique. The instrument was a multiple choice questions on Indonesian Ecology and Biodiversity material. Data was analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed 1) The learning outcomes of students before the application were in the low category with an average score of 6.21 and after the application was in a very high category with an average score of 16.75, 2) The improvement of students' learning outcomes obtained an average N-Gain of 0.76 with a high category. 3) There is a significant increase in student learning outcomes based on the t-test of learning outcomes.

Abstract

This paper presents the results of research that discusses the use of the Science, Environment, Technology and Society (SETS) model which aims to train the science literacy of fourth grade students at MI Miftahul Ulum Gumayun Tegal. The research is quasi experiment with non-equivalent control group design. The research was conducted in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year from June to July 2024. The research subjects were 40 students with details of 20 student in the experimental class and 20 students in the control class. The instruments used were multiple choice test questions, field notes and researcher observation sheets. Based on the results of the study, the use of the SETS model in training the science literacy of MI grade IV students showed a moderate increase, with an average N-Gain 31.7%. The independent sample t-test results show a significance of 0.006. If sig (2-tailed) <0.05 then H1 is accepted. From the research results, it can be concluded that using SETS model can improved the science literacy of fourth grade students at MI Miftahul Ulum Gumayun Tegal.
