Studies on the effect of persuasion message in a proenvironmental behavior context have been focused on the utilization of argumentative massage type to ensure changes in individual’s behavior. The purpose of this research is to testing whether persuasion narration on type message, based on the risk in mediation by drifting, can reduce the use of plastic bag. This research method used an experimental method by giving manipulation in reading the material form and fill three instruments for 167 respondents. The result suggests that health risk framing messages were more likely increase proenvironmental behaviors in use reduction of plastic bags compares to environmentalrisk framing messages. This effect appears due to the historical transportation process. This research contributes to literacy of the community of reducing the use of a plastic bag to improve environmentally friendly behavior.

Research examines the focus of social identity and cultural identity of individuals between states of Germany, China and Indonesia. Building a sense of one's cultural identity is comprised of various identities that are interconnected with face negotiation theory perspective. Research constructive significance intersubjective phenomenology with qualitative constructivist paradigm. The study found that the inter-state identity constructed in a different manner. Germany builds social identity because of the role of government not of the family. Germany does not take into account the family so that the identity of individual awakes more independent. Chinese social identity constructed by social status, stratum or class. China still sees a group of men as dominant and women as a minority. Socially constructed male identity as it is considered more capable than women. Social identity of opposites so that social structures are built are also different. Similarly, Indonesia, social identity is built almost the same as China, only differentiating factor lies in obedience to carry out the norms and values prevailing in the social strata. Indonesia and China still uphold the cultural dimension of collectivity than Germany Individual dimensions. Using multicultural Public Relations function approach finally be able to recognize the cultural identity of each country and each social identity

Freedom of getting information is also one of democracy state’s features since it is expected to stimulate participation of citizen. Furthermore, if there is more public information which can be got freely, it will strengthen the tendency of the change of society type into informative society. Indonesia tried to facilitate its citizens by providing such a basic bill in order to access public information. As a communication policy, this regulation has been implemented since its validity 2 years ago. This implementation of policy such as Bill No. 14 of 2008 talks about Transparency of Public Information become such a complicated problem. Problem related to regulation’s article which has to be as operational as possible when it will be implemented and also about its accuracy are factors that become a success key for public policy implementation involved the communication policy.

This research describes the development, analyzing the communications strategy of socialization migration of tv analog to digital in Central Java using descriptive qualitative method. Data collection is done by interviewing 200 informants in four areas namely Semarang, Magelang, Purwokerto, and Pekalongan. Data analysis was undertaken by using analysis phase of strategic communication which includes formative research, strategy, research, and evaluation tactic. The results show a majority of residents Central Java did not know about migration plan of analog to digital tv. It is a challenge to plan a proper communications strategy according to conditions in Central Java so that the migration can run well and make benefit for all parties. Certainty roadmap migrations will ease the preparation of the communications strategy. The contribution of this research is to provide communication strategy of socialization of digital broadcast system in Central Java.

This study aims to find an effective communication model counselor in Narcotics Prison of Class IIA Sleman Yogyakarta in rehabilitating drug users. This study uses qualitative method for its ability to help clarify the picture of the development of models of effective communication patterns counselor Narcotics Prison Class II A Sleman Yogyakarta in rehabilitating drug users. The research found that the pattern of communication and coaching in the rehabilitation of drug users in Narcotic Prison of Class II A Sleman Yogyakarta consists of two patterns. The first is informal and formal communication patterns. The second concept is carried out by community terapeutic concept, a method aimed for the social rehabilitation for victims of drug users. This patterns aimed at forming prisoners in to a human who returned intact after dependence on drugs, fostering awareness of the law, reintegration in to society, job skills training, and counseling and rehabilitation programs.

Conflict occurs between two or more parties with different interests. Media related to conflict. The ability of the media to influence public opinion is the biggest element in the relationship between media with conflict. The media in this context can be a party that sparked the conflict but could also act as resolutor conflict. Media as a provocateur when play became an arm of one of the conflicting parties, while a conciliator conflict when showing neutrality and information that tends to peace (peace narrative). And theoretical studies should be conducted searches empirical facts on this subject, to clarify the position, the position and role of media in conflict situations. The results can also be used to see the extent to which the media contribute to creating conditions of public space and democratic deliberative. Against this, the choice to stick with journalism be the most appropriate choice for the media in an effort to maintain its position as an agent of democracy in society.

This article focuses on how the local print media view of regional identity artists involved in the video contained sexual scenes. The author raised the case of video sexual scenes involving Ariel, Luna Maya, and Cut Tari. All three are national artist when the video was circulated in the society. The three newspapers under study are the Bali Post, Serambi Indonesia, and Pikiran Rakyat. The results showed that the three newspapers was to discredit the three artists with the construction of such news. The newspaper did not give chance for artists to express their opinions.

The study aims to map and describe relationships between concepts of activity of journalists in the media now cloning technology based activities and relationship between news reporters. This study discusses the focus of news coverage in media activities and relationships among the journalists in the era of technology. The theory used is situational theory Grunig and Hunt and descriptive method of Public Relations. The study found that the situation changes in the era of media encourage actions of unscrupulous hunters cloning news. News media such as online media should now be used as the initial data is not the primary data news writing. The presence of media now facilitates the work of journalists but not always produce good quality of news. Otherwise, the presence of technology encourages more active cloning news reporter. Media now can initiate active and apathetic public situations as influenced by quality news content. The presence of media technology changes the image of the relationship between journalists—from person to person or reporter to reporter to journalists with media technology.
