Abstract

Suicide is a deliberate act intended to end one’s life. In Indonesia, this phenomenon remains prevalent and is influenced by various factors, such as psychological conditions, economic pressures, social issues, and environmental factors. This study aims to identify patterns of suicide cases using Clustering techniques, with data sourced from the Semarang and Boyolali Police Departments. The three main variables analyzed are age range, suicide method, and location of the incident. The CRISP-DM approach is applied for data processing, and the K-Means algorithm is used to group relevant data based on these variables. A Silhouette score of 84% indicates a good separation between clusters. Visualization with Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is used to map the clusters more comprehensively. The most vulnerable group to commit suicide is individuals in the productive age range, who tend to use hanging as the method and do so in private homes. This study is expected further insights into the suicide phenomenon in Indonesia.

Abstract

Email phishing is a fraudulent technique used by cybercriminals to obtain sensitive information through emails that appear legitimate but have malicious purposes. Information security has become a crucial aspect in the increasingly developing digital world, especially along with the increasing threat of cybercrime, such as email phishing. In this context, implementing Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is one solution to increase awareness and mitigate risks against phishing attacks. SSL, which is a security protocol for data encryption, can help protect digital communications by authenticating servers and encrypting data sent, thereby reducing the potential for misuse of personal data sent via email. This research aims to examine the role of SSL in providing protection against email phishing and increasing user awareness regarding the importance of information security in the use of digital technology. Through an information security interpretation approach, this study suggests that SSL can serve as an effective barrier in reducing the risk of phishing attacks and increasing the level of user trust in the emails received. Therefore, it is important for individuals or organizations to understand and apply information security principles such as the use of SSL to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of data exchanged online.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of Wi-Fi network security at MI Inwanul Huda using quantitative methods, with a technical network testing approach and user surveys. The test results show that the Wi-Fi network at MI Inwanul Huda has several security gaps, including the use of suboptimal WPA2 encryption, weak passwords used, and device firmware that has not been updated. The device configuration evaluation also found that the firewall had not been properly activated, and some devices used default password settings that were vulnerable to exploitation. A survey of 30 network users showed that 70% of users did not understand basic network security measures, while 65% used the same password for various services. This indicates low user awareness of network security. Recommendations proposed include improving technical security through the implementation of WPA3, regular device updates, and user education regarding network security practices. With these steps, it is hoped that the Wi-Fi network at MI Inwanul Huda can support technology-based learning more safely.

Abstract

organizations, one of which is Muhammadiyah University, Prof. DR. HAMKA to switch to a digital mailing system. One form of innovation is the online letter disposition system, which enables the process of receiving, distributing and managing letters more quickly, efficiently and transparently compared to manual methods. This system reduces dependence on physical documents, thereby reducing the risk of document loss and speeding up the flow of communication between work units. However, for this system to be effective and comfortable to use, the usability aspect is an important key, because users expect ease in operating each feature. This research focuses on evaluating the usability of the online disposition letter system through a heuristic approach, to identify areas that still require improvement. The evaluation results show that although this system already has a relatively consistent interface structure, several features still need improvement, especially in the aspects of dashboard interactivity, display consistency, and flexibility in mail management. It is hoped that the recommendations resulting from this research can serve as a guide for developers in improving user experience, so that this system is able to support organizational operations more optimally.

Abstract

Toko Nasution, a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) in the retail sector, faces challenges in transaction recording and data management using conventional methods, which pose risks of data loss and difficulty in integrating branch operations. The proposed solution is the implementation of a web-based POS system using Laravel 11. The system is designed using the prototype method and employs Unified Modeling Language (UML) for system design. The research began with interviews with the store owner, followed by designing a prototype using Balsamiq 3, which was tested and evaluated by the SME owner. After the prototype was approved, coding and implementation were carried out, followed by Alpha and Beta testing using the black-box method to ensure the system's functionality. The implementation results in reduced data loss risks, easier data-driven decision-making, improved operational efficiency, and increased customer satisfaction. The system also manages data in real-time, and the POS system handles transactions smoothly.

