Abstract

The ability of mathematical comprehension and counting skills of students is an important aspect that needs understood by students in mathematics learning in elementary school. The aim of this research is to find out the improvement of mathematical comprehension ability and counting skills of students who get learning with contextual approaches, studying contextual approaches, and studying conventional approaches to the study of physiology. This research method is quasi experiment with data collection technique using pretest and posttest. The samples of this study were the second grade of SDN 1 Tangkil, SDN 3 Kedongdong, and SDN 1 Wiyong, and then based on the results of the different test of the sample were bound and identified that the three classes could improve the ability of mathematical comprehension and counting skills. Based on the average test of the average free sample using H-test (Kruskal-Wallis), it is known that there is a difference in the average ability of mathematical comprehension and counting skills in the three experimental classes, and it can also be known the relationship between mathematical comprehension ability and student counting skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh pendekatan kontekstual berstrategi TTW dan pendekatan konvensional serta membuktikan bahwa pendekatan kontekstual berstrategi TTW lebih baik daripada pendekatan konvensional terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kuasi eksperimen dengan desain the nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IV SD se-kecamatan Cisarua. Sementara sampelnya adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Cisalak IV sebagai kelas eksperimen dan Cisalak II sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa dan kinerja guru, angket dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian dengan taraf signifikansi  = 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan kontekstual berstrategi TTW dan pendekatan konvensional memberikan pengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa serta pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual berstrategi TTW lebih baik secara signifikan daripada pendekatan konvensional terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.

Abstract

Preliminary data shows 6 of 20 grade school students gunungsari as the subject of study has not reached kkm. It is because several factors of teachers and students. Their effort to improve these problems by applying model examples non examples. Researchers used the methodology quantitative and qualitative spiral model research class action (PTK) start the planning stages , implementation , observation and reflection. Increasing proven from the observation the planning stage cycle I (86,7%), cycle II (100%), and the cycle III (100%). The performance of teachers cycle I (80%), cycles II (95%), and cycle III (100%). The activity of students cycle I (75,4%), cycle II (82,1%), and cycle III (90%). Study results students cycle I ( 55 % ), cycle II (75%), and cycle III (90%). Thus through model Examples Non Examples , the learning and linguistic survey intelligence SDN Gunungsari Kecamatan Sumedang Utara Kabupaten sumedang increased.

Abstract

Scientific literacy is a person's ability to understand science. Scientific literacy is important in relation to daily life because by having scientific literacy, someone can consider all its decisions based on the understanding of science that he has. Scientific literacy in Indonesia is still very low. But scientific literacy  can be enhanced, one of which is through contextual teaching and learning activities conducted in elementary schools. This is evidenced by the results of research with pre-experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design which shows that contextual learning can increase scienctific literacy in all groups of students whether students in the category high, medium, and low when done properly. There is difference enhance in scientific literacy between students in the category high, medium, and low on aspects of context, content and competence of scientific literacy. But there is no difference in aspects of science attitudes. This increasement difference is supported by different student observation results. The results of high-class student observations are the best of the three and the improvement is so. Nevertheless, the ability of scientific literacy all three can be increased significantly. Thus, contextual teaching and learning has been successful in enhancing student’s scientific literacy.

Abstract

The result of learning listening an announcement that held in grade IV in SDN Padasuka I are still low. This can be seen in their study result in listening an announcement. The students are hard to listen to the announcement so the students can’t retell the announcement. So, to fix this problem, the dictogloss and mindmap are used. The method that used in this research is classroom action research by Kemmis and Mc. Taggart that has four steps.To improve teacher performance, student activity, and the study result. The result in every cycle are increasing. In cycle I, there are 7 or 33% student who pass the test, In cycle II, there are 13 or 62% student who pass the test, In cycle III, there are 18 or 86% student who pass the test. Thus, through the application of dictogloss and mindmap can improve student learning outcomes in the material announcement.

Abstract

The result of study at fourth grade in SDN 2 Sadapaingan, Ciamis to the matter of distribution natural resources at region is still low. It was because of learning process did not use media. One of solution to solve problem is used media as “Kuartet Cerdas” for improve of students school grades. The research uses the methodology of action grade folks by Kemmis and MC. Taggart. From preliminary data study result of students from 19 people just seven people (37%) completed in archived a score of above 70 as KKM, the standard proportion for completing the material. On the cycle I students who completed about 11 people (58%), cycles II students who completed 14 people (74%), and the cycle III students who completed 16 people (84%). The act of buttoning that “Kuartet Cerdas” media can improve outcomes in the subject matter distribution IPS natural resources at the region nation.

Abstract

In the study to see the influence of contextual approaches to students' science process skills. The method used is pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were all students of 4thgrader SDN in kecamatan Cimanggung namely SDN Bunter 1, SDN Bunter 3, SDN Tanjungsiang. The instruments used are science skill test, observation sheet, questionnaire and interview. The result of research with significance level α = 0,05 shows: First, science learning using contextual approach can improve students' science process skill in superior group Second, science learning using a contextual approach can improve students' science process skills in the group Third, science teaching using contextual approach can improve students' science process skill in asor groupFourth, there is a difference in the improvement of students' science process skills in superior groups, papak, asor.

Abstract

Research is called  problem based learning to improve the ability to critial thinking studentsgrade 5 to the matter of natural events. The study is done at high students group, and, and low, in order to see how increased capacity critical thinking students. Method in this research that is uses the method pre-eksperimen with the design pre-eksperimen group one-group pretest-posttest. Population to research it is a whole primary school sub district pabuaran who ranks school including the sand from SDN 1 Pabuaranlor. An instrument used is about tests the ability of critical thinking, sheets of observation, and chief. The results of the study with of significance in ᵅ = 0.05 show that there is an increase in the capacity to think critical students on high group, and, and low. Abstract

This research is based on the researcher's interest in the matter of integers. The integrity of the matter of integers, making the students difficult to learn. The purpose of this research is to proving that learning using kapone media is better than conventional. Population in this research is the elementary school at Kecamatan Sumedang Selatan using KTSP curriculum with of class IV in school as many as 30 students. Meanwhile, the sample is the IV grade students of SDN Cikondang I as experimental class and SDN Gunasari as control class. Instruments used such of test mathematical understanding and problem solving abilities. observation sheet student activities and performance teacher, and student journals. Research result with significance level of α=0,05 indicates that learning by using kapone media is better than conventional learning in improving students' understanding and problem solving capability.
