Abstract

Hijrah is a contemporary Islamic religious phenomenon in Indonesia, especially in urban areas. Not only artists, but the phenomenon of migration has begun to spread to the campus world. As a result, this paper aims to investigate the phenomenon of student migration at Mataram University in Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann's social construction. This study falls under the category of field research. We obtained primary data from Mataram University students who are still active and have migrated. Six students met the criteria for the selection of respondents in this study. The secondary data include various books, media, and journal articles that can support this research. Data collection methods include interviews and observations. Following the collection of data, an analysis was carried out using the Miles and Hubarman models. The study's results illustrate the phenomenon of students at Mataram University migrating within the social construction of Peter Berger and Thomas Luckmann, utilizing three dialectical moments. Initially, the term "externalization" refers to the process by which students acquire knowledge about migration from their peers on campus and lectures given by ustaz Hanan Attaki and Adi Hidayat via various media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, and others. Next, the students joined the Baabul Hikmah Campus Da'wah Institute's Student Activities Unit. IIn this institution, they connect with individuals who share a common understanding and receive support to maintain consistency in their emigration process. he last phase is known as internalization, where the students comprehend that their migration signifies a positive shift. Hijrah begins with a strong will and determination to change, trying to abandon undesirable habits, speaking politely, dressing in secret, and not dating to avoid undesirable things.

Abstract

This research focuses on the relationship between spirituality in the workplace and the work ethic of employees at equipment shop X in Wonosari, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. Based on observations and interviews with 9 employees, it was found that the work ethic of employees in this shop was relatively low. Employees often neglect customer service, express emotions, differentiate customers based on appearance, and ignore the prayer hours that are regulated in company regulations. This shows that the low work ethic of some employees is influenced by low spiritual awareness in the workplace. The results of this study indicate a significant relationship between workplace spirituality and employee work ethic. Based on the research results, there is a positive relationship between Workplace Spirituality and Work Ethic, with a correlation coefficient = 0.557 (p> 0.50), meaning there is a significant positive relationship. Increasing spiritual awareness can improve the quality of work ethic, which has a positive impact on employee performance. This research suggests that companies can improve employee work ethics by strengthening spirituality in the workplace, which includes understanding the meaning and purpose of work and applying spiritual values in daily activities

Abstract

In the Semanggi 1 and Semanggi 2 incidents, serious human rights violations occurred. The DPR-RI decision was then challenged by a number of community organizations to the Jakarta State Administrative Court (PTUN). This study aims to analyze the history of the Semanggi 1 and Semanggi 2 events, analyzing the Jakarta Administrative Court's decision Number 99 of 2020 concerning the cancellation of the DPR-RI statement on the Semanggi 1 and Semanggi 2 events, and terms of Fiqh Siyasah on the Jakarta Administrative Court's decision Number 99 of 2020 concerning the cancellation of the DPR-RI's statement on Semanggi 1 and Semanggi 2. Then this scientific work research uses normative juridical research methods, namely research based on secondary data sources including primary legal materials in the form of laws and regulations (statute approach) and secondary legal sources with library materials, such as books, scientific articles and journals. The results of this study show that in Decision Number 99 of 2020, the Jakarta State Administrative Court annulled the DPR-RI Decision with the consideration that the DPR-RI had made a mistake in assessing the Semanggi I and II events as not being gross human rights violations. Then the Jakarta State Administrative Court Decision Number 99 of 2020 did not emphasize the suitability in the context of fiqh siyasah. In the concept of fiqh siyasah, the decision of the Jakarta State Administrative Court Number 99 of 2020 does not fulfill the principles of Justice (Al-Adl) and Legal Certainty (Al-Yaqin). This research emphasizes the need for fair law enforcement and legal certainty to deal with human rights in Indonesia, especially in the events of Semanggi 1 and 2.

Abstract

The “Marriage Is Scary” trend reflects doubts, fears or concerns about married life that are often publicized through personal or reflective content on social media. The concerns often expressed stem from infidelity, domestic violence, marital unpreparedness, gender inequality, and poor conflict management leading to divorce. This study aims to analyze the da'wah strategy implemented by Medan's Nikah Clinic in dealing with the marriage is scary trend. The research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with six program alumni, and documentation of activities at Nikah Clinic Medan, located in Medan City, North Sumatra. The data analysis technique was conducted by Miles and Huberman which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that Medan Nikah Clinic implemented a holistic education-based da'wah strategy, including: (1) organizing pre-marital lectures based on the integration of religious values and psychology; (2) involving professional da'i with interpersonal communication competencies; (3) establishing discussion forums and confidence-based matchmaking consultations; (4) outbound programs for character strengthening and partner cooperation; and (5) optimizing digital media for adaptive da'wah. This strategy is effective in building the mental, emotional, and spiritual readiness of prospective couples, which is reflected in the participants' narratives of increased self-confidence and decreased anxiety about marriage. This research contributes to enriching the study of da'wah strategies based on contemporary social phenomena and provides practical implications for the development of pre-marital education programs for the younger generation.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the strategy of developing a sakinah family in the Office of Religious Affairs of Medan Tembung Subdistrict and identify the implementation of POACE-based da'wah management principles (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling, Evaluating) in the implementation of the program. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The main informants consisted of the Head of the KUA, Functional Islamic Religious Instructor (PAIF), and two community members. Secondary data were obtained from relevant literature. Data validity was tested through triangulation of sources and techniques. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman's interactive model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the strategy of developing a sakinah family in the KUA of Medan Tembung Subdistrict is carried out through a combination of national programs from the Ministry of Religious Affairs such as Bimwin, BRUS, and BRUN, as well as an internal approach that emphasizes the value of worship, sharia legal consultation, and sustainable family assistance. The implementation of this strategy is managed with the principles of POACE (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling, Evaluating) da'wah management which proved to be effective, as seen from the low number of post-marriage complaints and the high appreciation of the community for the program which is considered to touch various important aspects of household life.

