Abstract

This study aims to compare Robinson's edge detection method and Kirsch's method on image with a focus on the disclosure of special features such as texture, watermark, and design elements. Robinson's edge detection method uses a series of filters with eight neighboring pixel operations, while Kirsch's method uses a series of filters with more specific filter orientation to produce sharper edge responses. Paper money images were selected as research objects because they had distinctive features relevant to edge detection, such as differences in intensity on edge lines, smooth paper textures, and special patterns on watermarks. This research using banknote image and lung X-rays image dataset. From the results of comparison of edge detection with Robinson's method and Kirsch method it can be concluded that on Robinson's method the edge image of banknotes displays more detailed design elements of banknotes such as hero photographs, watermark, logo, and nominal. In the Kirsch method the bank image has a sharp edge response so that many of the design elements on the banknote are not clearly visible and contrasted with other banknotes. In a comparison of edge detection between Robinson and Kirsch's methods on pneumonia-infected lung X-rays, it can be inferred that Robinson produced a fine edge line but was difficult to find infection, while Kirsch produced a rough edge line that clarified infection in pneumonia-infected lungs.

Abstract

This research explores the application of the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method in selecting KIP Lecture scholarship recipients at Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. HAMKA University (UHAMKA). The problem process is currently experiencing slowness and inaccuracy, prompting the need for a Decision Support System to increase accuracy and efficiency. With criteria adapted to UHAMKA policy, the aim of this research is to increase accuracy and reduce selection time. The SAW method is used to give weight to each alternative and this method can help the selection process be more accurate. This method produces efficient ranking of KIP Kuliah scholarship recipients. The results of tests carried out using black box testing show that the implementation of SAW can be efficient and effective. testing based on 2 examples of test cases showed that the SAW method. The accuracy results of the SAW method in case 1 were 100%, in case 2 it was 78% so that it could be used in determining prospective scholarship recipients at UHAMKA and make a positive contribution to student welfare and the image of the institution.

Abstract

Archive information systems are very important in higher education institutions, to make it easier to manage digital archives. Institutions can take advantage of the benefits of digital archives, such as easy access to information, savings in physical space for storage, and protection of documents from damage or loss. One framework for long-term management, maintenance and storage that is often used in digital archives is the Open Archival Information System (OAIS) Reference Model. This research aims to design and build an educational institutional archival information system with the OAIS reference model that supports long-term access and understanding of information, especially in digital archives. The results of this research are the architectural design of an OAIS-based archive system which can be a reference for developing similar archive systems in educational institutions. The results of system testing using the black-box method, with 95% of functionalities passing the test, show that monitoring and evaluation of archives, especially in terms of long-term storage and identification of archive risks, is following user needs.

Abstract

The many activities of higher education institutions with complex business processes can, without realizing it, cause employees at higher education institutions to receive excessive workloads which can lead to decreased employee performance. One way that can encourage employee motivation and performance is by providing remuneration or rewards to people fairly, evenly and consistently with incentives commensurate with the work they have done. This research aims to use the Full Time Equivalent method to evaluate workload with the results of the load being the basis for remuneration calculations using Simple Additive Weighting. The results of this research show that workload and remuneration can be assessed objectively and help make calculations more effective and efficient. The black box testing results show that the system is in accordance with user needs, where 90% of the test data has passed the requirements test. So, users can evaluate workload and provide systematic remuneration so that they can maintain optimal performance using the system built.

Abstract

In this research, the primary objective was to design an innovative user interface (UI) for an Android based quiz application targeted at early childhood education. The User-Cantered Design approach served as the foundation for the entire design process, with a focus on gaining an in-depth understanding of user needs, exploring creative ideas, and developing prototypes that meet their expectations. The resulting design incorporates specific elements tailored to support children's learning, including educational quiz games, visually appealing displays, and an intuitive user experience. Through a series of stages, including problem identification, user understanding, persona creation, brainstorming ideas, prototype development, and testing with early childhood users, this research successfully achieved an engaging and interactive UI design. Data from questionnaires indicated that a majority of respondents gave a score of 74 reflecting a positive evaluation of the user interface. This signifies the design's success in enhancing the learning experience of early childhood learners. These findings can serve as a robust foundation for the development of more effective and engaging educational quiz applications for young children, with a focus on an educational and intuitive user experience.

