Abstract

The aim of this research is that ADDIE-based Powtoon media can improve students' abilities in thinking creatively and developing arguments. This research uses the Research and Development research method. Involving experts (6 teachers) to assess and validate the media using media validation instruments (construct, language and technology). Meanwhile, to assess the practicality of media using instruments to see the influence of the media involving 30 students and 15 KKG teachers. Data were analyzed using SPSS V22 descriptively to describe the results of the media assessment. Based on the research results, the average validation results carried out on 30 students and 15 KKG teachers regarding Powtoon-based learning media were 3.51 percent and 3.95 percent, namely in the Quite Influential category, respectively. Furthermore, the results of the Practicality Analysis carried out on 5 teachers regarding Powtoon-based learning media were 4.06 percent in the Influential category. In this case the media used is valid and has an influence on the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Kurangnya pemahaman materi pembelajaran dapat menyebabkan rendahnya nilai hasil belajar. dipilihnya model pembelajaran yang sesuai adalah komponen pendukung dalam tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran yang mampu mendukung peserta didik untuk paham atas materi pembelajaran. Diantaranya yaitu memakai model yang tepat dan inovatif, seperti digunakannya model Pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VII pada tema tercemarnya lingkunganku. Penelitian yang dilaksanakan menggunakan metode yaitu Quasi Experiment atau eksperimen semu dengan memakai dua kelas yaitu satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol, dengan desain pre-test post-test control design. Melalui tes soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 25 butir soal Hasil belajar dapat diukur. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji hipotesis dengan memakai program SPSS versi 25 diperoleh nilai sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,004 < 0,05, dengan berlandas pada kriteria H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, oleh karena itu, dapat ditarik kesimpulan yaitu model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E memiliki pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VII pada tema tercemarnya lingkunganku dengan dibuktikan dari perolehan nilai hasil belajar peserta didik yang diterapkan dengam model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E  meningkat secara signifikan.

Abstract

Keterampilan scientific explanation merupakan keterampilan dasar yang mengarahkan peserta  didik dalam memecahkan masalah secara terstruktur dan melatih mereka untuk mampu mengabstraksi setiap konsep dasar dan fenomena sains yang mereka hadapai dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Peneltian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Remap NHT terhadap pemberdayaan keterampilan literasi sains dan kemampuan abstraksi konsep dasar sains. Tergolong dalam penelitian quasy experiment dengan tehnik sampling Non equivalent pretest-post test control group design. Populasi berjumahh 187 ssiwa kelas XII IPA yang terdiir dari 5 kelas. Dilakukan uji kesetaraan dalam menentukan kelas kontrol (positif dan negatif) serta kelas eksperimen. Instrumen dikembangkan berdasarkan pada indikator scientific explanantion yang dikembangkan oleh Gormally 2018. Analisis yang digunakan menggunakan uji anocova satu jalur. Hasil penelitian memaparakan bahawa model pembelajaran Remap NHT efektif dalam memberdayakan keterampilan scientific explanation peserta didik secara berkesinambungan.

Abstract

This study investigates how much influence the use of virtual PhET media has on students' critical thinking understanding in science learning. The research method used meta-analysis. Searches were conducted on the mendeley website, Google Schoolar, reference management software, and Harzing application with the keywords "influence", "virtual PhET", and "critical thinking". The results included 30 research journal articles and found 9 research journal articles that fit the meta-analysis method. The results showed that the effect size was high, with an average of (1.31), and the interpretation of the effect size showed that the use of virtual PhET media had an 88% influence on students' critical thinking in science learning. In conclusion, the use of PhET virtual media has an impact on students' critical thinking in science learning.

