Abstract

This research and development (R&D) aimed at creating an Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) based module for seventh-grade global warming material that has good feasibility and readability. The research process involves preliminary studies, planning, draft development of the product, initial field trials, and revisions based on trial results. During the initial field trial stage, an assessment of the module's feasibility and readability was conducted. The data sources for this research include experts and students. Data collection was carried out using feasibility assessment sheets, readability question sheets, and readability questionnaires. The results of the module feasibility assessment yielded an average final score of 88.25%, interpreted as excellent. Similarly, the results of the module readability test showed an average final score of 88.44%, also interpreted as excellent.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is an influence of the problem based learning model on students' cognitive biology learning outcomes. This research is a quasi-experiment using a non-randomized research design, controlled pretest-posttest group design. The population was all class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Rejang Lebong. The sample was selected using a simple random sampling technique. The results of the study showed that the average posttest score for the experimental class was 83.75, while for the control class it was 77.29. The Independent Sample Test shows that there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' cognitive biology learning outcomes. The results of the independent samples t-Test (t) were 0.003 because the p value was <0.05, so it was said that there was an influence between the learning outcomes of the experimental class and the control class. Thus it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning Model on Student Biology Cognitive Learning Outcomes at SMA Negeri 2 Rejang Lebong.

Abstract

This research was motivated by students' difficulties in participating in active learning and finding concepts independently, caused by the dominance of learning material that came from teachers, who rarely involved students in the concept discovery process. The research aimed to determine the influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by the wordwall educational game on critical thinking skills in the science subject of fourth-grade elementary school students. The study employed the True Experimental approach with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The study's population consisted of fourthgrade students at SDN Sumur Welut III/440 Surabaya, divided into two sample groups: the experimental and control classes, each consisting of 22 students. Random sampling was used as the sampling technique. Data collection methods included tests and interviews. The data analysis involved prerequisite tests such as normality and homogeneity tests, while hypothesis testing utilized the independent sample t-test. The findings indicated that the experimental class's critical thinking ability yielded an average posttest score of 1682, whereas the control class obtained an average posttest score of 1430. The hypothesis results showed a Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05 which meant  was rejected and  was accepted. Therefore, the conclusion of this research was that there was an influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by the wordwall educational game on critical thinking skills in the science subject of fourthgrade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the profile of digital literacy skills of prospective science teacher; and (2) whether there are differences in digital literacy skills. This research method is ex-post facto. The population in this study were all prospective science teacher students in Department of Science Education at Universitas Negeri Makassar in the odd semester of the 2022–2023 academic year. The sample was selected using proportionate stratified random sampling techniques, totaling 206 people spread across batches 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. The non-test research instrument in the form of a questionnaire consists of 10 statement numbers based on the three dimensions of digital literacy skills proposed by Ng (2012), namely technical, cognitive, and socio-emotional, which are analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics with one-way ANOVA test analysis. Based on the results of the descriptive statistical analysis of the digital literacy skills of prospective science teacher are in the medium category. Based on the results of an inferential statistical analysis, there are significant differences in the digital literacy skills of prospective science teacher at Universitas Negeri Makassar based on batch.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the significant influence of the application of Active Knowledge Sharing learning strategies on students' cognitive abilities in Biology subjects at SMAN 1 Tanjung Brebes. This research is quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The subjects are teachers and students, while the object is the application of Active Knowledge Sharing strategies to student learning outcomes. The population was all 288 students in class X of SMAN 1 Tanjung Brebes. The sample was 36 students in class X.2 as the experimental class and 36 students in class X.1 as the control that selected by purposive sampling method. The data collection techniques used are observation, questionnaires, documentation and tests. Based on the results, it was found that the cognitive abilities of students in the experimental class that used Active Knowledge Sharing strategies were higher than those in the control class that used conventional learning. This is proven through t test which shows that  that there is a difference in improving student learning outcomes between classes that use Active Knowledge Sharing strategies assisted by Google Classroom and classes that do not use Active Knowledge Sharing learning strategies at SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Brebes in biology learning virus material.