Abstract

As technology develops, sharing has been done to support learning. In the social 5.0 era, there are 3 things that must be utilized, namely: Internet of Things in the world of education (IoT), Virtual/Augmented Reality in the world of education, and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). So this research was carried out to find out how important the metaverse is for supporting learning. The results of research using this literature study show that the implementation of Metaverse in the education sector has great potential to support distance learning activities that are more interactive and immersive. In addition, Metaverse can provide scientific laboratory simulations, classroom simulations, or historical environment simulations that allow users to learn and interact in that environment.

Abstract

The environment is one of the most important things in life. A dirty environment and scattered rubbish can have a bad impact on humans. Usually, the trash can does not close or open automatically and the trash can is dirty. Moreover, this incident occurred because of factors that stimulate humans to throw rubbish in the right place. This is a mastermind in increasing or not realizing how to keep the world clean, sometimes an innovative approach is needed to attract everyone's attention, thereby eliminating the reluctance to throw rubbish in the right location. Trash cans can be equipped with an Internet of Things (IoT) technology system to make it easier to dispose of waste properly and benefit the community. Using an Ardiouno microcontroller, ultrasonic sensor and servo motor, the lid of this trash can can be opened automatically. The aim of this research is to develop an innovative device, namely a distinctive and attractive trash container, with the ability to open and close independently when detecting movement and knowing whether the trash can is full or not. It is hoped that this gadget can effectively attract people's attention and encourage them to throw away rubbish in the right place. The results of measuring ultrasonic sensor distance data specifically for Servo motors if it detects the condition of an object approaching with a distance data value < 10 cm, then it will activate the Servo motor to start the movement to open and close the trash cover again automatically. Meanwhile, the results of measuring ultra sonic sensor distance data specifically for traffic LEDs if >= 0 cm to <= 7 cm are red, if >= 8 cm to <= 17 cm are yellow, and <18 cm are green.

Abstract

Until now, the process of applying for and extending a Resident Identity Card (KTP) is still involved in bureaucratic procedures that take quite a long time. Apart from that, applications for Resident Identity Cards (KTP) still use paper which has the potential to be lost or damaged. When registering to make a Population Identification Card (KTP) at the Disdukcapil Office, there are often long queues which are exploited by irresponsible District Offices, who charge fraudulent fees on the grounds of speeding up the process of making a Resident Identification Card (KTP) or Family Card (KK).The system design method is based on work analysis (performance), information analysis, economic analysis, control analysis and efficiency analysis. Based on the results of research conducted, the Depok City Disdukcapil information system still has weaknesses in the form of no features for civil registration on the Depok population information and administration system (SIAK) website or its information so they still use third party applications. Information system and population information system website services (SIAK) Depok has a weakness in its service features, where on average most of the features cannot be used. Requirement analysis that has been carried out can help complete the website system in the Depok City Population Information and Administration System (SIAK), so that the civil registration process is fast, precise and accurate.

Abstract

Computer service services are now widely sought after when a computer or laptop device is damaged. But problems arise when customers have to look for and go to a service provider directly at the shop to carry out service or by making a telephone call or WhatsApp. Apart from that, service services rely on promotions through social media or only rely on customer satisfaction through word of mouth. This research aims to design a customer relationship management system for web-based computer repair services that is optimal and efficient based on the customer retention program (CRP) framework. CRP is a part of customer relationship management that focuses on various features that can keep customers coming back. Requirements analysis is carried out by finding functional requirements which are reduced to various design diagrams as the basis for system development. This research carried out black box testing which showed that user needs were met for the CRP framework that was built with the result that 85% of the functionality had passed the requirements test..

Abstract

Student thesis guidance is the final stage in the process of completing a Bachelor's degree at the University level. During the thesis process, students are required to be guided by lecturers who have qualifications relevant to the title of their thesis. The large number of guidance provided to lecturers, and the limited space to receive students, requires an application to regulate the use of rooms and thesis guidance. Therefore, an application is needed that can accommodate the thesis guidance process and room use. The student thesis guidance application uses the First In First Out (FIFO) algorithm and is integrated with the Thesis and Final Project Information System (SISINTA) and the Administration Information System (SIADMIN). The waterfall development method used includes needs analysis, design, implementation, and testing. This application supports reservation, verification, monitoring, and scheduling features. The application can function 100% according to needs and can be used to increase the efficiency and transparency of the thesis guidance process.