Abstract

It is undeniable that technology is developing very rapidly, including in the field of information technology which has expanded to various sectors including the health sector. There is an openness of opportunities to handle problems by overcoming various problems through the use of mobile-based systems. One of them is by creating an application to overcome insomnia. This research aims to design the optimal Autonomous Sensoric Meridian Responses (ASMR) Audio UI / UX to overcome insomnia by applying the Design Thinking method, where there are 5 steps, namely, empathize, define, ideate, prototyping, and testing. Data collection is carried out using observation methods, interview psychologist discussion methods, and interview methods for 6 respondents to explore user problems. The results of usability testing using maze.co show a report value of 93 with 6 respondents, while through the questionnaire a value of 85 grade A, was obtained with 10 questions from the System Usability Scale (SUS). From the two testing methods, it was concluded that the Hoamz application prototype design has met user needs.

Abstract

Building as a source of energy is not something extraordinary, as in BIPV (building-integrated photovoltaic) technology. Likewise, making buildings a NZEB (net zero energy building) has become a necessity in the context of saving energy use. One energy converter that has been used in buildings is PLTS or solar cells, which is a power plant that converts solar radiation into electrical energy (photovoltaic system). The conversion process is influenced by the direction of sunlight coming to the position of the solar cells that are placed on the roof of the building. This study aims to determine the effect of the direction of sunlight on the performance of solar cells, so that it is obtained from the right direction of sunlight. Solar cells are exposed to the north, east and west. The input parameters for each direction are the intensity of solar radiation, air humidity, wind speed, air temperature, upper side temperature and lower side temperature of the solar cell. Meanwhile, the resulting output parameters are electric voltage and electric current. The results showed that the north direction without cooling produced a total output power of 666.59 W and an average efficiency of 13.54%, for those using the cooler produced a total output power of 737.71 W and an average efficiency of 14.16%. East direction produces a total output power of 454.81 W and an average efficiency of 11.51%, for those using the cooling system it produces a total output power of 542.25 W and an average efficiency of 13.90%. West direction produces a total output power of 340.33 W and an average efficiency of 13.22% for those using a cooling system resulting in a total output power of 550.72 W and an average efficiency of 13.29%. The highest performance of solar cells is obtained from solar cells that are placed towards the North using a cooler where the total output power is 737.71 W and an average efficiency of 14.16%, and for without a cooling system the total output power is 666.59 W and the average efficiency is 13.54%.

Abstract

Youtube is an application that is still widely used today where Youtube users can watch and post various types of videos ranging from entertainment, news, and insights for free. With the large number of Youtube application users, more and more people are giving comments ranging from positive to negative comments on the Youtube application on the Google Play Store. The purpose of this study is to analyze the sentiment of Youtube application users based on reviews on the Google Play Store. This study went through the stages of data extraction, data labeling, text preprocessing, and also the classification of the Naive Bayes Classifier and K-NN algorithms. After going through the Naive Bayes Classifier and K-NN classification stages, namely the K-NN algorithm produced 81,26% with a precision value of 83,29% and a recall value of 96,29% while the Naive Bayes Classifier algorithm only produced an accuracy value of 78,24%, precision of 82,83% and recall of 92,43%. This means that from the results of the sentiment analysis, the K-NN algorithm is superior to the Naive Bayes Classifier algorithm and public opinion towards the YouTube application is more negative than positive.

Abstract

This research focuses on the transformation of Online Learning Uhamka (OLU) online learning website into a mobile application to overcome accessibility and display constraints that users often complain about on mobile devices. Through the application of the Design Thinking method which includes the stages of empathy, problem formulation, ideation, prototype development, and testing, this research seeks to design a responsive and user-friendly application. The UI/UX solution developed is based on user needs analysis, so that the application can be used comfortably on Android and iOS devices. By providing key features, such as assignment collection, attendance, and material access, the app is expected to improve the limitations of the website version and have a positive impact on users' learning effectiveness and experience in the context of online learning.