Abstract

The transformation of digital media has changed the landscape of da'wah communication, encouraging da'i to adapt more relevant and participatory approaches. One platform that attracts attention is that blogs, although not as popular as mainstream social media such as YouTube or Instagram, still have the potential as a text-based and multimedia da'wah communication channel. This research aims to examine the use of blogs as a medium of Islamic da'wah by highlighting the form of interaction, content effectiveness, and communication dynamics between da'i and audiences. This study uses a qualitative approach to the case study method of three Indonesian-language Islamic blogs that have actively published da'wah content in the past year. Data was collected through analysis of blog content, in-depth interviews with blog managers and audiences, as well as participatory observations of the interactions in the comments column. Research shows that da'wah blogs serve as a dialogue space that allows audiences not only to receive religious messages, but also to provide feedback, questions, and discussions. The most effective types of content include practical worship articles, personal inspirational stories, and short video lectures. Two-way interactions and contextual message delivery increase audience involvement and their religious understanding. The study also noted significant challenges such as low comment moderation and the risk of unvalidated dissemination of religious information. The main contribution of this research is to affirm the blog's function as an alternative medium of personal, open, and needs-based da'wah, by integrating the Use and Gratifications theory in analyzing audience motivation.

Abstract

This study analyzed the communication management strategy of Baitul Muslimin Indonesia (Bamusi) in building a positive image of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) among the Muslim community of North Sumatra. The study used a qualitative approach to the case study method, involving in-depth interviews of 12 key informants—consisting of Bamusi administrators, local religious figures, and Muslim communities from various Islamic organizations such as NU and Muhammadiyah as well as participatory observation and document analysis. The results show that Bamusi adopted three main strategies: a symbolic-cultural approach through religious activities, personal communication with religious figures, and dissemination of national narratives via social media. This strategy is effective especially in changing the perception of moderate Muslim groups, with 70% of informants stating that there is an improvement in PDIP image. This study emphasizes the importance of religious values-based political communication and its contribution to understanding symbolic framing and strategic communication in the context of nationalist and Islamic ideological relations.

Abstract

The mental health of Muslim students has become a critical issue that demands counseling approaches grounded in Islamic spiritual and cultural values. This study aims to conduct a systematic literature review on Islamic counseling approaches that support the mental health of Muslim students or adolescents, as well as to analyze their effectiveness and implementation challenges. The method employed is a systematic literature review of ten scholarly articles published in 2025, selected based on strict inclusion and exclusion criteria. The review findings indicate that Islamic counseling approaches are highly diverse, encompassing tazkiyatun nafs, sufi psychotherapy, Islamic Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT), Islamic expressive writing, Islamic character education, and innovations in sharia-based digital counseling services. Most of these approaches have proven effective in enhancing mental resilience, reducing anxiety, improving emotional balance, and strengthening students' spiritual resilience. Nevertheless, several challenges were identified, including the limited competence of Islamic counselors, social stigma against counseling services, technological barriers, and the lack of longitudinal evidence-based studies. This review highlights the importance of developing Islamic counseling services that are structured, empirically grounded, and supported by collaboration among practitioners, academics, and policymakers to promote the mental health of Muslim youth in the contemporary era.

Abstract

This research aims to answer the main question of how the role of Islamic Guidance and Counseling (BPI) is in handling cases of bullying experienced by students at the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication, UIN Sumatera Utara. This study is motivated by the lack of Islamic value-based approaches in addressing psychological violence in higher education settings. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method with in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. The informants consisted of four people: one supervising lecturer and three students who had previously been victims of bullying and participated in BPI services. The data was analyzed using a thematic approach. The results show that the forms of bullying experienced include verbal, relational, and institutional, with psychological impacts such as stress, anxiety, and social withdrawal. BPI contributes to recovery through a spiritual approach based on the values of patience, trust in God, and self-purification, which is realized through mentoring, religious discussions, and character development. Although not yet supported by a strong institutional system, this service is considered practically beneficial in building students' mental resilience. The limitations of this study lie in the limited number of informants and the narrow scope of the study, so further research with a broader scope and stronger methodological design is recommended to strengthen the validity of the findings.
