Abstract

Gold, a precious metal, is highly favored for its ease of maintenance and low risk of loss, making it a popular investment choice. However, gold prices are subject to fluctuations influenced by factors such as the dollar exchange rate, market demand and supply, and monetary crises. Understanding these fluctuations is crucial for investors to minimize losses and maximize profits. The dataset, sourced from Investing.Com, spans from January 2019 to December 2024 and includes 1548 records with five attributes. The error rate was evaluated using Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). This study aims to forecast gold prices using the Multiple Linear Regression algorithm, with the K-Fold Cross Validation method applied to enhance model accuracy. The results show RMSE and MAPE values of 695.7909 and 0.27%, respectively, indicating that the Multiple Linear Regression algorithm is effective in predicting gold prices.

Abstract

This study uses the Naïve Bayes and Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithms to analyze the sentiment of user reviews on the Grab Indonesia app on the Google Play Store.  Web scraping was used to gather the review data, which was then processed through a number of stages, such as tokenization, letter modification, the elimination of unnecessary words, and weighting using the TF-IDF approach.  The findings of the investigation demonstrate that SVM performs better in classifying positive and negative sentiments and has a greater accuracy (93%) than Naïve Bayes (92%).  But in terms of computational efficiency, Naïve Bayes continues to lead the field.  This study sheds light on how well both algorithms do sentiment analysis on Indonesian mobile apps

Abstract

Public sentiment towards the Free Nutritious Meal Program on the Instagram social media platform is the subject of this study. Using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm, we classify sentiment from Instagram user reviews into positive, negative, and neutral categories. The SVM algorithm demonstrates a strong performance, with an accuracy of 0.90 in classifying sentiment. Moreover, the sentiment analysis reveals that most public reactions are neutral towards this program. This study has the potential to significantly influence decision-making by providing insights into how the public views government programs and the importance of considering sentiment.

Abstract

The Wani 2 Port Pier, located in Tanantovea District, Donggala Regency, is a vital infrastructure equipped with a Gantry Crane that requires optimal street lighting to support loading and unloading activities as well as maritime and land transportation. This study aims to analyze the lighting intensity and its compliance with the standards set by SNI 7391:2008, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, the Ministry of Maritime Transportation, and the Ministry of Health Regulation No. 70 of 2016, which recommends a minimum illumination level of 20 lux. An evaluation of the existing street lighting system indicates that the average lighting intensity remains below the established standard, ranging from 8 to 16 lux. This discrepancy is attributed to the varying distances between light poles, which range from 15–20.5 meters and the use of 100-watt LED lamps with an output of 12,500 lumens and a color temperature of 4000 Kelvin, which are not optimal. To address this issue, this study optimizes the street lighting system through simulations conducted using DIALux Evo software. The proposed improvements include modifying the lamp specifications and increasing the number of lamps. This upgrade results in a total luminous output of 30,000 lumens. Additionally, adding one streetlight with a 14-meters spacing between poles enhances overall illumination. The simulation results indicate that modifying the lamp specifications and adding streetlight points significantly improve light distribution. The achieved illumination levels comply with SNI 7391:2008 and the Ministry of Health Regulation No. 70 of 2016.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic health issue that significantly impacts the physical growth and cognitive development of children, particularly in developing countries such as Indonesia. This study aims to classify stunting status among toddlers in the Singgahan District by applying the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm, optimized using Grid Search Cross-Validation. The dataset consists of 642 toddler records with nine attributes representing nutritional and growth conditions. The classification process involves several stages, including data preprocessing, handling data imbalance using the SMOTE method, and model performance evaluation through 5-fold cross-validation. The results show that the SVM algorithm without optimization achieved an accuracy of 69.83%, while optimization with Grid Search Cross-Validation significantly increased the accuracy to 93.33%. These findings indicate that the application of SVM with hyperparameter tuning via Grid Search Cross-Validation is effective in improving classification accuracy for stunting status in toddlers. This research contributes to the use of machine learning in supporting decision-making processes in public health sectors.

Abstract

The inventory information system is a system that is very necessary and must be owned by a business agency and company. This system uses the buffer stock and reorder point (ROP) method which functions to predict the stock of goods and the amount of reordering goods. The information system used is a website that functions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of stock management to improve accuracy and save operational costs in the company. CV. Delta Power Listrindo is a company engaged in the production and provision of electrical products both in industry and housing. This can make it easier for an agency and company to manage stock. The system also contains data on incoming goods reports, outgoing goods and data on goods submission reports that can be printed and used for backup data that can be stored by the company. Therefore, with this system, the company is expected to be able to reduce the risk of shortages or excess stock and improve the quality and quantity of service to customers and minimize errors.
