Abstract

Solar panels are one of the renewable and environmentally friendly sources of electrical energy. Renewable energy at this time is often discussed, because non-renewable energy at this time has caused many negative effects on the earth. In utilizing solar panel electrical energy sources is fairly difficult, because to be at its best performance, solar panels must be at a certain irradiation and temperature. But in fact irradiation and temperature always change so that the power produced changes so that the power output is not optimal. Therefore, a tool is needed that is able to find the maximum power point automatically at any irradiation and temperature conditions, therefore in this study Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) is proposed using the Fuzzy-PI method so that the power output produced can always be maximized. The proposed Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) was tested through extreme irradiation and temperature changes and also compared to the Pmax value resulting in a Maximum Power Peak (MPP) accuracy of 94.69 %.

Abstract

At present, humanity's electricity needs are increasing and electricity is flowing directly from PLN which often experiences interruptions which causes power outages, the blackouts themselves are carried out because the load capacity exceeds the specified capacity. Therefore, it is necessary to seek alternative electrical energy as a substitute for extinguishing disturbances. Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) is used as an electronic device that can work in conditions where the PLN source is out. This study plans a UPS system that has a voltage sensor to detect blackouts. There is an SSR as a switch from the PLN power supply source to the UPS system. Single Phase Fullbridge Inverter in the UPS system is modulated by the Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) method with Fuzzy logic control. A single phase inverter using the SPWM switching technique can produce an output wave close to sine. Based on the results of the tests carried out, the UPS can work with a maximum power of 394.2W and the voltage is kept constant at 219V.

Abstract

Induction motors are the most common type of motor used in industry and in households with several advantages including simple construction and easy maintenance. However, induction motors also have weaknesses, one of issue is use large starting currents in a short time which can cause voltage drops in the power grid. This research focuses on the design and manufacture of a soft starter in order to suppress the start current surge. The method used by control the firing angle of the triac using a trigger circuit that is controlled by an arduino with optocouper as the phase detector. By adjusting the ignition angle of the triac, the voltage during the motor starting process can be adjusted. In addition, this softstarter can adjust the length of time the motor starts from 0 volts to the nominal voltage. The instrument testing was carried out on a 3-phase induction motor with a power specification of 1HP and a nominal current of 2 A with a start time varying between 3 seconds, 7 seconds and 10 seconds. From the test results obtained a linear increase in the motor input voltage with respect to the time set. During the process of increasing the voltage, in the T phase there is a slight difference in value to the other 2 phases, but at the end of the starting process the voltages of the three phases return to the same value. Meanwhile, the starting current tends to follow a voltage increase by linear but fluctuating with starting current lowest than DOL starter method. Abstract

Pilus is one kind of fried food and the shape like cylinder with variety length of cuts. Pilus makes by wheat flour, eggs, salt, and water. In general, production of pilus still manually use human power to make and cut pilus. Therefore, this pilus machine was created to make it easier and faster for human to create pilus. This pilus machine use a 1-phase AC motor to spin screw press and DC motor used to spin the cutter blade. ATMega8535 functionate as a microcontroller to control the speed and duration of motor. The Screw press is specially design, so it can press the dough out with two different sides. This Pilus Machine has capacity to produce pilus average 6kg / hr. The average current of ac motor needs 6,11 A. Average percentage of initial dough result with pilus result is 90.8%. This pilus machine can produced pilus with a length of 1cm, 2cm, dan 3cm.

Abstract

The main purpose of making a peanut skin peeling machine is to meet the needs of peanut shelling when farmers are in the harvest season in peanut-producing areas. This machine is expected to help the stripping process, so as to increase production efficiency and quality. The stages of making a peanut skin peeler machine consist of needs analysis, preparation of product technical specifications, product concept design aims to produce alternative product concepts, after the product concept is obtained, the next step is product design which is product concept development in the form of sketches into technical objects, the last step in making this machine to make product documents in the form of working drawing designs. The specifications of the peanut skin peeler machine are with a capacity of 29 kg/hour, machine dimensions 1375 mm long x 648 mm wide x 1318 mm high. Using a driving force in the form of a 5.5 HP, 3600 rpm gasoline motor, the peanut skin peeler machine frame uses an L elbow profile of 40 x 40 x 40 mm. The peanut sheller machine transmission system consists of several components, namely pulley, v-belt, shaft, bearings, gearbox, and gasoline motor. The transmission system that we will make is using a gearbox with a gearbox ratio of 30: 1 and a pulley ratio of 1: 1. It will slow down the speed of a gasoline motorbike from 3600 rpm to 120 rpm. The mechanism that works on the transmission system starts from the gasoline motor which is transmitted to the gearbox shaft and from the gearbox shaft to the paring knife shaft using a v-belt will be transmitted, the connecting shaft uses a v-belt, at the same time the pulleys that have been attached to the v-belt on the connecting shaft are redistributed towards the pulley shaft of the paring knife using a v-belt which is used to rotate the paring knife to peel the skin of the peanuts.

