Abstract

In the current era of independent curriculum learning, the use of media in learning is very relevant to learning the differentiation of each student. This study aims to examine the correlation between the use of learning media in the form of flannel boards, with creative thinking and student learning outcomes The results of this study are the application of batik flannel board media is significant with the results of the creativity of control class students (who are not subjected to variables) is to reach an average score of 66.4 below the completeness number 75 while the results of the creativity of experimental class students (who are subjected to variables) is to reach an average score of 83.5 above the completeness number 75 with the One Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test normality test. While based on the results of the understanding of the control class students reached an average score of 66.4 below the completeness number 75 while the results of the understanding of the experimental class students, namely the class subjected to the batik flannel board media, reached an average score of 83.5 above the completeness number 75 with the One Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, with the significance test above 0.05, meaning that the data is normal. In conclusion, the implementation of Batik Flannel Board media can increase creativity and understanding of the concept of Mathematical Comparison material in grade V elementary school students.

Abstract

Reading is a fundamental part of language proficiency, especially in Indonesian, which is the national language. Therefore, mastering early reading skills is a prerequisite for mastering other language skills. Finding out whether the use of word card media has an impact on students' reading skills is the purpose of this study. This study used a quasi-experimental research design. Reading assessment was used to collect data. The reliability of the instrument was tested with the split-half method, while its validity was based on content validity. It is recommended that teachers use card media to teach beginning reading in grade two elementary school because the use of word card media can affect students' beginning reading ability. The results showed that the significance value (2-tailed) was 0.05 in accordance with the two means difference test with t-test using SPSS software with a significance level of 0.05. Since the sig value is 0.05, H0 is rejected for the test of the average difference in the final score of students' beginning reading ability, especially between two parties. This indicates that there is a difference between students who use word card media and those who do not use word card media. Keywords: Students' Reading Ability, Word Card Media

Abstract

Students with math learning difficulties often make mistakes when learning to count and when trying to solve story problems. Students frequently experience difficulties when working on problems because they are not able to understand the meaning of the problem and become confused about using arithmetic operations. The purpose of this study is to identify the various kinds of numeracy learning challenges experienced by students, the factors that contribute to these challenges, and the strategies that can be used to overcome math learning challenges in grades IV and V of Sukosari Elementary School. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. The subjects of the study were 10 students in grades IV and V, as well as teachers in grades IV and V. The data collection procedures used were observation, interviews, test techniques and documentation. The results showed that there are several student learning difficulties such as understanding concepts, understanding mathematical language and numeracy skills are some of the challenges of learning mathematics. Furthermore, there are several factors that influence learning difficulties, namely internal and external factors. Students' attitudes and low interest in learning are the main causes of their learning challenges are internal factors. Lack of diversity in teachers' teaching, lack of utilization of learning resources, parents' concern, school infrastructure, and students' lack of sensory ability are examples of external influences that come from outside students. Abstract

Low student interest in Mathematics, particularly in addition and subtraction operations, has resulted in low participation and learning outcomes that do not meet the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC) of 80. This study aims to improve students’ learning outcomes through the use of Strawsand number pocket learning media. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles involving 28 first-grade students. Data were collected through learning evaluations and classroom observations. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ achievement. In the first cycle, 46.43% of students achieved mastery with an average score of 76.25. This increased to 85.71% in the second cycle, with an average score of 83.71. These findings indicate that Straws and number pocket media effectively enhance students’ understanding and problem-solving skills in basic arithmetic operations.

Abstract

This study examines methodological approaches and analytical practices in qualitative case study research within educational contexts. The increasing diversity in the interpretation and implementation of case study research has created methodological inconsistencies, particularly in research design, data collection, and data analysis procedures. Therefore, this systematic review aims to identify methodological characteristics, classify case study approaches, and analyze analytical practices employed in qualitative educational case study research. This study employed a systematic literature review guided by the PRISMA framework. Articles were retrieved from Scopus-indexed journals published between 2018 and 2023. The selected studies were analyzed based on research design, participant selection, data collection techniques, and data analysis procedures. The findings reveal that qualitative case study research in education predominantly employs semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis as primary data sources. Thematic analysis, coding procedures, and triangulation techniques were frequently used to enhance data validity and interpretation. The review also identified variations in the classification and implementation of intrinsic, instrumental, explanatory, and exploratory case studies. These findings highlight the importance of methodological rigor and conceptual clarity in conducting qualitative case study research in educational settings. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model on the cooperation skills and learning outcomes of sixth-grade students of Muhammadiyah Bangkalan Elementary School. This study is a quasi-experimental quantitative study with a pretest-posttest control group design approach. The research location was carried out at Muhammadiyah Bangkalan Elementary School, with the research subjects being sixth-grade students divided into two groups, namely the experimental class that implemented the TGT model and the control class that followed conventional learning. Data collection techniques used learning outcome tests and observations of cooperation skills. Data analysis techniques used were the independent t-test and paired sample t-test to test the differences in results between the experimental and control groups and before and after treatment in the experimental group. The results showed that the TGT cooperative learning model had a significant effect on improving students' learning outcomes and cooperation skills in science learning. The results of the t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, which indicated a significant difference between the control and experimental groups and before and after treatment in the experimental group.