Abstract

This study discusses the development of Integrated Science Handout on Environmental Pollution Material for VII grade students of SMPN 4 Kota Sorong. This research conveys teaching materials (valid, practical and effective) in order to create handouts that are worth using. Type of research is Research and Development with the 4-D development model. The subjects of this research include 1 material expert, 1 media expert, and VII grade students of SMPN 4 Kota Sorong. The instruments used include feasibility questionnaires by material and media experts, as well as student response questionnaires to the use and posttest and pretest trials to assess effect of using handouts. The results of this test are: (1) Got an assessment value of 81 % on handouts by material experts in the classification of "very feasible", media expert validation 85.80% with the category "very feasible" and student response as a user 94% with the classification "very feasible". (2) posttest and pretest results with an n-gain value of 0.74 which is classified in the "high" criteria. With an all out rate score of 84.00%, the consequence of the results of this study is that the handout is suitable for use in class VII SMPN 4 Sorong.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and explain ethnoscience studies in the process of making laklak in Sading Village as support for junior high school science learning materials. This research uses qualitative research with an ethnography approach. The research was carried out in Sading Village, Badung. Determining the respondents in this study used purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques obtained from 3 laklak producers and using techniques purposive sampling obtained 3 science teachers at SMP Negeri 5 Mengwi. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques use the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the process of making laklak in Sading Village consists of several stages, including making suji leaf water, making laklak dough, baking laklak and serving laklak. The results of scientific studies from making laklak in Sading Village can be supporting material in junior high school science learning, that is classification of living things, pressure of substances, classification of matter and its changes, heat and its displacement, simple businesses and planes, movement systems in humans, food and the human digestive system, additives, and air pollution.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the students' critical thinking skills on the human excretory system material through differentiated learning based on content and process. There are three elements in the differentiated learning that are considered in this research; the student interest, the profile, and the readiness to learn. This research used quasi experimental methods with a non-equivalent control group research design. The sample amounted up to 60 students from two classes : 30 experimental class students and 30 control class students. The instrument used for the critical thinking skills test is 15 multiple-choice questions with C4 and C5 cognitive processes. The differentiated learning instruments are in the form of diagnostic assessments and formative assessments. Data processing was carried out using non-paramatric statistic Wilcoxon Test and N-Gain Test. The results showed that the influence of differentiated learning on the students' critical thinking skills on human excretory system material indicated by the Asymp value. Sig 0.000. A total of 30 students had no negative difference and increased by 25%. Applied differentiated learning had an effect size of 42% or 0.42 with the category "medium".

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui 1) Besar peningkatan literasi sains peserta didik kelas VIII SMP IT Nurul Fikri setelah dibelajarkan model pembelajaran ReCODE, 2) Besar skor kategori effect size penggunan model pembelajaran ReCODE terhadap peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains literasi sains peserta didik kelas VIII SMP IT Nurul Fikri, 3) Besar kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik kelas VIII sebelum dan setelah dibelajarkan model pembelajaran ReCODE, 4) Mengetahui tidak adanya perbedaan rata-rata peningkatan yang signifikan kemampuan literasi sains kelas VIII B dan kelas VIII D setelah dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran ReCODE. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Pre-Eksperimen. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan peningkatan N-Gain pada kelas eksperimen pada kategori sedang, analisis Effect Size pada kelas eksperimen pada kategori redah. Hasil analisis inferensial menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan rata-rata peningkatan yang signifikan sebelum dan setelah penerapan model pembelajaran ReCODE serta tidak terdapat perbedaan rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik antara kelas VIII B dan kelas VIII D.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pemanfaatan virtual lab sebagai alternatif praktikum di sekolah yang fasilitas laboratoriumnya terbatas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap Analysis, Design dan Development. Lab virtual ini dirancang menggunakan aplikasi Articulate Storyline 3. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan kuesioner. Kelayakan laboratorium virtual ini dinilai oleh ahli komunikasi, ahli materi dan ahli praktisi, aboratorium virtual ini dirancang berdasarkan analisis program dan kebutuhan dan terdiri dari 31 halaman. Desain yang dihasilkan hadir dalam bentuk aplikasi (APK) dan versi HTML yang dapat diakses melalui smartphone Android dan browser Google Chrome. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan dari berbagai ahli yaitu ahli materi 93,18% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”, ahli media 91 % dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”, dan ahli praktisi 90,90% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”. Hasil dari uji kelayakan berbagai ahli menunjukkan nilai 91,69% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”, hal ini menunjukkan media layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Uji praktik dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan masukan dari siswa SMA yang memberikan hasil sangat positif dengan skor 90,85 dengan kategori “sangat praktis”. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa laboratorium virtual yang dikembangkan sangat cocok untuk digunakan di kelas dan bermanfaat bagi siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the indigenous science of the Ngerupuk tradition as local culture in the Petang Traditional Village and analyze its relevance to junior high school science materials. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, with an ethnoscience approach. The research was conducted in the Petang Traditional Village, Badung. Through purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques, a total of 6 research subjects were obtained, including the Community component consisting of stakeholders, Serati Banten, community leaders, and science teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Petang. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses Milles and Huberman which consists of collecting data, reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results are a number of indigenous knowledge of the community about the Siat Api ritual or fire war and Mecaru panca sata which is the main activity of the Ngerupuk tradition of the Evening Traditional Village. Based on scientific analysis, it was found that the findings are relevant and have a great opportunity to be studied in Phase D Middle School Science, namely in the material of classifying living things, heat and movement, organization of life, air pollution, vibrations, waves and sound.