Abstract

In everyday life, air in the atmosphere has various forms such as gas, air particles and so on. One of them that is often inhaled by humans is oxygen. However, various kinds of air particles can have a negative impact on health, namely respiratory tract infections if inhaled or exposed to a predetermined reasonable threshold period. Therefore, it is necessary to prevent a tool to determine the level of air quality and its status and the location point that is compact in size and easy to carry. The system that is built has air pollution detection parameters including particulate matter, carbon monoxide gas and nitrogen dioxide. In the tool there is a system equipped with technology, namely monitoring by connecting to the cloud server in real time. Where, these data show the value that has been processed into the Air Pollution Standard Index (ISPU) and the data can be read back without worrying. On the surface of the tool displays the status of the carbon monoxide parameter air quality, for other parameter data can be seen in the cloud server database. Additional features contained in this system are being able to find out the location of the device that has been installed and the percentage value of the available battery capacity. After testing the tool, the error value on sensor readings for each CO, NO2, PM2.5, temperature, humidity, pressure gas is 2.26%, 11.318%, 4.567%, 4.138%, 17.17%, 0.036%. Abstract

Some residents of Sinar Negeri Hamlet use the nearby spring as a place to raise freshwater fish. Residents have solely utilized this spring for everyday needs up until now, and it serves as the primary water source for fish ponds. Since technology would increase residents' productivity, they are excited about the chance to employ it in Sinar Negeri hamlet. Farmers also complain that there is no lighting surrounding the cultivation ponds, which makes it challenging for fish farmers to move around and perform their duties at night. Alternative small-scale power plants known as pico hydropower plants can be used in rural locations with rivers that continuously discharge water and a relatively modest waterfall to power a turbine that generates electricity. The spring has a head of 0.75 meters and a flow rate of 0,002 m3/s. Natural resource potential can be used to generate an environmentally friendly small-scale power plant using alternative energy. Through the use of turbine technology, potential energy from the water head and flow rate is converted into electrical energy produced by a generator with an approximate output of 8,79 watts.

Abstract

Nowadays, 4G cellular service has become a basic need especially for campus communities. Information exchange and learning processes often utilize technology in this service. Block 6, floor 2 of the PCR campus consists of 2 lecturer rooms, 4 laboratories, 1 meeting room and 1 research room. Of course, this is one of the spots in PCR where 4G service is needed. Of the several 4G service providers in Indonesia, Telkomsel is the operator that has the most customers. 4G network performance can be seen in several parameters such as RSRP, RSRQ, CSFB, Throughput and SINR. These parameters are obtained through a process called Drive Test (DT). Drive Tests carried out by walking in closed areas such as inside buildings, malls, and such are called Walktests (Indoor Drive Tests). This research is focused on observing only one parameter, namely throughput. From this research, the maximum throughput value for Telkomsel's 4G network in Block 6, Floor 2, PCR Campus at the time of measurement (July 13 2023 at 16.43 WIB) was 2.18 Mbps. So when compared with the KPI set by Telkomsel, the throughput value in block 6, floor 2 of the PCR campus is in the "fairly good" category. Keywords: 4G, Drive Test, Throughput

Abstract

Cathodic protection is needed as corrosion mitigation in oil tanks on land to minimize internal and external corrosion. Corrosion problems that often arise in tanks are corrosion on the shell, roof and bottom. In this research, a corrosion protection system was designed for an olein storage tank with a capacity of 450 kL for one of the palm oil ship industries located in Kalimantan. The corrosion protection used is SACP (Sacrificial Anode Cathodic Protection) where active anodes are used to protect metal surfaces which are more passive against corrosion attacks. To provide good corrosion protection, sufficient current, number of anodes and correct placement are required. From the calculation results it was found that for the shell, the current required is 0.0102446 A with a total of 46 anodes and the placement of each anode is 5.36 m. For the same bottom and roof, each requires a current of 0.0103869 A with 7 anodes and a distance within a radius of 6.74 m.

Abstract

The distribution panel is a place to distribute and distribute electrical energy from the power panel to the load panel (consumer) for both power installations and lighting installations. The main problem with every disturbance or improvement in electricity usage is that people need to come to the area to control and monitoring the panel manually. This research focuses on the design and manufacture of control and monitoring devices at 3 and 1 phase loads, with the method using NodeMCU esp 32/8266 with pzem004t sensor as control and reading of voltage, current and frequency on the panel, which can be viewed and controlled offline at panel or online using the blynk application. The testing of the tool is carried out using a 3-phase motor, PC monitor, fan, laptop charger, and chicken lamp. By turning on the load one by one or simultaneously. From the test results, the tool can turn on and off online through the blynk application and manually using a push button. the results obtained are quite accurate with a maximum error percentage of 8.70%. However, the microcontroller between control and monitoring is used separately.
